It's a George Carlin Video called "Who owns You Americans"

It's about the corruption in Government and how Corporations influence and control peoples thinking and lives.

It's about how we don't have freedom anymore and the "American Dream" is dead. We're all owned.

Not so bad if we weren't all being squeezed, our jobs, homes and assetts eroding away.

Our nations masquerading as spreading democracy and prosperity are really fascist regimes that aim to control all the planets resources, and people.

It's getting worse.

Do we play along or wake up and try to stop it.

I wish I had a transcript but written content, I suppose, is copyrighted.

I don't know if you're on the revolution band wagon or this is up your alley but there ya go! ;0)

Here's another important video. PLEASE watch this everyone. It is emotional but it is TRUE.

Try to start protecting yourselves from further harm.

It's called "Question Your Reality" By Alex Jones.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.....re=related

Destiny. Revolution is what set things right for so many people in Europe, South Africa, America and Canada. It gave us some rights and freedoms for a short time.

(Getting wireless/satelitte internet would be beneficial if you can. ;0) because the interent is the only place you'll get the truth. For how long? who knows!)

Well, things are WRONG now, and i doubt most people feel content. Science, technology and media are being used to make us sick physically and mentally. Most of us are opting for escape and denial.

I can't live that way because I have a son, myself and a partner, who i feel i need to protect. This circle, community, is getting larger, with friends and associates. The wave is swelling.

It's a journey and i have a long way to go, but at least I'm on it!

Be Well!

Hi Tez!

What am i going to do about it?

Face my own cowardice where i can meaning spread the word and resist dangerous conformist temptations.

(I once said here i'm not going to bother voicing my beliefs. I obviously changed my mind)

I make my statements, enforce my beliefs, by where i spend my money within this flawed system.I try to moniter the entertainment and media i watch. For the most part I don't watch the news or read the newspaper. I don't watch entertainamnet anymore that promotes and glorifies violence.

Some other things i posted in the fanaticism thread.
This is another good video.

My fellow canucker. Got your cpu prob solved I see. Good.

Re - what to do? I often see you doing something very important - Posting these ugly truths! It's crucial for the ambitious few that have actually done some research into the propaganda being fed us by the 'powers that be' to spread the word as best they can. I think a person should feel morally obligated to do so, really. Not a simple task, but an absolutely essential one.

Sadly, sheeple just don't want to let go of what they presently believe so, you meet a lot of opposition. At least I have. People will call you a 'conspiracy nut' & such.

I do believe that if people have enough repeated factual info made available to them from different sources, then they can & will start to question the validity of what they presently consider 'the truth' & ultimately change their minds. Folks are slowly but steadily becoming more & more aware of what's really going on behind the smoke & mirrors.

Got to loose the Fed & apply a non food items tax only. Oh yeah - gotta replace the gold standard too!
If only it was that easy. 🙁 Ah well, it's one step at a time for now.

MsGuided- I know one thing for a fact that there is more harm being done with people taking unecessary medications and having unecessary medical procedures than is good for them. Even over the counter medication is not good. Some vitamins are toxic as well.

I need to make a conscious effort when it comes to the decisions I make. I worry most for the future of my children and grandchildren.

I am glad to hear you have developed a support system.

CC! ((Canadian Club))

Pass the bottle!ahahaha

Yea. Sorted out some of my PC probs by downloading a spyware program, scans, and fiddling with 2 browsers and my security settings. It still isn't completely fixed but i found a way around things for now.( notice my spelling is back to mistakes since i don't have spellcheck on this browser. Oh well!)

I'm having some sort of awakening. Every time i get knocked down, I lay there for a bit, cry, then i get up with a ferver, ready to fight!

It is at the core of my soul. I can only live better if i listen to this inner voice. ( that has some universal connection to a higher power? I don't know yet)

We ARE all connected with our sicknes's or health and i balk at all this alone talk. Being alone is what the elite want, so they can influence us more. Isolation will drive people to any sort of attention or sweet talk.

Fight the collective psychosis and poison we're all being fed.

It isn't easy, by any stretch, for the reasons you list above.

