MaC,
Try dipping your carrots in balsamic vinegar or franks hot sauce to spice it up a bit!

OK so I have been doing great seem to be really receptive to the diet and excersize. The proablem is....I am due for my period next week so my sweet tooth is in overdrive!! So far I have fought it off but I think I need more than coffee for breakfast to help sooth the cravings. I just can't seem to find any low cal breakfast foods. This morning I ate half a cup of cinnamon toast crunch dry just for the sweetness. Unfortunatly it was 86 cals!! which seems like a lot for such a little. Anyway suggestions are welcome!!

Also for those of you who can take them Trim Spa is fantastic! It really helps me A LOT I have more energy than I thought possiable and have been keeping my diet down to 1,000 or less cals a day and most days I don't feel hungry.I also have stopped eating after 7pm. Seems to help too!. Ok well that's all for now hope to hear from all of you soon! Good Luck!!!

ok well when it's all said and done I still lost 2 lbs so not a total loss. Went out to dinner last nite. I'd like to say it went well but not really true.As it turns out my hubby has decided that he will not kill himself however, He also said that he wants us to divorce. But only on paper. I don't even know if that makes anysence. needless to say I am a bit out of it today.

Lost, I am so sorry hon.

If he wants the divorce on paper then he should have the whole aspect and consequence of a divorce.

You hold your ground and don't take any crap off him. He's put you thru enough. Stand tall and make sure you are heard and get what you want.

I know this has to hurt. I am so sorry for your pain. Do keep talking to us here. You need an outlet.

I am hurting and confused as you can surely imagine. I still Love him sooo much it scares me. He says he thinks we should do it on paper and keep it a secret so that I can have the benifits of being single (like government aid and such.) But that it's not because he wants to find someone else or anything like that. He says he hopes we can get through all of this and get married again in about a year if it all works out. That would be cool cause we eloped the first time and could have a real weading. I just don't really know what to think about all this. I'll tell you he has been more loving the last 24hrs than he has in the last 6 months! I don't get it!!

Lost:

I'm sorry you don't get it. I'm do; but I'm hoping I don't. He's being so danged loving coz he wants something. You don't just drive away suicidal and come back w/ a revelation of divorcing your family and then remarrying in a year IF IF IF it all works out. I am sorry Lost. I'm not trying to be mean, but you need to open your eyes. Sane, rational folks do not act that way. Maybe he needs committed.

to get legally separated or divorced (paper) but remain together

some people say they are 'married' but don't need the 'paper' (making it legal) to prove it, or to prove their love for each other,

this would be a common law type of marriage

He doesn't want any family members to know about it. And we would continue to go on living together as we do now. He says it would be so that I can get financialy stble on my own where I have not worked for the duration of the marriage and have no education beyond High School. He thought there would be more opportunity for me if we were divorced. At least that's what he said anyway

Sounds like risky business to me, lost. A marriage is a contract, which is hard to break, or pretty messy. How do you divide things up while still living together? if you separate after the 'living together', you have lost all entiltlements that a marriage provides. Quite a self-serving, manipulative tactic, this idea of his.

Yesterday I exercised. Boy did I exercise...

It has been pouring rain here and finally yesterday the sun came out and it was about 65 degrees so a friend and I took our doggies out for a run. We went to this place called "Box Canyon" where there's some river--well, most of you would call it a creek but here in the desert we call it a river. Because of all the rain there were puddles and mudholes all over the place.

Well, me and my friend start walking down to one of the many river banks. Being 5'2", 240lbs, and a size 7 shoe--well that's a lot of pounds per square inch so it didn't take long for me to sink up to my knees in mud! Then, because of the suction, I couldn't get my foot out of one of the holes and I was wearing my FAVORITE pair of hiking boots--they are a hot pink pair of Timberland's--I shit you not! Hot Pink!!! I waited for months for them to go on sale from $120 to $40 before I got 'em.

So, there I am, stuck in the mud, and every time I try to pull one of my feet free it's making this sloppy wet farting noise and what does my friend do? Breaks out with a video camera!

I finally got free of that sink-hole, but when you have that many pounds on such small feet it is easy to sink so with pretty much every step I was at least ankle deep in the mud, my boots making that farting noise all the way!

Believe me when I say that was one of the hardest physical work-outs I've ever done. It was also one of the very most funnest!!!

Love to all,

Ren'ai

Just a suggestion here, you guys. It might be better to start a new thread with this stuff. This was a diet thread, and people may shy away from the diet issues with this matter at hand. Just trying to be respectful and being 'tidy'...Sew

OMW,
Be very cautious with Atkins and do your research before you decide to do it. It can cause a lot of proablems according to the american heart association, American Diabetic association and many others!! Please just be careful!!

Okay, I'm in!!! i weighed in this morning at 207 great big old large and in charge pounds. Gained about 30 in graduate school sitting in class for eighteen months after school and then going home and writing papers. I grew up with an alcoholic parent, so I have those issues, and now I have a substance abusing son. I am hoping (NO! DETERMINED!) that this awesome website will let me siphon off the frustration so that I won't binge eat when I'm frustrated with life and NOTHING feels good.
I thought the pink boots in the desert muck was a hoot! Great word picture.

I actually stayed on target for a day!!! That is awesome just to have turned it around. I was eating fried crap and sweets for the past week or so. lostinthismess, I am amazed at your strength to take care of yourself while you're undergoing real stress. You are strong!!!!!!!I'm going to weigh again early next week. I can't believe how much being accountable to STRANGERS on the internet can be. This is the best thing that has happened to me since I found a Butterfinger in my Bible several years ago. (I thought it was a message from God - it was giant-sized, too.)

I'll join in here. I weigh 118 kilo (whatever that is in pound - its a lot!). And I want to weigh ninetysomething end of this year. I like eating, though.

Hope that lots of exercise and veggies will help. And I started with getting my bycicle on the road again today (in spite of the snow it is fun).
