Dear Lost,

Congrats on your successes. You will inspire those around you by sharing your stories. Thank you!

OMW,

There really aren't a lot of complexities around a woman/woman split. Feelings are feelings. This doesn't feel any "different" to me than any break up I ever had with a man, it's just more intense because I honestly believed, more than I ever have, that this relationship was going to work out.

My bad...

To the rest of you chocolate craving die-hards:

How is it going?

Love to all,

Ren'ai

well here I am day 4 did have a bit of a slip last nite. I ate 1 snackewells devils food cookie around 8 pm.But i was in serious need of comfort. Anyway today is going well about to go do myworkout and wanted to say hi to everyone. I am so proud of myself for this I am doing it on my own for myself and that is something that, being a co-dependent, I haven't done in a long long time!

Ren'ai,
It is a horrible feeling when it feels as if it will work out then it does not, it is such a let down.
But one mistake I have made is holeing on fo rtoo long, thinking that ok, it didn't work out, I know this is the right person for me, I'll never love anyone else...so for a long while I have held onto the hope, and have placed so much energy into the hope that I was not facing reality...whcih is probably one reason I have gained all of this weight. And for me it is almost alot of spiritual recognition, don't know if this is true, but in "holding on" for so long, I actually hung on to things that made me gain weight as well. So in talking to PL yesterday, I realized that I had to let go some more, so afraid that it all depended on me to "save" what had been gone for a year, as I hoped and hoped. And today, I start my walking exercise program. I wish I could run like I used to, but alas the old body will have to build up to that again. Hugs to you, just hang in there.

I have a quick easy recipe to share. I had to leave in 15 minutes last night and hubby was hungry and into the no carb thing. So grabbed from the fridge.

1 chicken breast already cooked;
1T butter;
some pepper slices;
some celery slices;
chicken bouillion;
ginger;
flour;
water;

slice chicken breast in half top and bottom wise. (i'm not a chef. lol)
Put bottom piece in baking pan.

Saute pepper and celery slices in butter and then put on bottom piece of chicken.

Mix 1 cupish water w/ some chicken bouillion, whatever tastes good to you, few shakes of ginger and spoonful of flour. Mix and put in the pan w/ the leftover butter. Boil till thickens.

Pour half over the vege slices and bottom chicken piece, put top on chicken and pour rest on that, pepper.

Put under broil till starts to brown or 450 till hot thru.

Would you believe it actually looked good and was colorful. He liked it.

just as an update I thought you all should know I am doing well with my excersise and haven't had more than 1200 callories any day this week. I am so proud of myself for that.

On a less than pleasant note. I think I have figgured out what my hubby's proablem is. After doing some research I have found he has many many symptoms of bipolar. Unfortunatly I also think he may be at a point where he is beyond help. He talk s al ot about dying and "when he is gone". I am very depressed and I don't know what to do to help him. Please offer any advice!

My diet attempt today--I ate a banana for breakfast. I usually don't eat anything until I get off from work which is why my metabolism is all fucked up...

lost, hooray for you , you are doing so good. I didn't walk to day, got home too late, but I will be doing 2 miles tomorrow am!! RE: your hubby, won't he go see apsychiatrist, can you print some material for him to read about bipolar? Can you call a crisis hotline? Bipolar not treated can lead to deep depression, and it sounds like he is there. Do you belong to a church, does he have a close friend that he will listen too, if so call him and let him know you need some help with convincing your husband to get some treatment. Another thing is Co-enzyme Q10..it helps with moods, but is is an anti-oxidant. My older son takes it for bipolar because he will not take the meds. I hope he can find some help, and fast.

n'ai, n'ai...hooray for you...did you eat anything besides a bananna today? Did you know that by not eatng, our body thinks it is starving and it makes more fat cells to protect itself? For the longest time I wondered why I hadn't lost weight as I barely ate anyting...my body was hugging the fat cells and making more...how weird is that? Eat every 2 1/2 hrs. more protein, or a protein and a carb...5 small meals a day.

Thanks OMW I am trying as hard as I can to get him to go but he refuses to admit that meds will help. Anyway I have been really down and he left tonight to go hang out with a bunch of single guys and god only knows who else and what will go on there. Why is my life so messed up? Sometimes I think it's all cause I am fat if I could just loose weight then I wouldn't have so many proablems!! That is a big part of why I am doing this diet. Think I can find myself under all this fat? I hope so

Lost,

WAY TO GO GIRL! Whoo Hoo - 7 lbs.

Even better your hubby going to see a doc. That's great. I know the struggle to get him to go was a long hard one. Things will be so much better once he gets his illness under control.

Congrats on both victories!

I am not dieting, but I did start a fast today for Lent. It's the first time I've ever tried fasting. How are you supposed to know if you're doing this right? LOL. I'm using SlimFast, and using my lunch hours to do a 40-day study of The Purpose Driven Life. If anyone wants to join me, perhaps we could open a new thread for that too.

Love in Him,
jill

Sweet Amanda, I wish my stomach would fall off!! Everything goes there. If I could magically re-arrange my body...I would take the fat from my stomach and place it in each boob!!

just to let you all know I am still doing well on my diet. My hubby and I went to the pshycologist, however he seems to think my hubby suffers more form a rare form of O C D. After doing my research I am still convinced it is BiPolar. Not too sure what to do about it but we are going to continue seeing the Dr once a week. Anyway how are you all doing? Anyone Lost any weight yet?? Tell me tell me!! lol I hope you are all doing well!

no, have not lost a pound. it takes me a couple of weeks to even see improvement, and i am fatter than i have ever been in my entire life.
lost, glad you all are seeing a doc finally. I would think though that O C D would cause extreme depression, because if you think about it, it too is like a roller coaster, thre is no middle ground at all...almost like blac and white..very hard to live that way.

Keep upi your weight loss..good for you!!! Hey want happened to Ren'ai?

Jas,

A friend and I just started the Purpose Driven Life. It is a great book. If you'd like to share thoughts I think that would be great. We are only on day 2. Just started.

I am still in search of a diet that works all the way around for me and hubby. But must be insulin resistant type diet. Otherwise, have just been watching what I eat. Some good days, some bad. I do like the baby carrots. Good for snackers.

Later ya'll,
