Guppy,

Yes, I'm a night owl tonight. Sad, isn't it? But that's what happens when you separated from your spouse and have decided not to date. You have no life.

It's good to have you chime in and leave absolutely no doubt about your gender. I guess you want to squelch all rumors that you might be otherwise. YOu're so proactive! :o)

So it's sounds official: free2choose is a gay female. free2, if we're wrong, this is your last chance to set the record straight -- or set it gay, as the case may be. :o)

On my mother's side, (who was adpoted, so not really sure yet) I am a quarter English and quarter Irish. Therefore, the redhair. My natural father was pure Finn; my brother boasts his blondness. We both have the rounded pug nose and Finnish eyes; beautiful people!

Currently, I am trying to recapture my heritage. My brother and I lived with our Finnish grandparents until I was 5, he at 4, then back to our mother. After that time, I was deprived of my last name and it wawas changed (taking on my step father's name) but able to keep my middle name of Eila.

Currently I am working at a hefty Finnish speaking population at a Finnish nursing home in a large area of Finns known as the "Florida Finns". I am trying to learn the language; one of the most difficut languages to learn! If all goes well, I will fufill a lifelong dream to go to Finland this summer and continue to work on my family geneology there.

All this has been a lifelong dream that I never knew how to put into action, nor had the information at hand to implement these ideas and dreams.

If one only knew the details how all this has come about, you would agree it was a prayer answered. If not, call it fate, but fate does not present miracles over and over like this has for me. IMHO, it was of my HP looking over me after all the years of suffering and struggling. Wow!!! I am happy and blessed.

Yes, I am back! PC problems, couldn't post but been reading, and basically took a hiatus from AAC for a bit. So you know me; long wind, full of ideas; no short posting. (tho' my time here will be limited on here; new personal rule for survival and happiness!) Glad to be back! As ever....

Seek --

How funny indeed, maybe it's my style too sweet! I know a couple of gay males in my neighborhood and they are quite sweet. I hope and pray Free2choose will clarify to us her/his gender. I enjoy reading his/her posts, s/he is such a smart, knowledgeable and open person and it would help us more to get to know him by knowing his/her gender.

Ready --

I'm partly Greek/Jewish, partly Irish, almost neighbors. Nice to find out how many of us can relate not just emotionally but also ethnically!

Sew --

Welcome back sweetie! We missed you so much. I used to know how to say "I love you in Finnish" by a Finnish guy. It was a loooooooooong funny phrase which I can't recall any more. If/when you know it, please let me/us know. It is a very peculiar unique language the Finn language. There is no other family that belongs to this language except for the Hungarian language.

Oh, we did this before, what fun!

I'm just copying and pasting what I wrote before,

My grandmother was slavic, my grandfather was German and English on my fathers side, Dad was born and raised in the midwest. My mothers mother was (is, I suppose) Irish and unknown (she was born of a steamy affair), and her father was Indian (blackfoot, not sure of it beyond that). My mother was born and raised in Oklahoma. Lots of alcoholism on that side. They where sort of the sort of people Jeff foxworthy makes fun of, big issues all over that side.
On my fathers side, he was one of the oldest of 9 children. My grandfather was serious and stern with a dry sense of humor, and my grandmother was very mean and abusive, I've heard even to the other Gradchildren. For some reason she was very kind to me though, I think I was an odd child and she liked that. Besides that, I don't beleive that her husband was all good and she was all tyrant, but her children all sort of did.

My father raised me and my brother, my half brother, my stepsister, my stepbrother, and a child of an ex girlfriend. We where very lower class, but he and my stepmother (an alcoholic and then a dry drunk) where hippies and always found a way to get by. We where raised to read everything, and apriciate all sorts of music, cinema, art, food..My father is a very smart man always eger to learn, but emotionally inaccesable...however, very funny.

I was born in Oklahoma, and spent nearly a year when I was 6 trying to drop the little accent I had, though in time it completely faded.

WOw, maybe that's more than you asked for? Well, with a breath of kindness...

Hi Ras,

good to see you around; still remaining sweet I see? (as ever)

Hiya Ready,

Yes, I can hear you!!! You sound goood as been reading your postings in Support.

Guess I better step on down there and post now that I've annouced my return (giggle).

Any Finns out there/here?

Finland; the Land of the Midnight Sun. If I am able to go in July, my friend says the sun sets at 2 AM only to a "twilight" and not completely dark, then sunrise 4 AM? I am still working on my insomnia; this could be hazardous!

Then the winter is dark all day.

HI guys....

Jeezzzzeee...I am like rolling around howling with laughter!!! Man it feels good to belly lauge like this!!!

Yall...straight (or gay, LOL) from the horses mouth,

I am a WOMAN. I am gloriously female, although I do kinda resemble a guy with the way I dress.... But really, where it counts, I am a Woman...in my heart, LOL.

OH, and my body too, because I guess that could add to the confusion, LOL. My tranny friend is very male in body but in her heart...woo hoo she is more woman than most!! LOL.

And yes, I am gay. A lesbian to be exact. So that might have been the confusrion. I aften refer to my self in a relationship with a woman so that might be where Ras got confused. I don't believe I have ever said I was a man though, but hearing about the woman partner, people just assume...

