From Convocation, a Church and Ministry, which employs the pastoral counselors who malpracticed me practically to death.

After more than a dozen essays by me, more than 59,000 words of Grievances, Petitions, and staff performance evaluations, I have received two very respectful letters from the organization indicating that they are taking me seriously, and that a system wide re-evaluation and re-organization is taking place.

I have some hope.

Zinnie, if you have any desire to express to them that they ought to perform evaluations of abusive persons before writing ill-informed letters with potentially disastrous consequences, go for it. They are getting it from all sides now, and it is good for them.

I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or throw up.

(((((WD)))))
I'll hand you some Kleenex for your tears, laugh withyou and rub your back while you throw up. And unless you have long hair, I wont hold it back for you while ya' purge, but, I always found that a true sign of friendship when a friend did that for me when I Puked...
Just glad to hear of your news.

Hoorah, WD!

Was it a minor cult or sect, I wonder, rather than a mainstream one? Perhaps a big one, like the Mormons or Scientologists, who hold much wealth & therefore secular power? I wonder how they could get away for so long with being unregulated & not subject to regular professional checks & peer-reviews?

Like the rich & powerful RC Church, which until recently was considered above criticism and self-regulating in many countries worldwide ..... and within which SO many thousands of horrendous abuses of the weak, the poor, the powerless & innocent, helpless CHILDREN took place - undetected & unbelieved for so long. A whole litany of abuses - physical, mental, spiritual, emotional & sexual. From priests & nuns who posed as HELPING them, whilst enjoying sadistic self-gratification & control-freakery that scarred so many thousands of lives for ever. And it's STILL HAPPENING! Shame on them! I feel sick with anger.

(Esp. as an ex-Catholic & ex-Christian myself, I feel guilty & tarnished by proxy for having innocently & idealistically BELIEVED in their hypocrisy & official cover-ups for so long! Still suffering from horribly painful disillusionment with all big powerful organisations. Esp. "religions", which feed on our deepest, most sincere yearnings. Eugh. )

Anyway - hearty congrats on work well done, WD!

Blessings for your personal healing & good work helping save & protect others - gazelle.

WD -

I am glad for you. So much of your time and effort, and they finally are responding and taking action. Long overdo, but you have action taking place.

You have an offer already to have your back rubbed while purging, so I'll hold your hair back & put a cool compress on your neck... Glass of cool water ready for you, too.

Laugh, cry, do what you feel, and remember to most importantly... breathe ... long deep breaths.

Your many friends and supporters are cheering you on.

WD,

Sent a pretty detailed and on some level heated letter - however, this is my son and his family we are talking about, so I feel that some heat was O.K.

Well, Zin, considering how flabbergasteringly stupid and irresponsible their behavior has been, I say they need to hear it. I appreciate every additional voice that tries to pierce their excluding reality.

God knows I have given them many serious pieces of my mind. And if they don't take some serious steps here momentarily, they are going to hear from the State and a lot of other folks, too. Wish I could show you the picket signs.

Hey, did I just invent a new adverb?

Actually, Zinnie, I very much appreciate you writing and I thank you. I am even glad that you expressed some feelings, some "heat."

My tone has been all over the place with them. I've tried soft and tenative; scholarly and respectful;technical and clinical;and just plain pissed off.

It did not help my peace of mind that their response to my first petition was basically: "Our staff would never do anything like collude with an abusive person and you are mean and crazy to even suggest that they would."

So thanks, Zin.

WD,

Perhaps through the SC and if I edit out the names, you can read what I wrote.

It is "heated" - but still logical (or I think so), but, yes, that was the reply that I rec'd as well. To which I wrote ANOTHER letter and said that if actions were not taken, I would be sending a copy to the local newspaper.

Oh, by the way? The web site you sent me? There is a GE Community not far from here (where we live in North Texas) - remember the wardens's wife who was found here in Texas living with the escaped prisioner from Oklahoma? Guess WHERE they were living? Yep... right there!

