Okay, i will play...
I just bought a Red Line edition Saturn vue...the h makes fun of me with its' body kit....I love it....I just got to downsize after 3 minivans, finally........

I apparently don't take care of my face well after reading the other posts...just dove soap, but I do moisturize b4 makeup...I use beauti control base/lipstick and everything else, whatever is cheap...(eye shadow, mascara, etc.)

I color my hair and just rotate shampoos/conditioners according to what is new/on sale, etc. (I am still supporting 4 kids)

I am a bargain shopper, again have to with 4 kids...I love target, and any store that is not in a mall...

I love seafood and Mexican food...I don't care for fast food; think I have done those too much with the kids...but I can handle Subway and I do like those Arby market fresh sandwiches....

Hi GG,

I'm with you....I can't afford the fancy stuff so I use Dove soap (for sensative skin). I also use Neutrogena facial lotion (generic brand if they have it).

One thing I do without fail though, is wash my face before bed.

Coffee is my favorite drink, but when I have a soft-drink, it is Diet Coke.

I drive a white Oldsmobile Bonneville. It was bought out of necessity. If I could choose reasonably, I'd want some sort of VW. If I could choose unreasonably, I'm buying a Jag with the rest of you.

Skincare:

I'm a soap and water person. I don't use anything on my face, although I probably should use some sort of moisturizer as I am getting older.

My favorite cologne is Blue by Ralph Lauren, but I don't own any.

When eating fast-food, I usually choose McDonalds because it is the closest. But my favorite food to order in is Chinese

Well, now what about CHOCOLATE!!

I've only mentioned hot chocolate, but, every now and them I just love to have a Rollo bar, hmmm, not only chocolate but caramel. The best!!

For Christmas, See's candy, and I like candy canes. I remember reading a blurb a few years ago that people who eat a lot of peppermint candy canes during the holidays actually lose weight. I think it is something about the peppermint. Interesting.

omg, how could I forget my favorite, addictive product: DIET COKE....I drink way too many and need to drink more water...

Oh, my favorite cologne is Estee Lauder Beautiful...my all time favorite....

Not a big ice cream fan, prefer sherbet or frozen yogurt....

Sorry, ADD, can get my list together....

I'll play!!

Car: Toyota Highlander - Red

Haircare: Elasta QP because my hair LOVES moisture. Naturally curly.

Make-up: In the winter it's MAC but in the summer it's Bare Minerals.

Skin Care: Organics. My skin is so sensitive. If I used Vaseline I would look like I was 15 again for all the piimples I would have.

Body Care: Johnson & Johnson baby oil gel and Curel lotion for the winter mixed with any of my favorites from Bath and Body Works. I also use BBW's shower gels.

Fast Food: Rarely do it, but when I do it's usually Wendy's.

Softdrinks: Usually diet green tea from Lipton. When I have soda it's a root beer or a birch beer. I drink only a half gallon of water a day.

Clothes: I'm short so I buy at Old Navy and the Gap. For dressier stuff I do Talbotts Petites.

Shoes: Anything. My favorite thing is a pair of clogs I got at Payless Shoes. I also love stillettos. HEY, I'm short!!

Perfume: Haiku by Avon or Chanel No. 22. I also like Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist.

Chocoates: Lindt truffles when I can't get to my local bakery for them.

I like this thread! Thanks everyone for the input, and thanks to you especially garfield for thinking of it.

My hair is dry, fine, and kinda curly. I heat style once a week to save it. I'm using some kind of Loreal super conditioner right now that I got from the stylist. Shampoo of the moment...Rusk Calm.

Chocolate and Candy: I'm a Skittles and Starburst addict. But dark chocolate is also yummy.

Ice Cream: Ben and Jerry's Neopolitan Dynamite and Chunky Monkey.

Adult Beverage: I think the Central Coast Pinot Noir's are so good right now, and they're a great value. YOu can get a really good bottle for less than $20.

I wanted to mention mascara: I know a lot of people love the Great Lash--is it Maybelline? I SWEAR by Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara.

I have hideous fingernails, I am really hard on my hands. But I do get a pedi once a month.

I drive a green Ford Ranger- my personal truck (but also drive a Chevie S10 extended cab for work- company owned- all in all I drive the Chevie more because I have sites about 120 miles apart to cover every week). If I had more money I would get a Toyota Prius.

I drink a variety of juices (mostly store brands- sometimes get northland cranberry when it is on sale) mixed with sparkling water (usually either store brand or La Croix). I also drink a variety of tea- usually some flavor of Celestial Seasons or Tazo. Right now I am really into the Tazo Passion flavor and any of the berry varieties of Celestial Seasons. I drink it both hot and iced.

