On "Black Friday" in Long Island, NY?

The man was killed. Trampled to death.

What in the world is up with that?????

I still have a hard time trying to wrap my head around this one.

Was the low, low discounted price of some crap - some material things worth this??????

To trample over someone??????

Geesh - in comparison, I have seen some shots on TV from some folks actually starving to death in Africa....yet THEY wait patiently in line with their bowls for just the POSSIBILITY of a bowl of rice or beans etc... and they act more humanely than this bunch of greedly american folks and it makes me feel ashamed to be apart of such a soceity that would do this..........

An absolute atrocity!!!!!!!!!!!!

How ashamed (and brain-washed) should we be?????????

Where ARE OUR priorities????????

Incredible.

Absolutely.....incredible!!!!!!!

What in the hell is UP with this shit????????????

Truth

I have to agree with you. I just had a conversation about this today. It is crazy.

I find it sad. Because I dont know if you saw the lawsuit regarding this same wal mart. A man and his son are suing because they got some dings.

I dont think that any sale is worth it. A human life. Gone. I think they torn down the doors or at least broke them.

Sick.

Maybe the crowd was so big that the thing was just hard to stop once it started?

Walmart said they'd review their policies for these black friday lines.

When we had play out tickets for basketball we had a drawing. I think that is what they need to do for shopping. A lot of times there may only be 1 of the item 100 people want.

I dont know about your Wal marts, but the ones I have been to are crazy anyways. Add a bad economy and "good sales" and there you go for out of control.

Yea, its disgusting. Next year they'll probably have some crowd control kinda thing. People just get into the mob mentality and forget about responsibility.

I hope they can identify some of those people and punish them somehow because yes no matter what, they were responsible for the death collectively.

It makes me sick to think of. And THEN, after the police arrived and asked everyone to leave becuase it was now a crime scene., they continued to shop and refused to leave. My h. and I used to love to go out on black friday and zget bargains. It was fun because we didn't look for fancy stuff like the TV, just little stuff and it was an adventure to do together. Well, that news about the guard getting trampled and the two people getting shot at Toys R Us ruined it for me. I am never going out on Black Friday again. We've decided to do our shopping on line.

Onliine shopping is a ball. Ha. I see what I want, click and a few days later yay! LOL. but Amazon is addicting. I order a bit too much.

Black friday can be a good time. I went out last year and somewhat enjoyed being there at 11pm thanksgiving only to move stores about 3 times.

I think the economy played a big role in the madness. People are desperate. Sick, but desperate.

It is easier to shop around.

Getting stuff in the mail is awesome too. I send myself stuff all the time just so I know someone loves me. Ha. I wish I was kidding.

Death is an excitement killer. It just isnt worth it. I feel bad for those who died for something stupid.

People are just bad. And those who got mad because it became a crime scene.

I just send stuff for fun. Make me look important. Plus if I want something why not get it? I guess I dont trust what people get me either.

I did like going to black friday to get toys cheap for toys for tots. I wouldnt go to toys r us, but no name toy stores or other retail stores.

I find it stupid that the there is a father and son who are suing from the same store. People just want to cash in.

And somehow all of this will be Walmart's fault. We want the sales, we show up and crush some poor guy, and then any and everyone who can say they were pushed will sue Walmart. Why not sue each other? Walmart didn't ask people to act like animals.

Fed up with folks not taking responsibility,

Cary

People are greedy. They smell money a mile away. I mean come on people sued or attempted to sue Micky D's because they got fat.
