Who are they? What do they believe? why do they look like Christians, yet we as Christians do not consider them Christians?

They use the Bible as their book which the same book the we Christians use, yet they are not Christians. All I know about them is that they don't believe in celebrating birthdays, blood draw or donations, military service and war.

The pitfall of them is they are very logical people. I know someone who is belongs to Jeohovah witnesses who does not consider me as believer just cause I do not belong to his sect.

Unfortunately, he is not open-minded, so I will not argue or discuss matters with him hopefully any more.

Thank you for any contribution!

~Love, RAS~

Ah! Just knew it...Interesting about being percieved as "weird" people! I believe there may be some so-called people who have or do use this site as well?

But a perfect time to plug in what I have been thinking about. Why do right-winged Christians believe others are so weird? Or that Catholics are so far off base? Or that Catholic priests in the past have made anti-semintism remarks? Or Catholics believe they are the first and only true Christian faith and that Protestants are not? It goes on and on.

Perhaps there is only one G-d, God, Higher Power and we as humans have flaws and strive for the truth, only to lay blame on others as not having or seeing the truth as we see it?

But as far as vast differences in the Jehovah Witness faith, I think the main key to others seeing them as very different, is the fact that they do not have a main speaker, or minister to lead the group and the point about taking foriegn blood into their body. The rest is very similiar to the Christian faiths with a different slant on it.

Perhaps some of these mainstream religions are so opposed to others that are somewhat similiar, yet different is the threat they feel of the similiarities in striving to prove their own rightness?

Of course, this is written with my humble opinion as well.

Sew,

How are you sweetie, how is the hurricane. I hope you're not affected by it. How is kitty. Are you both safe and sound. I would love to hear your news? I pray all my cyber friends on this site who live in Florida are alright.

Dear, dear Ras,

You danced away from my post!

;-}

The beautiful name of Katrina linked to a storm has passed us by with little damage! I pray she does not get nastier and do much damage when she landfalls again to a category three on the eastern side of the state and run terror and havoc to the states above us!

Schotz is adorable as ever. She is right here trying to type on the keyboard, purring; for what reason, I do not know; attention, I guess!

Have made plans for her to be housed at the animal vet hospital in case of further storms while her mommy works at work or at the shelters!

She recovered nicely from the flee infestation after she lost a ton of her beautiful fur with an allergic reaction. Antibiotics did the trick and now her fur is growing back nicely. I was wondering WHY I had sooooo much fur to vacuum...then I found why and all is better and less fur to clean. I had not a cat for so long that I just thought they had shed alot of fur, even with brushing. So now housekeeping is easier in that department.

She came out well with her nail surgery. They removed her front claws with laser surgery, as she is an adult cat. It was real pricey, but, I decided she is part of my family and was worth it. Had to do it; her clawing was out of control; thank goodness the wallpaper she destroyed is going to be replaced anyhow. And, she doesn't mind her nails are gone. And, the behavior has stopped of trying to claw things.

So how is your little one doing? I wouldn't give mine up for anything...even though pets are not allowed here at the condos. Shhhh...keep it a secret!!! Only my best and trusted friends know about her...otherwise, she is hidden when others come to visit!

Rules, you gotta have them, but being a bit of the rebel that I am.... well, you understand?

Take care, sunshine friend,

~Sew~

I am delighited to know that you Sew and kitty are doing well!

My kitty has medium-length fur, I cut it by scissors. She really sheds a lot, that I have to pick up hairballs on daily basis. If I did not endear my kitty, I would have given her away long time ago.

I am glad to see you on this board after period of absence and to know that you and kitty are keeping well.

Hey Starkist,

Thank you for sharing with me about your journey. No, it was not someone knocking on my door luckily. It was acquaintance I came across and because he has kitty I wanted to see the kitty, so he invited me to his place. In this meeting which was lecture where he was speaker and I was listener. Even when I voiced my different opinions, I was not acknowledged and even considered as sinner. So, it was one-sided conversation where I was only listening but not listened to.

I have learned a good lesson which I will cherish for good - never waste time with someone who does not or is not open to the truth!

Anyone who does not believe that the LORD Jesus Christ is not the Son of God is not Christian. These people claim that Jesus is not the Son of God, that's why they do not celebrate Christmas and Easter.

I am thrilled that God has blessed you Star even if late. He can bless us at any time. It is never too late to be blessed by HIM.

Thank you again honey for your openness!

~Love, RAS~

((((starkist))))

You have suffered the ultimate rejection by having your family cast you off like that (reminds me of the song that asks, "Where's the truth, ya'll?")

I'm glad that you found this site, I know you will meet many caring folks here. I know that we can't replace your family, but many of us have also been rejected by family for various reasons and are here to listen.

You sound like a warm and caring person and mom. I pray that you find acceptance and unconditional love.

Grace & peace,

CM

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, although I am not as active as I should be. The reason Jehovah's Witnesses preach God's word door to door is in Matthew 24:3, 14 "This good news of the Kindom will be preached in all the inhabited earth" we are doing what God has commanded us to do.

But if you do not want anyone to come to your door again all you have to do is tell them to please remove your address from their mail list and not come to your home again and they should stop coming to your home.

Also Jehovah's Witnesses Know Jesus is the son of God.

Hi Bel,

Sorry honey, I hope I did not offend you. I think Jehovah Witnesses do not believe in the trinity, that's why they do not celebrate Christmas and Easter. That's what my acquaintance told me as far as I remember. I hope I'm not wrong.

Hello Ras, I was not offended in any way by you or any other person on this board. We are all entitled to our own opinions and beliefs and I respect that.
