Therapeutic Approach
Because every individual, couple, family, and group is unique, my style of therapy may differ somewhat depending on you. I believe therapy is best when it is interactive, experiential and based on the needs of each client. I work with people to highlight their usual ways of relating and to increase their awareness of themselves and the choices they make. Therapy often begins by attending to what you are aware of and what you need. For many, this means slowing down enough to allow feelings to emerge.

Psychotherapy is built upon verbal interaction, but we may also use other sources of knowledge and experience such as dreams, creative works, imagined conversation, journal writing, or body awareness to help explore or clarify an issue. We will also pay attention to the nature of our relationship as well as to the influence of family issues.

Day and evening appointments are available.
