Hey, WD! Fitting sheets aren´t always fitted for fitting them, you know.

At least you´re not trying to land an airplane sideways on an aistrip! And wondering why it´s sooo wide.

Hi Garfield,

"Have you ever tried discerning your own super-power and applying this to yourself?"

Yeah, that idea did occur to me.

One problem is, it's really hard for a person to really know themselves.

Other problem is, I don't think that everyone has a super-power.

Except for the thing I mentioned before, I don't think I do.

I've been wondering if I could use my power to my own benefit. You know, like to become obscenely wealthy and powerful or something?

It looks like the answer is yes. Sort of.

But then that brings me right back to my own twisted psychology.

I think it is the kind of power that only really works correctly in Service.

WD, I believe you´re right in that its very hard to apply our psychology to ourselves.

Giving someone a new perspective is like to tell them to untie their boat from the moorings at a whim. If someone did that to you, how would you feel?

I appreciate that folks are enjoying this little sci-fi what if, soon to be a made for TV movie.

I am forever fascinated by the themes of power vs responsibility, selfishness...how it all bumps into our individual sense of morality.

I think I will be studying the topic of morality for a long, long time.

WD,

Sounds like you have received a gift.

You said that at first, you were excited about it, then depressed.

Maybe you might want to consider meditating on the best way to use your gift and then just remain open and patient to the answers you receive as they present themselves.

That's probably how I would handle it, to answer your original title thread question.

Surely the source in which the gift originated from might also know of the best ways in which to use it.

WOW WD,

This is a great gift/ability that you have...helping people be their best selves and helping them to overcome thier fear before they realize they are fearful...at least this is how I have interpreted what you just explained.

I can see you talking to groups of people who are just starting a business, or groups of people who want to know how to do anything better than what they already know how to do!

On My Way,

Hey! Good to see you here!

Yeah - I think that you really honed into something here.

The thing about helping people to overcome their fear BEFORE they are fearful.

Know what flashed into my little brain?

A bumper sticker I saw once that said: "Nip it, Nip it, Nip it"

(Speaking of course, if you are old enough to remember the Andy Griffin show and Deputy Sheriff, Barney Fife.)

Nip it, nip it, nip it!!!!!!!!

😉

Oh wd, I wish you'd teach high school!

I know these raging hormonal kids aren't for everybody, but in my many years teaching I've found that all of them-

want desperately to be super...

want desperately to be free..

want desperately to fly....

and sadly, for some reason, almost none of them believe that they can.

free

I do not really get you on this one. Can you please explain a bit more.

Service - what do you mean here?

Hi Garfield,

Service is when you give of yourself to another.

Sometimes a person will offer themselves in service because, it's a social duty. Like if someone pays you to mow their lawn then you owe it to them to mow their lawn, or return their money.

Other times, a person might feel called to be In Service not because they feel the "owe it" to the people they are serving but because it is part of their calling--they "owe it" to themselves. They are "Called to Service."

WD

What if you had a 'super' power or two...but you have become afraid of it for you have scared too many people with it? Having a super power would be a great responsibility.

What if you were accused of making something 'happen'? Would this not create a dilemma within the person who had the power?

WD =

What if you could 'read' another persons mind? What if you could touch someone and know their past, present and future? What if you could do remote viewing? What if you saw things 'happening' but ofttimes never utter a word about it?

Would these be 'super powers'?

Red Blonde

I guess I have watched too much tv but what you described has been my greatest dream for years.....
When my ex made a fool of me several years ago I used to have fantasies about what you described.

I would get cold chills thinking about how I could put that asshole in his place by looking him dead in the eye and telling him what he was thinking.

When my ex first left....about 6 years ago I could not sleep more than 2 hours at a time...and that was on a good nite...I slept in a recliner for at least 3 years.

I sound like I am proud of that fact. LOL

When my kicked my ex out, I think that was the best sleep I had gotten since 2001 or 2002....Before that...I would stay up or fall asleep on my recliner or couch just because it was making me feel lonelier and lonelier going into the bedroom and sleeping next to him in MY bed. It is just that I didn't understand anything about N/charmer/abuser...He started to make me feel so unloved, so unattractive, so unwanted or undesirable....so everything negative...definitely not like a woman...more like his mother or roommate or an appliance.

Yes Yes Yes....I Understand part of that very well. I did not like sleeping next to my next because I felt so seperated from him altho I did not really understand it at the time.

I felt like his mother when he came to bed with me he was only paying the rent.

I don't think I have ever said that out loud before and I hated the feeling.

It took me a long time to really REALLY realize that it was just 'all about him' - there was nothing about me at all in the relationship. Frustrating to no end to feel like you have been made into a grown man's surrogate 'mother'.
