I am so happy for your 22 pound weight loss Lostinthismess. That is really awesome!! I just have to take things in small increments and not let the total number of pounds I want to lose overwhelm me. I walked again today and have done well on my eating. It was harder today because of different things, but I made some very good choices. I plan on weighing in each Wednesday morning on my scales. I don't want to do it more than once a week because it is just too much emotionally for me right now to see those numbers.

Thanks for your encouragement. It does help to go through this with others who are also struggling and trying to get healthier and feel better.

Love, TS

Hi everyone, I just want to say that, yes, I HAVE fallen off the wagon. In 2004 I lost 50+ lbs. Since around October of last yr I totally quit everything slowly. I quit eating good and slowly quit exercising ( I previously used hand weights and power walked/jogged). I got really depressed and I haven't been able to regain my motivation. What is wrong with me???

Anybody have any tips on how to get back on track. I'm lifeless and act as if I can eat anything I want. I know all the right things to do to lose, but I've been so low I just can't get back to the point of caring. Help??! Thanks -PH

All I can say is set your mind to it remember how good you felt thin. Do it for yourself! Get confident get up and make it happen! Only you can control yourself.

Poundingheart, I wanted to write a day or two ago but wasn't sure what to write. But Lostinthismess pretty much said what I was thinking. It has to be a choice. You have to wake up each day and decide that you are going to make healthy choices. Remember how good you felt when losing that 50lbs? Even just making healthy choices for a few days makes you feel so much better and more in control. You can do this. You just have to make that daily choice.

ugh, have to admit I am not losing since we started this thread. Could be that my body is in rejection of all of the different diets I have tried over this last year. Probably best to stick to grains veggies & fruit and meat once in awhile.

The best thing I can say is to be concious of what you eat. If you pay close attention you will find yourself eating less. Then as the weight drops off you will be soooo proud of yourself it will keep on going. Take it from me 23lbs in 8 weeks and still going strong!!!

Has anyone seen the "North Beach Diet" book?

It is a parody that purports to help people gain weight. Has recipes for batter-freid twinkies and so forth.

Yuck! twinkies are gross as it is. Wish i needed to "gain" weight instead of loose. Yes all through calorie counting and excersize.

Oatmeal and an orange for breakfast.

The mere fact that I actually ate breakfast, much less a healthy one makes me feel like I must be losing it...

Love,

Ren'ai