But it's good the info is out there, seeping into mainstream a bit. It doesn't even have to be mainstream. Those with a modicum of critical thought are questioning, searching.

Every empire eventually falls ...but this one has morphed and resurfaced time and again.Things are going to get VERY ugly!

Destiny. Thinking of my son just stabs me in the heart. He's somewhat lost in all this mess. He is so interested in war games and play weaponry. I've tried to explain to him, how he's being programmed, his interest will only wound him inside. Am i to abandom him if he faulters?

I avoid all medications except aspirin and marijuana.

Cannabis is another natural element, benficial medicine, being slandered by the elite propaganda machine.

The support system is a work in progress. It's mostly new so time, some tests will tell. I am finding that my social choices are reeping good results so that's an improvement from my conditioned past.

Thanks for reaching out. We never really communicate and i'm glad we finally did.

Be Well!

Big industrialist & bankers have used the federal government, the media & the academic community to get their way & this has always been with us. Getting rid of the Federal reserve & replacing it by government issued bank notes that are redeemable in gold coin and bullion set at a specific rate in gold is the only way that the people in America & the world can ever be free of war & poverty.

Did you know?....

..that in 1838, President Jackson abolished the Second Bank of the United States by Executive Order and took the money out of it and paid off the national debt to zero, and began issuing interest free US bank notes backed by gold and silver. He was shot of course, (no surprise) but the gun mis-fired at point blank range. He is known to have said, "you bankers are a den of vipers and I will rout you out". He has "I killed the bank" carved into his headstone.

I'll bet we don't ever see the current pres make an attempt at trying anything like this. Puppet-boy

M,

You said> "Every empire eventually falls ...but this one has morphed and resurfaced time and again.Things are going to get VERY ugly!"

Yea, once getting rid of the Fed, if it ever happens at all, the primary danger after that is some other scheme being slid under the radar that enslaves us yet again. Colour me paranoid but, an amendment to the consitution is needed to mandate a Gold Standard and another amendement to rescind the 16th amendment mandating the income tax.

The Fed and IRS must be abolished, replaced by interest free US Notes backed by real gold reserves, and a VAT tax on all non food purchases. Then you would see the global GDP double in a generation and global debt virtually disappear.

God Damn - my tooth hurts!! I can hardly type now. F#%k!!! I finally made an appointment this aft to spend hundreds of dollars tomorrow at the dentists. Meanwhile, I've gotta go suck some more codeine down my neck & writhe in pain for awhile. Be well!

(((CC)))

You'r all riled up!

Everything you offered as a fix is true.

But our world isn't run by fairness or sustainability.

We have rapists running things. Raping us, raping the planet. I don't get how people can't "feel" that on some level and not begin to act somehow.

We get doled out the odd sad story solved, justice served, a bad situation rectified to keep us thinking things are ok!?

Too bad about your Dental problem. Put some cinnamon toothpicks in your "diet", or just get cinnamon altoids. Ya know ya can't even buy Big Red, or REAL cinnamon gum anymore without artificial sweeteners? Cinnamon is the best tooth decay fighter.

I'm lucky to have good teeth. Haven't had a cavity in almost 15 yrs.

A huffer doesn't really get rid of pain. Just mellows things a bit. U need some Heroine for that!HA!

Start growing poppies from bakers poppy seed. Papaver somniferum seeds galore, from the opium trade ( supplying Pharms) goes to baking.

It's all within our reach! As long as we don't get caught!

Hope ya feel better!

MsGuided-How old is your son? Both my sons enjoy playing violent X box games. Seems all the boys do. But since this summer my older son has been into skateboarding and doesnt really play with is X box much at all. He asked me to put it up for sale. My younger son is not allowed to play video games period. He needs to focus on controlling himself. He has a ton of excess energy and needs to do outdoor things. I only take tylenol. I am too sensitive to medications. My X was brought up in the pot cultures. Our county is now issuing the pot cards. Wont be long til Walmart or something like that will be doing mass production of pot and selling it to the public like cigarettes. Like everything else.

Hi Destiny.

My son is 18 now.

When he was younger i had him in swimming and Hockey up until he was fifteen. Lots of outdoor activities. He used to play paintball too, but it faded of with his friends.

