Today, I am watch the United Nations Security Council Briefing on CNN about the weapons report.

It affects us all.
Does anyone care to share with me how they feel about this.

I watched my American President address my country last night. I was wondering why it has taken so long to address the terrorists who bombed our Pentagon and World Trade Centers. Is it cause we haven't been able to prove without a doubt who was involved? I don't know the answer to this but am hoping that our President does.

I have heard that oil is the reason for this pending war?

I have heard it is because our president is arrogant.

I don't really know.

Hi MJ,

Haven't been around past few days. Just cruising the site here. Scarey stuff huh?!

I go back and forth on this issue. I can really see the arguement when Powell presents it. Iraq has had 12 years to disarm, they are not cooperating fully and completely. How difficult is it to produce documents the biological and chemical weapons were destroyed? I would think that is something to keep track of, right?

But listening to France's Foreign Minister, he has a compelling arguement to. I mean, war in the middle east (or anywhere for that matter) is going to cause a lot of suffering. It may also have consequences in countries around Iraq. And who knows what it will do to our relationship with allies.

Bush does appear to be over zealous about this whole thing. Seems like he is full steam ahead, who cares what anyone thinks. No compromises.

I cannot agree with the oil arguement though. I think the whole world will be out for the US if we make even the slightest move for Iraq's oil. I may be naive...but I do believe that the principles behind our government's decision on this is based on democratic ideals and to wipe out terrorism. I don't see how the US could touch any oil without serious consequenses. So I disagree with that argument.

Scarey world we live in. I am very grateful to be living in the US though.

Hello MJ and Oneday,
It is scary to know we may be at war soon and that were standing alone for the most part.

I dont even know what to tell my grandchildren when they ask me questions about it.

Its sad that the United States has always been there to help other countries when help was needed and now no one wants to step in and help us. I really can't blame them because who does want to go to war with the nuclear weapons???

Hi Gals,
Thank you for your input.

I guess we will find out more by the 17th.

I want to support our President. Even if I didn't vote for him 🙂

I know that they must have information on the terrorists that they can't reveal because of strategies they are hoping to utilize so I am going on blind trust myself.

I am thankful to be an American. I am glad that we have freedom of speech and all our wonderful freedoms.
