The
Bible states that Adam and Eve were meant to be stewards of the
Earth. Thus far their descendants have epically
failed...

Well... we're all miserable sinners. Doesn't the bible say
that, too?

What
guest_guest said about the earth:

its brown and full
of earth worms.

Now NO one
disagrees that this is a fact. The eve and adam story? Not so
much.

I got a better
alternative for the Bible: "The Universe in a Nutshell" (by Stephen
Hawkings). Oh yea, no funny verses in that book.

Having been brought up as Catholic, I can say that my take on
this whole Adam & Eve stuff (from a youngster's mindset) was
one that seemed to me at the time, to want to have been firmly
planted, from the getgo, dwelling deep and wide into some kind of
innate sense of shame simply for being human, you know?

(....and when you
think of it - what BETTER way to try and 'control the masses' then
to tap into this sense since like - day one?....right?)

Right? Am I
right?

I bought that mess
for a long, long time ~

Don't want to get
all preachy, preachy here - but my Comcast-On-Demand channel
affords me the opportunity to watch "Shalom TV" with Rabbi Mark
Golub.

I think that he is
part of the "Reform" Jewish Tradition/Movement.

One time, he had a
program (I can't remember which one) about this 'story' of Adam and
Eve and well basically, how all of these stories are NOT to be EVER
taken literally, but to be viewed and interpreted as mere poetry.
No more, no less.

Kind of like a
very wise Aesop fable of sorts, is my feeling ~

(Though I do
believe that he catches alot of slack from the strictly literal
interpreatations of the Orthodox & Conservatives
wings....)

His slant is that
eating from the 'forbidden' tree of life is not man's so-called
down-fall for the rest of humanity.....but that he understands it
to be related to one's own mortality....that you can never go back.
(Or something like that - sorry, it's been awhile since I saw this
particular program.)

But anyway.....all
I remember in watching that particular segment was.....YES. Yes.
Yes. Yes.

It IS poetry. It
talks of love and life on a very human and humane level with nary
an inkling into some kind of guilt trip or shame attached to
it.....at all.

I like, like, LOVE
his particular interpretation of this whole ordeal and perhaps one
of the traits that I admire so much about the Jewish
Tradition.....(to which I amy actually convert to someday....) is
not only that interpretation of this stuff is always up for
grabs....shoot, questions are actually encouraged!

Imagine
that!

(How about them
apples.....oh, pun soooooo intended 😉

So, like, you
know, as Forrest Gump would say....that's all I have to say about
THAT.

Peace!

Actually guest_guest, the earth is predominately bluish green
and filled with marine life. Brown and earth worms are in the
minority.

Actually andii, isn't most of the world below the surface crust
and mainly composed of iron, carbon, silicon, gases etc. Hence the
bluish green filled with marine life is really in the
minority.

Besides, GG is
God. I think I remember him proclaiming that in the past so, maybe
you shouldn't be questioning his wisdom. hehe

That's no more
unbelievable than the Bibles' absurd version of a vengeful,
invisible dude in the sky story. Further, gg hasn't asked anyone
here for their money. Why does the xtian god do so poorly with
money? It seems that there is never enough for him to make do
with.

Ha! I
was wondering if somebody would say that. I must stand corrected!
The SURFACE of the earth is primarily bluish green and filled with
marine life. I think I'm right on with that one.

What's absurd to
some is not absurd to others. Guest_Guest being God?
Absurd......but hey, one never knows!

Where in the Bible
does the Christian god ask for money? I know so in the the Old
Testament, but what about the New Testament? furthermore, I think
in the old testament, tithing was a way to save for neessities, you
put money into the church and if you need money or other items, the
church helps you out. I think they still go on that concept
today.

I remember a few
of your posts here regarding Christianity Craigco. I understand
it's not for you, and that's cool.

I was down in the
south and I saw the funniest thing on a church billboard. It
said

"honk if you love
Jesus, text or talk on your cell phone if you want to meet
Him"

That tickled
me!