He's been interested in War games since he was 8, but he played Command an conquer. It is an aerial strategic game, with no eye to eye combat. It's all stratedgy, building bases, mapping etc.

Now he's into Dawn of War, and plays a face to face assault rifle game online.

I just don't like war. Don't like the message or how it infiltrates a childs psyche.

He is gentle with animals and his friends. Has had a Lizard for almost 1o years now and takes care of that. But it's the outside influences I'm getting pretty upset about.

Our Kids are being sold a ton of crap, poisoned and being abused by the system. They see whats going on.

I can't stand guns. I just worry ya know?
AND when he was in elementary, he was being harassed to the point he had stomach cramps/anxiety. His doctor wanted to put him on meds and i said "NO WAY".....We moved and i transfered him to another school.

I think his interest in war games are a backlash, dealing with the cruelty he experiencedfrom past staff and students. Now his teachers always say he's very well mannered and respectful toward others. He doesn't have behavioural problems. it was his environement.

I never knew you didn't take meds.

We have an uphill battle trying to remain healthy and drug free being that we're getting older.

MsGuided- Hey. Now I never said I didnt need meds or couldnt possibly benefit from them. I just cant take them if I do I develop every side effect in the world which is worse then the reason why they were perscribed to me to begin with.

My son had an air gun. I just gave it and the ammo to a gun shop to sell. He is away at boarding school and I want to make sure we do things differently when he gets home. My kids used to have paintball guns but grew out of them.

My oldest son has a neurological problem from either a genetic problem, or a birth injury. His upper extremities are weak. He is scared of being beat up. But he has such a wonderful disposition, gets along great, keeps friends. But he does love to play war games, and watch movies about weaklings that get strong and beat up someone. He will let others walk all over him just to avoid a physical confrontation. He has a little poodle he loves. I think he got his personality from his dad I am sure you could have guess that (LOL).

At our age maintaining our health is a monumental task. I am detoxing from sugar today. Have to go pick up my son from the skate board park.

What meds did the doc want to put your son on? I will tell you about my sons doc and his experience with meds later.

What are your thoughts Tez?"

At the risk of appearinging 'patronizing' or 'proselytizing', I will venture forth with my thoughts about what you wrote, including the video which I watched.

Collectively, we are all instigating and contributing to the world about us. In order to change our behavior, we must first change our mind in the direction appropriate for making a better world. But what constitutes a better world??? A sagacious mind is required to answer that question at any depth. Few of us, myself included, possess such a mind at present.

In regard to the nature of such a mind, the words of Seng T'san ring true for me; they are very profound; in the effort to possess such a mind are most relevant indeed.

"The Great Way is not difficult

for those who have no preferences.

When love and hate are both absent

everything becomes clear and undisguised.

Make the smallest distinction, however,

and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart.

If you wish to see the truth

then hold no opinions for or against anything.

To set up what you like against what you dislike

is the disease of the mind.

When the deep meaning of things is not understood,

the mind’s essential peace is disturbed to no avail.

The Way is perfect like vast space

where nothing is lacking and nothing in excess.

Indeed, it is due to our choosing to accept or reject

that we do not see the true nature of things.

Live neither in the entanglements of outer things,

nor in inner feelings of emptiness.

Be serene in the oneness of things and such

erroneous views will disappear by themselves.

When you try to stop activity by passivity

your very effort fills you with activity.

As long as you remain in one extreme or the other

you will never know Oneness.

Those who do not live in the single Way

fail in both activity and passivity,

assertion and denial.

To deny the reality of things

is to miss their reality;

To assert the emptiness of things

is to miss their reality.

The more you talk and think about it,

the further astray you wander from the truth.

Stop talking and thinking,

and there is nothing you will not be able to know.

To return to the root is to find meaning,

but to pursue appearances is to miss the source.

At the moment of inner enlightenment

there is a going beyond appearance and emptiness.

The changes that appear to occur in the empty world

we call real only because of our ignorance.

Do not search for the truth;

only cease to cherish opinions.

do not remain in the dualistic state.

Avoid such pursuits carefully.

If there is even a trace of this and that,

of right and wrong,

the mind-essence will be lost in confusion.

