Hope all is well.

I saw this thread & must say you are in my thoughts & prayers too.

Remember to pack an extra oar or two when traveling the currents of life. Life preservers are also a must have.
Here's a pack of Life Savers - just to help keep life sweet.

WD,

Thought maybe you were on vacation?
It is great to see you around, as usual.

You have my support, good thoughts and prayers for whatever you are dealing with. I am always here for you, okay?

I have come to the conclusion, that once we have dealt with and come past the ugliness of why and how we got here, (AAC and past abuse), that all else that comes along, we can deal with and can get thru it well. You are stronger than you realize. You, I, all of us here are not only survivors, we are successors!!!

Please share some jokes with us, will ya?

Sew

Just a question, WD; are we all rowing upstream or downstream?

Or the Rapids? Now that can be quite an eventful ride!!!

I have my life jacket on, as always.

Does anyone remeber the Far Side cartoon that show a burning building floating down a river towards a waterfall? The sign on the bulding says "Crisis Clinic."

Great one, WD...pulling the staps of my life jacket a bit snugger here.

I always thought going over Niagra Falls would be fun....if it were not for the rocks and boulders below. Will remain as a viewing tourist, thank you.

WD...seriously, jokes set aside...
you have no safe place, and what you had is falling away? Are you really in a crisis?

Well, WD,
Without you even being present, we have you in a crisis, in a boat, Sew is steering and I am part of the row team...and Niagra Falls is just in sight, and we almost have this solved between the two of us without even getting a post from you!!

I just find this hysterical...Sew...we still need to work on our codependent issues!! LOL!!

WD, seriously though, thought this might make you chuckle...hope all is well. Oh, and Sew hopes the same!!

Seriously, hope all is well, if not, will climb on board again......attention, hear ye hear ye, calling all mateys....

Ya big knuckleheads! Gotta love you.

I stop posting for two days and everyone assumes...something.

The "weaving with currents" phrase was intended to let you know that I was dealing with the normal "currents of the stream of life" not in any particular trouble."

Then life preservers were mentioned and that reminded me of the immortal genius of the cartoonist whatsisname
Larsen.

Anyway, I have a couple of "serious" posts in me for other threads.

It really is nice though to hear that people miss me. And I hope that one of the things that makes me valuable is my sense of humor, even though it does get me into all sorts of trouble.

Geez, this thread turned out so hilarious, I had to walk away laughing before being able to post. But, I had thought maybe that is what you meant, but then again, we got carried away.

This reminds me of the Peanuts cartoon. Imagine us all strung together in cartoon format with our posts above each of us, all trying to capture Charlie Brown's attention!

Ah, WD, your humour and phrases do cause a ruckus, how could we not love ya, guy!

I think I hear the fog horn of the lighthouse calling us in....

WD

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, remember?

You duck out for a few days & get us sentimental ladies wondering if you are ok.

🙂 Makes me smile a little smile as I think to myself.... somehow men just know how to 'leave them wanting more'. Must be some kind of magic certain men possess to capture our thoughts in such a manner.

HA - sharing a *weird* funny that happened yesterday just b/c its still in my thoughts .... I was paid a 'compliment' of sorts which my over-analytical brain in musing & mulling over (soooo female I guess). I was told by a male acquaintance thru work that I would be his perfect girlfriend - he's too busy to have a lot of time/attention for a lady & I'm married so time would be limited for both of us & no demands made, no commitments either. I sat in stunned awe for a moment... (yes this man & I chat, but nothing flirtatious) ... and then, lo & behold, I started to laugh a little - there is no way this man could have spoken with my spouse! Egads.... do I attract busy men who have very little time? and what does that mean? (eek) It's nice to be considered 'perfect' in some way, but what a way this was! Still shaking my head. Never thought a man would say that kind of thing to me, even in jest (well, not under the age of 50 at least).

Going for minor surgery tomorrow to hopefully get rid of these awful headaches of mine. Don't know if I'll be MIA for a couple days or not. Wish me well.

Whether I'm here or not, you are in my thoughts. Hopefully the supportive & caring thoughts I send make it your way across the country & help some.

J

Thank you ladies for your well wishes...

I feel as though someone has socked me one right in between my eyes (sinus surgery). Am supposed to go back to work tomorrow, but quite honestly, sitting up or standing up too long makes me feel sick/dizzy. (The humidity isn't helping much either.)

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Haven't had it in me. I've posted a couple places, but very limited.

Wishing you ladies well... (and all who read this)

Juanita
