Cocaine Rehab Costs

Cocaine, Most Widely Used

Cocaine, or blow, snow, nose candy, as it is more commonly referred to, is one of the most popular and widely used drugs. In fact, it’s so popular that it is the second most commonly used illicit drug in the U.S.

Many Uses of Cocaine

This drug is a powerful stimulant that is derived from the coca leaf and it can be used either as a surface anesthetic or for pleasure. It can be snorted, injected or if it is in the form of “crack cocaine” it can be smoked. Cocaine gives its users a euphoric high, makes them feel confident, invincible, carefree and alert. Also, cocaine is commonly used as a weight loss tool because it makes its users have no appetite.

Serious After Effects of Coke

Cocaine is a very potent and dangerous drug, and after the happy euphoric feelings subside there are some serious after effects. Some of these effects are insomnia, loss of appetite, blurred vision, vomiting, high anxiety, irritability and nasal infections. There are also some long-term effects associated with perpetual cocaine use such as violent mood swings, depression, heart attacks, strokes or seizures.

This drug is also very addicting, and the powerful stimulating effects of cocaine leave its users craving more. Also, the high from cocaine is short lived, which leaves the user just wanting more.

Signs of cocaine dependency:

  • Constantly craving cocaine
  • Withdrawal symptoms when you try to stop using cocaine
  • Suffering financial hardships due to cocaine use
  • Negative consequences, such as suffered relationships

Cocaine Rehab Centers

A cocaine addiction can be a life altering issue; this is why it is important to seek help. Many people who suffer from a drug, or cocaine, addiction want help and want to get better, which is why they seek professional help at drug rehabilitation centers.

Rehab usually costs a little more than $1,400 for outpatient rehabilitation treatment, nearly $4,000 for residential drug rehabilitation treatment programs and a little over $7,000 for outpatient treatment with methadone.

Although rehab seems expensive, in the long run it would be cheaper then a life of continual drug abuse. Continued use of cocaine is not only expensive, but it also takes a toll on a person’s physical, psychological and emotional well-being. Cocaine abuse can ruin relationships, drain bank accounts and lead to serious health issues, which is why rehab is the more cost-effective option.

When it comes to drug rehab centers, there are many different types that a person can choose, one type being luxury rehab centers. At these top-rated rehabilitation centers, patients are offered many amenities such as Pilates, yoga, acupuncture, psychotherapy and even hypnotherapy. But these high-end rehabilitation centers cost a pretty penny, for example, some rehabilitation centers located in Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and the Hollywood Hills, costs patients up to $96,000 per month.

Low Cost Rehab Options

On the other end of the spectrum there are many free or low cost options. Some insurance companies will cover some of the cost, or all of the cost, of certain drug rehab centers, which is why it’s best to check with your insurance company before you make your decision on a rehab center.

Treatment for cocaine addiction starts with detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, which is why it’s best to go through detox under medical supervision. After detox, the treatment begins, which can be different at every drug rehab facility, but usually consists of individual and group therapy sessions.

It is hard to overcome an addiction and it is even harder to do it alone, which is why rehab is very beneficial to anyone trying to overcome an addiction.