Although all dualities come from the One,

do not be attached even to this One.

When the mind exists undisturbed in the Way,

nothing in the world can offend.

And when a thing can no longer offend,

it ceases to exist in the old way.

When no discriminating thoughts arise,

the old mind ceases to exist.

When thought objects vanish,

the thinking-subject vanishes:

As when the mind vanishes, objects vanish.

Things are objects because of the subject (mind):

the mind (subject) is such because of things (object).

Understand the relativity of these two

and the basic reality: the unity of emptiness.

In this Emptiness the two are indistinguishable

and each contains in itself the whole world.

If you do not discriminate between coarse and fine

you will not be tempted to prejudice and opinion.

To live in the Great Way is neither easy nor difficult.

But those with limited views are fearful and irresolute:

the faster they hurry, the slower they go.

And clinging (attachment) cannot be limited:

Even to be attached to the idea of enlightenment

is to go astray.

Just let things be in their own way

and there will be neither coming not going.

Obey the nature of things (your own nature)

and you will walk freely and undisturbed.

When the thought is in bondage the truth is hidden

for everything is murky and unclear.

And the burdensome practice of judging

brings annoyance and weariness.

What benefit can be derived

from distinctions and separations?

If you wish to move in the One Way

do not dislike even the world of senses and ideas.

Indeed, to accept them fully

is identical with enlightenment.

The wise man strives to no goals

but the foolish man fetters himself.

There is one Dharma, not many.

Distinctions arise

from the clinging needs of the ignorant.

To seek Mind with the (discriminating) mind

is the greatest of all mistakes.

Rest and unrest derive from illusion;

with enlightenment

there is no liking and disliking.

All dualities come from ignorant inference.

They are like dreams or flowers in air -

foolish to try to grasp them.

Gain and loss, right and wrong,

such thoughts must

finally be abolished at once.

If the eye never sleeps,

all dreams will naturally cease.

If the mind makes no discriminations,

the ten thousand things are as they are,

of single essence.

To understand the mystery of this One-essence

is to be released from all entanglements.

When all things are seen equally

the timeless Self-essence is reached,

No comparisons or analogies are possible

in this causeless, relationless state.

Consider movement stationary

and the stationary in motion,

both movement and rest disappear.

When such dualities cease to exist

Oneness itself cannot exist.

To this ultimate finality

no law or description applies.

For the unified mind in accord with the way

all self-centered striving ceases.

Doubts and irresolutions vanish

and life in true faith is possible.

With a single stroke we are freed from bondage:

Nothing clings to us and we hold to nothing.

All is empty, clear, self-illuminating,

with no exertion of the mind’s power.

Here thought, feeling,

knowledge and imagination are of no value.

In this world of suchness

there is neither self nor other-than-self.

To come directly into harmony with this reality

just say when doubt rises "not two".

In this "not two" nothing is separate,

nothing is excluded.

No matter when or where,

enlightenment means entering this truth.

And this truth is beyond extension

or diminution in time and space:

In it a single thought is ten thousand years.

Emptiness here, emptiness there,

but the infinite universe

stands always before your eyes.

Infinitely large and infinitely small;

no difference, for definitions have vanished

and no boundaries are seen.

So too with Being and non-Being.

Don’t waste time in doubts and arguments

That have nothing to do with this.

One thing, all things,

move among and intermingle without distinction.

To live in this realization

is to be without anxiety about non-perfection.

To live in this faith is the road to non-duality,

because the non-dual is one with the trusting mind.

Words!

The Way is beyond language,

for in it there is

no yesterday

no tomorrow

no today.

The above neither implies opting out of the world, nor becoming apathetic, nor becoming cold and indifferent to the sufferings of ourselves and others. It is all about attaining a mindset that enables the 'seeing of what really is' rather than seeing some distorted view that has been projected by a preconditioned, dualistic mind.

Hi MsGuided

Brilliant video of a brilliant man.

I going to go watch your next video, but on a related note, there is a very interesting book and website called

"Who Rules America?" by William Domhoff, Professor of Sociology at UCSC.

He uses scholarly research and analysis to reach the same conclusion that Carlin did.

