Hi Free,

Yes I guess it has been a few days since I posted. But hey, my last post was fairly intense, so...

Anyway, I'm still around. Work is busy--feel like I'm always behind.

Hi wd!

I worry about you when you're not here.

I can understand the instense post and gotta take a break- you're making alot of ground wd. You may not see it, but it's pretty obvious. that's a good thing.

People's lookin for you on other threads, 'tis why I started this one.

You are very highly thought of here, and missed when you're gone.

glad you answered.

Well look who I found wandering the halls. (((Mama))). Folks have been looking for you too girlfriend- over on the support side.

WD I miss you! I know we don't normally chat/debate, however, when you're not chirping, you're sorely missed- by me anyway.

Hello free, hope all is well with you and yours.

Hi Isis, Mammcinamon, and Juanita!

Just when things get quiet, folks pop out of the cyber woodwork and all heck breaks loose.

Juanita,

I hope your taking control of your own destiny project is going well.

Hey, am I the only one who remembers a kid's TV show called "Isis?"

It was kind of a daffy precursor to Xena Warrior Princess, which was also daffy, but I loved that show.

Hey Worried Dad!

No mention of me? Wow... I am losing my self importance! HA HA!

That... and I now have a new picture of you that I left on the Afgan thread.

Those girls are in need of a Worried Dad, and now they have a Zin-Mom, though they changed my name to Zen-Mom; that is pretty funny... don't know how "Zen" I am?

So, we are now parents... how 'bout that?

Hope you are ALL well.

Love,

Z.

Oh I was going to get to you Zin-Mom.

See, they seem to have some kind of gal thing going on over there at the refuge.

Hurting women are often suspicious or hostile to men, on the lookout for patronization or even worse patriarchal kinda guys. So I wouldn't dream of trying to do a Dad thing with anyone except my own personal offspring.

Best I can be is a goofy brother figure who tries offer a little "take three steps back" perspective, crack some jokes, to lighten things up a little.

I do hate to see people suffer needlessly, though.

I appreciate your work and your kindness. And your risk taking.

You have allways related to me with respect and always had integrity. You still have that Zin-Mom cachet to me.

When I say hurting women, I particularly mean women who have been hurt by men.

Befriending trustworthy men can help women heal, but I really think a lot of that work needs to be done woman-to-woman.

Great... a brother to help them take three steps back? Why is it, I get all the "younger brothers?" Aside from having four younger brothers (by blood) of my own?

Anyway... how are you my friend? did you have a good Thanksgiving? We did, surrounded by family and friends and I had a blast cooking up in the kitchen.

Much love,

Z.

Hi Zin,

Hey, I get accused of being an evil abusive, partricarchal narcissist misogynist here enough. Why my very nickname draws fire sometimes. It's the word "Dad."

I had a very quiet thanksgiving here at home. Slept in, read short stories, watched movies. That reminds me. I am sooo single. Again.

Hey WD,

I don't know, the nice quiet sounds peaceful in comparison to the controlled chaos of a Zinnie Thanksgiving - in which finally ended with 73 people here.

Family... children, spouses, friends, a stray waitress and her daughter that one of my son's befriended.

So, dare I ask - did you partake in the bubble bath ritual?

Z.

Don't hang around aac much anymore, but glad you are ok.

By the way, have been thinking to ask you...Have you ever read the 1% Doctrine by Russ Susskind? I have not, but will be...just wondered about your take of it if you have read it?
