you find yourself?
By that, I mean - that when you decide...even for a split second...to dismiss your own agenda - even for a mere second - that you find someone else, most likely a stranger - that can "put it all in perspective for you" - in ways..that you could not have otherwise imagined?????
(WARNING: This post challenges you to step out of your Comfort Zone...if only for a second)
Hmmmmmm!!!!!

Yes, I would like to know the deeper meaning also since the machine spazzed and well, did the machine have something to add to what I said? Is the machine becoming an independent entity that thinks for itself? Or, maybe the machine froze? the key stuck? the wind blew south instead of north? Please do enlighten us.

truth,
yes, I most certainly agree.
When I toss aside all expectations and all desires to have a certain expectation or results of an outcome, I usually get BETTER than expected.
Part of this is referencing our "admitting we are powerless" and letting go...when we do that, and allow whatever outcome to happen, most often I am not disappointed.
there's a song - thank god for unanswered prayers...I think that adresses this concept too.
I find that my higher power gives me EXACTLY what I need WHEN I need it and not a minute sooner.
The problems start when I thinjk I know what I need and when I need it and try to force that outcome.
And often, my "messages" regarding the situation often are spoken "thru" a third party or when I am in church or meetings. All I have to do is stop and listen and put aside all my own expectations.

On the 19-Nov-06 you said/asked:
"Yes, I would like to know the deeper meaning also since the machine spazzed and well, did the machine have something to add to what I said?"
The deeper meaning that I perceived was "Groundhog Day" revisited.
Perhaps there was a deeper consciousness trying to breakthrough. Perhaps that consciousness manifested through your finger holding down the Send Reply Key longer than necessary to submit once, without your awareness of doing so.
Perhaps it was an analogue for the ever repeating cycles of daily life that appear to be so repetitious yet are unique without us realizing it.

Rising, your comment reminded me of a paragraph in a book I have. "The Twelve Steps for Everyone who really wants them", from Hazelden. The book states...
"We must realize our fears are all about the future; we are worried about the results of our performance instead of concentrating our efforts on getting the best performance from ourselves we can today. This is often called in the Program "getting in the results department," and that is where we cannot afford to be. When we try to predict results or fear them, we are doing God's job. Our job is to do what we have to do today as best we can, and leave the results to our Higher Power. If we attempt to predict the outcome or manipulate events to obtain an outcome in our favor, we are taking our will back and rejecting the help of our Higher Power."
I think I needed to hear this again and to hear you sharing your story Rising. It helps to settle it into my psyche.