From the site:

Q: So, who does rule America?

A: The owners and managers of large income-producing properties; i.e., corporations, banks, and agri-businesses. But they have plenty of help from the managers and experts they hire. You can read the essential details of the argument in this summary of Who Rules America?, or look for the book itself at Amazon.com.

Hey Tez. Hope you're well.

Damn, that was a long-winded piece of literature there! The scroll wheel on my mouse is still smokin!! hehe

So, in my estimation, it's highly unlikely that the masses are ever going to develop that "segacious" mindset required to make a distinction between what is really better or worse. At least not anytime soon. Wouldn't you agree? Should that be the case - how then, in your opinion, are we to respond to the growing amount of available info that's exposing the corruptness of the ruling elite?

Are you suggesting that although we can & should be concerned for the plight of other, we should only be pursuing that deeper understanding of 'what really is' so as to effect harmony within the universe - type o thing??

Oh, could you maybe dumb down your response a tad - fer the likes o me?

MsGuided,

(First off, if you don't mind my saying - I think that you have probably outgrown your username, in that it doesn't appear to me that you are 'Misguided' at all nowdays...qute the contrary, IMHO.)

That being said, this is a great thread and I am glad that you have started it!

You are so right on in that the late, great George Carlin really cut to the chase on so many contemporary issues and they atill ring true today!!!!!

I am learning that it is perhaps certain
gutsy' comedians of the day that seem to be the ones that are really on the forefront and have their fingers clearly on the pulse of what is really going down in this country and world.

Like Destiny, I have dial-up too, so I can't watch videos - but not too long ago, I caught Katt Williams' show from Washington DC last year entitled: 'It's Pimpin Pimpin'

I think this guy is a genius!

Anyone else catch this?

The first time I watched it, I was a little shocked at the language - (but I quickly got over myself.)

Here is a link in case anyone wants to watch it:

http://www.veoh.com/browse/vid.....4kK2Nabz6#

I think that you can watch it for free? It is supposed to be 77 minutes long. I don't know how these things work as, like I said before, I have dial-up, but I think that it can be viewed for free.

Anyways, I like to watch the Daily Show with Jon Stewart & The Cobert Report on the Comedy Central channel. No surprise that these shows continue to gain in popularity.

Anyway, I have lots more to write about this subject, but will go ahead and just post this for now.

Let's keep this discussion going!!!!!

Tez,

Please. Please tell me:

Do you ever have an original thought of your own - to actually 'risk' such a thing - or must you always piggy-back and somehow ride upon the backs of someone else/great elder as a mere shoddy reflection of your own lowly self worth?

I think that what you post is extremely lofty and ideal and really does have its own merits, I just have to wonder how practical is it really, in this world?

Seems to me that you just like to 'spout off' some kind of escoteric buddist-like message - talking DOWN to just us mere 'unenlightened' mere mortals - you know - those lowly lifes amongst us who are just trying to makes ends meet - that it all is well and good IF most of us had the luxury to live on some kind of mountain-top and had nothing better to do with our days and our meals and everything thing else pretty much paid for us and had the luxury to sit back and point our fingers and say that so-and-so just simply does not 'get-it' and that another so-and-so is not enlightened and, never mind the buddist mortgage payment - for we are pretty much above and beyond ANY of that anywho..............

Give me a break!

Tell me Tez, do you collect social security?

You recieve a pension?

You get some kind of monetary gain from being in the US service?

Are you sitting 'pretty' - financially?

Ya do? Well, good for you!

You know?

Hell - who wouldn't LIKE the simple buddist, non- confrontational lifestyle given all of that?

Being able to comfortably sit back and 'point fingers' to all those 'less not yet so enlightened?'

No bills to pay? NO popular society to 'deal with' Imagine just those two things alone?????

Hell, I ought to come up with a few choice things in my own right given THESE conditions!!!!!!!!!

Thing is Tez, you are out of touch, IMHO. I would suspect. Please correct me if I am wrong...........

You can go on and on about your slant of things and all of that - thing is, you ain't like the rest of us, Tez.

You have no earthly clue, sweetie!

You can go on and on about your stuff even here in this post - thing is - you are way over our heads - but NOT in the way that you think.