Zin,

Ummm, NFW!!! In Texas?! NFW! Texans are too square to fall for that new age gobbletyspook, I thought.

Same title? Any website or materials? Same...philosphy?

Jeez how far is this thing spreading?

The same name?

Anyway, yeah I'd say edit out Identifiers...I am curious what you said...heck I'm curious what you think about what I said...

Actually I am curious what Ms Holyshrink had to say to justify stalker babe's vendetta..I mean, come one, psychiatrically? There's no way to justify it that I can think of....

Please tell us what cult or sect you are talking about. I would appreciate a warning from you 2 who seem to have suffered from their practices.

Is it scientology? Or Mormons? It must be v big, powerful & influential to be able to avoid peer reviews by state-qualified psychologists / psychiatrists ...

Actually, gazelle they are quite a small outfit and stay below the radar.

Its a good question, though, does anonymity count for cults?

I'll give you a clue though. Whenever you see a therapist, ask to see their professional license and write down the number and expiration date--then you can check up on them on the state database.

Zinnie, question,

Call me paranoid...

Are you really sure that the woman we are speaking of is really the same one that wrote the letter RE stalkerbabe? Could there be another woman same name? Could it be mistaken identity? Although I doubt there could be another woman with the same name associated with another community that happens to have the same name.

Hey WD,

Just got in tonight, and trying to catch up on correspondence when I read this. Somehow I doubt that there are two screw balls of the same name with the same methods.

I'll be home through the weekend, so I will be sure to get back to you. But, the deal here in Texas was directly from the web site you posted. Yes, MOST Texans are too conservative for that type of stuff, which is why they are considered a "secluded" community. Oh, another thing? Where they are located is where some of the largest meth labs have been busted.

More food for thought.

Talk to you soon.

Z.

Wishing you well.

gazelle,

When you mentioned the "RC church" were you thinking of "Reevaluation counseling," sometimes called the "Co-Counseling" community?

That one has been pinged as a psychotherapy cult, which stung a couple of my friends--they were actually based out of my home town I guess.

Psychotherapy cults are my pet peeve.

No, WD - I've never heard of those ones. I meant the Roman Catholic church, which I belonged to for decades 🙁

But, since I & many of us here are seeking help both psychological & spiritual, we would really appreciate your warning us about the particular cult you got involved with that caused you so much trouble & grief. I keep reading many posts from you criticising some sect or community, but what help without ever being told which one?

I would really appreciate it if you told us, so we could be warned. Whoever they are, they do sound unprofessional, unpleasant & dangerous. Please tell - unless you swore some oath of secrecy or still feel you owe them some loyalty despite all.

Blessings - gazelle.

gazelle,

My caveat is that it is basically a group of decent people who have created a monster--something that has indiced distorted perceptions, cognition and emotions.

They don't mean to be evil, and if you can refrain from using there counseling services and avoid becoming part of their leadership structure, there is actually some good philosophy there. It's just that their counselors do not realize how little they know.

Thanks, WD. From the website, I agree, it does look promising. And not totally dissimilar to some of the ideals of my Druid Community Camps: Acceptance. Dignity. Responsibility. Belonging & Connectedness.

After seeing the isolation, individualistic self-protection & greed and general emptiness, loneliness & dysfuncionality of "normal" fragmented "society", I can see the pull of mutually-responsible, wholistic, more "tribal" ways of living. Mental illness & existential Angst were unknown. We have much to learn from the societies from which we evolved into this materialistic, competitive, lonely & sterile modern mess.

I admire you for trying it out too. Best wishes. Blessings - gazelle.

Hey Zinnie,

I am drawing a blank on the web looking for information about the community in Texas--do they have a website, or publications?

I'm also curious, when you wrote to the organzation--did you enclose a copy of their letter to the court, or reference it in a way that was identifiable? Did they deny writing a letter to the court at all?

WD