>".., text or talk on your cell phone if you want to meet
Him"

What if the cell
in use has hands free capability? Conversely, would that apply to
non xtians talking on their cells? If so then I'll have to try
hookin up with the man seeing that he's merely a call
away.

You think god is
actually a dude, anyway? I mean really - is he sportin a dick &
pouch assembly? Kind of weird - no?

And 'No' I'm not
trying to goad you into a confrontaion andii. Just wonderin, ya
know? lol

"Thou art here for
a good time - not a long time".

If memory serves,
it says so in the Bible. It's somewhere in the back me
thinks.

An
official 'Hi G_G! How've you been anyway? Long time no hear. Did
you have to get official clearance from the site admin prior to
returning?

Yeah that Hawkins
is one clever mo-fo!

So, what's your
take on "the measurement problem" encountered in Quantum physics?
Different scientists measuring the same thing but each getting
different numbers than his peers who measure the same.
Demonstrating that each individual is getting different results
depending on what they are expecting. It suggests that their is a
direct corelation between the mind of the observer & what is
being observed on an mental energy level. A strong case for the
verification of the interconnectivity of all things. Boiling down
to pure light energy at the root of all things. Everything merely
vibrating at a different frequency?

andii, well by earth, I meant the dirt we dig up - soil. Earth
is too complicated to be lumped up as brown or blue, we know
that.

andii, you gotta
leave Christianity. Anne Rice did too. By the way, she said she's
leaving Christianity but she still believes in Jesus. Dont know
what thats about? I have no idea.

thanks Craig and
bevdee! I'll give you both 72 boxes of cereal.

Craig no I didnt
get any official welcome. SC told me how much she loved me and she
wants me back. We're married now. We got a little girl and a boy is
on the way! Well no, I'm just here. I was bored. Gotta comment on
the Bible threads. SC forgave me, looks like or knew she had bigger
things to worry about then the whopper god. All is good now I
guess.

I know nothing
about Quantum physics. I think these things are so specific that
they only apply to that small science specialty and not to life in
general. I guess I could say a proton goes around and round in a
circle and thats why we keep doing the same things in our lives day
in and day out, but there's no relation between the two.

But yea, I wish I
knew what quantum physics is. I'll leave it up to them. Everything
vibrating, you mean rocking back and forth oh yeaa. I need to find
a girl to study those certain principles. I'm trying.

>> It
suggests that their is a direct corelation between the mind of the
observer & what is being observed on an mental energy
level.

I guess we can
draw the parallel that yea, there is one universe and one world,
but everyone sees it differently.

reading these
posts filled with coke snorting, pouch talk, and the vibrating
universe is like wrapping up in a warm cyber Snuggie (the blanket

Yeah,
really ... let's just forget that there was a group of people
filing lawsuits (or claiming to) against this site to bring it, and
the SC down. Sure - let's move on. Maybe Paul Elam banned them
too?

Ahhh,
Mary....let's not tell Lolli what to do.

I have every right
to confront Bevdee and GG and Free....all of whom trashed this site
repeatedly on another site run by some bitter, misogynistic freak
they all attached themselves too instead of actually taking
responsibility for their own behavior here. Not to mention giving
said freak personal information about the members and owners of
this site to help him try to shut this site down.

So you know what
Mary? If you don't like it....ahhhh...too bad. Don't read
it.

Sorry, Lolli. You're right. I shouldn't have told you what to
do. I hate it when someone tells me to chill when I'm upset about
something. It feels condescending. I should have been more
sensitive. Please, accept my apology.

And
yes, Lolli, that is the elephant in the room.

What about all
that, guys? Can you help us understand?

I must say, I do
agree with Lolli on her depiction of Paul Elam.

So, best to
all.

Love,

Mary

Honestly! That's the million dollar question. Why would you
STILL want to be a part of a site that you attempted to legally
shut down? And at any cost?