NO. Not by a long shot.

NOT in the way that you think!!!!!!

Please, please Tez, don't complimnet yourself! You pretty much have totally missed the mark all the way around.

Do not delude yourself. Not now. Not ever. (You'll thank me later, I promise you....)

Tez.

Yea Give me a break too.

If we lived nomadic lives, lived off of berries, hunting etc. ( the land) and bartered with other tribes OR if we were in MONASTERIES, getting fed by worshippers, recieving doantions, not have to work or pay TAXES in the real world. Pass time praying, and tending the courtyard gardens, maybe your input here would have some bearing.

Live a charitable life serving "god"??

This is the real world. One I didn't create. A world that is all about ownership, fences, money.

All i want is my own little house and simple life. It's getting harder to do that. Or should i just submit to discomfort?

It's my attitude?

I feel pretty good being that i don't suport a culture that likes to Bomb innocent children for the sake of OIL and religious favourtism.

I think sagacious minds existed within pagan beleif. Not Buddhism or any other religion.

Now if it weren't for the damage and distruction done to Pagan culture, there may be more to debate. It's history was destroyed to the point that all we have are a few writings and archeological sites. They pale in comparison to Xtianity, Buddhism, Hinduism etc.

I guess it wasn't part of a patriarchal scheme? Like Buddhism?

((tBt))

I was thinking the exact SAME things about his post. But my life is so full of struggle right now, trying to make a dollar, my house with MAJOR repairs needed before winter and no money for them. Trying to make it so i'm not impoverished when I'm old, and leave something for my son. I should say WE, cause my partner is in it too.

POO POO that huh?

I guess i should just say "oh well, I can just foreclose, go to the foodbank, find a cheap, SHODDY rental, pray and feel enlightened"

I go out and work, but finding paying clients, dealing with very intense competition really takes a toll.

The well is drying up for people like me. Starting with a horse and cart so to speak.

I guess i should have a BIG glossy Truck, painted with adverts and my company name...or have at least $10,000 to invest in design programs so i can swing with the big boys?
( Hm all of that takes BIG bucks to get going and maintain)

I'm not a complete loser. I do get lots of referrels so I must be doing something right. SOME people remember and reward a good work ethic and job well done and don't get sucked oin by an expensive image.

Guess WHAT??

Hard work and constant effort doesn't fix things. Not when cost of living goes UP and the money you bring home goes DOWN.

Yea. I LOVE working 7-8 months of the year for the gov. and corps. Where's mine?

Things aren't as tough for the wealthy, or Gov workers.

Other than that I could break the law to survive. Like my neighbour ( who I am pretty sure is getting fraudulant credit cards and stiffs every small business he turns to) He's collecting WELFARE checks, AND is committing fraud. Just layering up his survival techniques without having to work!HA!

I could shoot the deer, or snare the rabbits in my backyard. But that could get me in jail. People will just think I'm crazy.

and WD

George Carlin WAS brilliant. Even though he was angry. I loved his Book "Brain Droppings".

I'll look into what you posted when i have time this weekend. ;0)

There's lots to be angry about.

Mainly the way we are OWNED and enslaved ( Beleive me I do find times of escape, peace and joy, but these are being eroded by my OWNERS) or the pontificating types, who have the means to put their head in the sand, watch all the following generations grovel around in this mess we call "modernity", and have the nerve to say

"Doubts and irresolutions vanish

and life in true faith is possible.

With a single stroke we are freed from bondage:

Nothing clings to us and we hold to nothing."

What's this? a piece that describes a Ghost? an intangible spirit?

Well these bodies of flesh and blood cry in Pain, get diseased, scream out joy, desire physical contact for HEALTHY REASONS and are on a physical plain that revolves around bodily functions NOT constant meditative states of mind.

The two have to be balanced.

truth- Thank goodness for dial up. As for me I do live in a very remote, isolated area. But, with my family. At first it was peaceful. But now it is about to drive me crazy. I have some acerage. At first I thought it would be so cool. Had my pony on my property. Then one day I realized it was nothing but a bunch of hard work. I CANT WAIT TO MOVE BACK TO CIVILIZATION.
