I'm kind of doing a study on Jesus' emotions. I know of his being angry, sad, afraid, frustrated. I'm looking for when he expressed joy or happiness.

LOL. It's a personal study. I'm thinking of writing a book, actually, on "Balancing Life's Demands." It would be a Christ-centered book. I was so touched by a message I heard this week on the subject. But the first area I'm looking at balancing is EMOTIONS. And my plan of action is to go through the gospels looking for all of Jesus' mentioned emotions.

Hi jastypes,

I just googled "emotions of jesus" and came up with some interesting finds - particularily an excerpt from a book written by Joyce Meyers.

FYI.

I was gonna get back to you on this tonight after I unpacked a few boxes and found my study books, but this info TBT found is great. I'm gonna have to get the book;looks intriguing. I'm a fan of Joyce Meyers anyway. Love her work.

Thanks TBT and to you Jastypes for bringing up the subject.

Jastypes... by the way,,, how are you doing? Haven't asked you in awhile.

Have a great day ladies

Thanks for asking, Mama. Just for today, I am okay. I am working on balancing (go figure) my life. It's been out of balance lately, with a LOT of emphasis on work. That keeps me busy and distracted, but not balanced and content. Know what I mean? But today I am at peace and I have what I need.

Jesus was happy...why would he not be.?
He had a heavy load but he had a purpose and he knew that he was going to be with GOD and he was helping us...C'mon.
There was no way Jesus was depressed, or any other negitive emotions..He may have gotten frustrated with Judas...and who wouldn't.That is the craziest question..of course he was happy, joyful and loving and ever knowing and healing--He is Jesus...
I have also seen Joyce meyer's 2 weeks ago and I attened Joel Olsteens
Ministres and I met Dodie last night and I am healed in the blood of Jesus and I believe he has got to have some good--happy blood to heal the sick- I have endometrisis and was hurting I walked out of there no more cramps and I think this is a silly question..If I was Jesus I'd be happy....Not a very hard guess

Hi,
yep I would say that He was happy and totally comfortable with who He was when He walked the earth. And He knew His purpose, and what He had to do and the time He had to do it in. But in the Garden of Gethsame, he wept...remember?...not happy then, but knew the joy that would come. Even as a believer, even when the unpleasant comes...there is always purpose...always.

Joel Osteen is awesome! And yes I beleive in healing through the Holy Spirit!

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Where was Jesus during the time when as a young lad he was lost in the temple and when he 'came out' into his public ministry?? Why is there such a big gap in the bible in this regard? Did Constantine and his puppet bishops think the inclusion of this huge part of Jesus's adult life in the Bible inappropriate? If so why?

Some say Jesus was wandering in India learning from the Jain rishis, the Buddhist monks and the Hindi sadus. Is this why mention of these years was avoided?

Is Christianity just a hybridized sect of Judaism, Buddhism, and Hinduism? After all early Christians believed in reincarnation. Is Judaism the trunk and Islam and Christianity the branches of the same tree? And can the trunk and other branches somehow be invalidated by just one branch?

I find these questions of more interest than whether Jesus was happy or not.

I dont believe in Jesus so I think when it was being mentioned that "God was angry", I take that Jesus was angry or he tried to scare people (which would be deception). I really dont know what went on - whether Jesus deceived people, or whether people took something that he didnt really say and make him into a god. Maybe not the latter.

All from Genesis:

God is angry. He decides to destroy all humans, beasts, creeping things, fowls, and "all flesh wherein there is breath of life." He plans to drown them all. 6:7, 17

God threatens to kill Abimelech and his people for believing Abe's lie. 20:3-7

All this from the Skeptics site. Actually you could do Google searches like: Jesus happy, Jesus angry and you'll get more stuff that you're looking for.