Any way, hope that clears up the confussion!!

I'm still laughing!!

(((HUGS to you all))))

Erica

Erica,

I was 99.9% sure you are a WOman.

I held my tongue because of that pesky, lingering .1%

Thanks for posting to end the the confusrion...I mean confussion....

LOL

Thanks for my belly laugh, too.

Just so that I'm clear, what exactly does tranny mean? Can't say that I've ever heard that expression before.

Tranny is like, slang or short for the word Transexual. Like a biological man who believes him/herself to be really a woman, or vice versa. You know, the people who often have sex changes. Male to female, or female to male. Short for that is MTF or FTM.

If you have no idea what this is, there are several things on TV right now. On the Sundance chanel there is a show called "Transgeneration" following the lives of 5 college age trans people, there is also many documentaries on the Discovery Health chanel, which also has a website. And I believe there is a new movie coming out soon staring Felicity Huffman (from Desperate Housewives) called TransAmerica.

Also all you have to do is go to Yahoo or google and put Transexual or FTM or MTF and you'll get lots of hits.

OK, just a little FYI!! 🙂

Hello All, I copied and pasted what I wrote before.

I am coming to the US...Manhattan to be exact, in december!! I CANNOT BLODDY WAIT! I am going to bring a huge suitcase and I'm going to fill it with so many pairs of sparkly shoes and bags and clothes and make-up that customs will think I'm trying to open an illegal boutique! ooohhh...so excited, I'll be the best dressed chick in Dublin all next year!!

I am Irish, I was born/raised and still live in Dublin, the capital city. My parents were also born here, but after that it gets a teeny bit more diverse! Sailing and the sea features heavily in my ancestory on both sides...as does foreign first wives who died young!! My fathers mother was a true-blue dub (That means you can't trace any relatives outside of dublin) she was the first woman in Dublin to own her own car! and her father owned but drank dry to pubs in dublin city centre. Dads father was from County Wexford but moved to County Waterford as a child, he was a twin and his mother was a mysterious character who hailed from the basque region of spain, apparently she was known in Waterford as the basque-witch, and there are some dodgy stories about her! She died young and her husband remarried. I'd say that because her husband my great-great grandfather was a sailor that he probably picked her up at one of his ports-of-call!!! On My mothers side, her father was from sea-faring stock on Dublin's east coast, although he was very artistic and made hand-painted silk-scarves for a living. My beloved Nana was born in Wicklow, again her mother was said to be foreign (Scandinavian we believe) her father was a sailor and she had no memory of her mother as she died so young. She was raised by her fathers 2nd wife a scottish woman called "Nan".

I rarely think of my foreign ancestors as being part of me, I consider myself to be just Irish...but, I do have darker skin than a typical freckly Irish cailin, I tan easily! still get some freckles on my nose in the summer though! And my blonde hair is probably from the scandinavian ancestor...great to see so many of you have Irish ancestors, I wonder are any of us related!!!

Free2,

I was actually 100% certain that you were female...until.....I was swayed by the masses, then I got confused.

Funny, I learned that in Social Psychology, how a group can change your opinion...interesting.

Um, everyone knew I was a girl, right? I think the breastfeeding thing tips people off.

Just went back and read all the stuff about the hungarians here--my step-grandmother was hungarian, and even as an older lady I knew she was absolutely beutiful (and for a 10 year old to think a senior is good looking, they must really be stunning!), and seh always made the best food--goulosh, keifling, Kolotch...I'm sure I am spelling it all wrong here, but I could never get the hang of it and she used to tell me that "your hands aren't hungarian enough". She didn't like my dad, and I think she was implying that I got bad genes from him, but seh and I got along so well. She forgot the language in her teens, but always had a hint of the accent, a very strong empowered sound to it.

No fault!

You've given me a first class education and I like it.

I enjoyed your energy...It's good when people are passionately informative about the things that matter to them.

A GREAT TESTIMONY OF LIFE

     i want to say
a very BIG thanks to Dr Keke Odin for helping me bring the prince of my
life back. i was so surprised on the 1st of January 2015, my boyfriend
whom i was engaged to and we were supposed to be married in March told
me he was no longer interested in the relationship. i felt cursed for my
long term relationship to just end up like that. My partner cut out all
contacts with me. i never knew that a friend had interest in my man and
she went as far contacting a spell caster for help to get him from me.
When i saw a testimony about Dr keke Odin the Chief Priest of all the
registered spell Caster worldwide, he told me everything and how the
other lady Contacted another spell caster. He told me not to worry that
in 48 hours, my situation will be sorted. i just had believe, trust and
faith in him that he will really do it for me. Lol and behold 48 hours
later, Williams called to say he was sorry and that it was the work of
the devil. now i am a happy. please i want to tell the whole world that
Dr Kek Odin the best spell caster and you can email him on [email protected]. His legit website is http//:greatkekespelltemple01.webs.com. once again his email address is [email protected]

Speaking of culture it looks like Fatma and her people have taken this site over with some obviously very poor results.