Fast Food: Taco Bell, Subway, Wendy's, Burger King, Leo's Drive In, Aziz... being a vegetarian, I don't have many other options. But there is also Whataburger, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Popeye's Chicken, Long John Silver and of course Taquerias owned by local families at every corner (living within walking distance of Mexico, Mexican food is easy to come by)

Skin care: Dr. Bonner's soap, ProActiv (for acne), Kiss My Face, Tom's Of Maine, Nature's Gate, Jason. They are all fairly pricey- so I go for whatever is on sale. If nothing is on sale then St. Ives.

Hair care: Paul Mitchell when I can afford it-- Willow Creek, Citre Shine, Freeman, Nature's Gate ect. when I can't.

I haven't worn make up in over a decade... perfume either- closest I come is lip balm and lotion.

Groceries: Sun Harvest, HEB and sometimes SuperWalmart

Other Stuff: PetsMart, Southwest Hay and Feed, Bararra's Hardware, Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart, Target, thrift stores of all kinds (I wear a uniform so no need for loads of clothes). I also get a lot of stuff online at places like veganstore.com, healthy-eating.com, amazon.com etc.

"Okay, I'm addicted to hot tea...love the more expensive stuff, but usually stick with plain old Lipton's."

Lipton's is the tea we drink everyday. I just love it. Its manufactured here in South Africa.

"Okay, i will play... I just bought a Red Line edition Saturn vue...the h makes fun of me with its' body kit....I love it....I just got to downsize after 3 minivans, finally........ "

Which company makes a Saturn?

Glad you enjoy your new car. Is your children out of the house now?

I think I am also addicted to Diet Coke.

I like the way you say this, If i could choose unreasonably....

And I see you also love Diet Coke.

So many people here replied that they love Bare Minerals make-up. I am going to google it and see if we also have it here. I battle to get affordable make-up that's of a reasonable quality.

Love

"I SWEAR by Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara."

What a name for a mascara. Its nice to get feedback on some products that I never thought of. Do not know if its available here, but believe me I will buy it if I see it. Will never forget the name, its just too unusual.

This sounds delicious.

" I also get a lot of stuff online at places like veganstore.com, healthy-eating.com, amazon.com etc. "

Interesting to note you shop online for food. I also sometimes do this, but I found that I cannot buy meat online.

Garfield,

This is a wonderful thread.

General Motors makes Saturns. I don't know if they are sold outside of the US and Europe. If you want to see them you can Google "Saturn Cars" and it should come up.

Bare Minerals has a website you can order from. I think their foundation is the best. It looks very natural.

Thanks Cyndra.

We have GM here, but they only sell the Opel Corsa, Astra, Zafira and Isuzu here. They also have Suzuki.
I am going to 'google' and see what this car looks like. Maybe its under another name here

Glad to hear Bare Minerals has a website. Will keep you posted on my progress.

Thanks for the info

Love

This is a fun thread- nothing heavy, so I'll play!

I drive a Chevy Suburban (kills me on gas) when carting the kids around and when it's just me and one or two kids I drive a BMW sedan.

I use Sothy's skin care and make-up products for my face, Goldwell for my hair, and handmade patchouli and cornmeal soap that I found in a little shop up in NH for my body- smells sooo good!

I love Coach handbags and sunglasses, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue perfume, Bath & Body Works Soothing Vanilla Milk from the Breath Comfort line. UGG boots, slippers and clogs, you name it, I wear it. The shearling has healing qualities and helps my feet feel better. I shop for cloths at Old Navy (jeans for short legs), Victoria Secret (undies and bras), and Gap for most everything else. I wear shearling coats during hockey season to keep warm.

I drink Dasani water with lemons all day long. My comfort drink is Nesquick low fat strawberry milk, and I like an occasional Sam Adams beer, or an apple martini. My favorite food is Italian, anything with red sauce, and veggies. I also LOVE cannoli's.
I don't do any fast foods, but if I did, I think I would try a whopper from Burger King!

I'm most always sporting a French manicure and get a pedicure once a month.

I shop at Trader Joe's, love Yankee Candles- (Festival of the Lights), William Sonoma- Almond and Ginger, and Pink Grapefruit Kitchen soaps and candles. And Barnes and Nobles- I love that book store!

Happy Holidays everyone,
Isis

I have created another thread on Happy Holidays and Sad Holidays. If you read it you will understand why I say

Have a Happy, sad, joyous, painful, delightful Christmas.

Let the feelings surface, good or bad. Lets honour ourselves and get rid of the past.

Today is the first day of the last day of the rest of my life.

Thanks to all who participated, I really enjoyed this thread.

Love and hugs to all

That pumpkin cheesecake in my fridge keeps looking at me everytime I open the fridge!!!! 🙂

Adventurist woman...hmmmm, maybe! I had a dream the other night that I was traveling, parked my jeep up on top of a very high mountain where I was, as I thought to myself, I'd better go back one more time and make sure everything is in its place...when I did, I looked up and the whole mountain cliff came tumbling down with my jeep on top of it....I can't quite figure out what it means....if anyone reads this, want to try?
