I had some feedback (as if the admins dont have enough work already hm)
Nice new system! This is good, all the divisions and so on. But thats a LOT of divisions. Are some overlapping? I think more thought should go into that.
What I'd do is this maybe: Change the "Counseling" header to "Counseling and Support". Take out the Counseling from the sub-forum names: Marriage and Relationships (keep it all in one, dont have a seperate one for Couples) .. and so on. The Forum home page needs more work definitely – a lot of work. Its a step in the right direction but needs more work to make better distinct and most of all, "easy to choose" suggestions.
Credit Counseling, thats not as important as the other sub-sections. The Counseling is basically listing all the different types of counseling. Thats not the approach that should be taken when creating the sub-sections. It should be: "If somoene comes here, what will they post about and do they find it easy to decide where to post it?"
Put important/most used sections at the top. I'd go over the posts that people have made on the site before and create classifications from them. Also check out other counseling related forums and see what they've come up.
Dont keep it restricted to "help" related stuff. Create other forums too e.g.: News and Views, Introductions for new comers, General Chat (anything goes).
Oh yea, all this has to be corrected. Do this. Get someone who hasnt been to the site before, and ask them to take the role of someone who needs help and give you their first impressions.
The site loads a bit slow. I'd have gone with vbulletin as the forum software (not free, $200 or so for the license but very worth it and its not much). But its much better than before. I'd write more and give some more constructive/organized feedback but I just wanted to say that I feel the forum home page needs more work to be user friendly and you know, all that.

One thing I learned with the new format is that if you search a topic, it will show what subcategory it has been placed under. Some of the "archived" threads, from 2 days ago and beyond, have been moved around. There's no more libs and support. If you're looking for an old thread, even from support, it might not be in the new General Support, it might have been placed in Social Issues.
I wonder if it's too late to create an Off-Topic - for the more chitchatty threads. Allaboutchatter. lol. sorry.

I understand all your sentiments but the site has really changed a lot because of the newly implemented system. Maybe you've been wanting to experience the support you've had 2 years ago and that is because OLD SERVER used to run this site that time. As much as we want to hold on to all veteran posters like you guys, we can't do anything about it because of the many changes that might be unacceptable to old members. We cannot explain it all technically what really happened to the old AAC but what we can re-assure you is that this site will continue to offer relevant information coming from different pages that you can read for free. Hence, the forum is also open to anyone whose needing support and shoulders to lean on.
We won't force everyone to remain and continue to support this site but on behalf of all the people who stayed and for all those who registered and accepted the changes, we are more than happy to entertain and have them. This site will continue to cherish all the members regardless if they are veterans or not. Your freedom is more important for us. As long as the the rules and regulations of this site have been followed accordingly then anyone with good intention is welcome to join.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you so much for all your feedback. Take care!

Honestly, I don't see the big deal with the required changes. I just read topics that I have not already read. If older topics from years ago become posted, I don't see the point of replying to them unless the old post is used to explain a new problem or idea. Why would anyone address someone's issue from 2002? Unless that person is currently posting concerning issues.
In my opinion, the postings should be limited to one page of explanation as well. It becomes very annoying to read three pages of troubles. I know its difficult at times to condense, but we all have time constraints of some kind or another & sometimes I have to stop reading and go about my daily living!
I dislike the cutting and pasting of someone else's advice or comments. I feel it is rude. If you want to commend someone on their advice, it's not necessary to repeat their actual words.
