Mary I don't get it, Destiny didn't say anything to me that upset me at all... I must have completely missed something here... Destiny has always been kind to me, and I don't see what the problem is here at all... sorry for what?

Healing and Peace,

My remark wasn't about Destiny getting along with you, H & P. Destiny has slammed me 2 or 3 times on the Jesus thread. Bitsy advised her to stop, but she continues.

A year, or two years ago, something like that, after Destiny had goaded me and others over a period of time, I finally gave her a taste of her medicine. Many posters joined in to express their disapproval of Destiny, and she left the boards for a while.

Seems she still carries resentment about it and needs to strike out.

Mary,

I'm sorry about the disagreement that might be going on between you and Destiny. I've enjoyed reading your threads, I've enjoyed reading Destiny's threads. I certainly don't want to be involved in any personal attacks on anyone, everyone on the board pretty much seems to be kind at heart.

I try to look at everyone on this board as individuals with individual needs which brought them here to begin with, meaning we all came to this board most likely out of some sort of pain or for support while going through a rough time, some just have questions to reassure themselves that they are not alone, some just ask to talk to others. So this is how I try to see everyone on here.

I've seen over and over again where someone post something and someone takes it personally, but it shouldn't be that way really. We can look at what someone writes and let it go, we don't have to feel hurt or angry by what others feel, believe or write.

I like you, you seem to be a kind person, and I like talking to Destiny as well, she seems to be a kind person. So what I'm trying to say is sometimes we allow hurt feelings get the best of us, and we don't have to. We can start fresh and let go of past things stated, and we can grow from our past, we can learn from how we as individuals react towards others.

I know Destiny has had a rough time with her daughter, any mother that has had to deal with a child on drugs hurts, even when they are adult children, so her heart hurts, and I know you can understand this.. I don't know what brought you here originally but if it was because of some sort of pain you were feeling then you can understand how sometimes we take offense to what others say and we don't have to at all. When people are going through "things" we can get real touchy and react without really thinking just because we haven't learned how to deal with our feelings.

I hope that you and Destiny can work things out, but if you can't then you can't... However, everyone hurts sometimes and everyone says things they may regret so it is just easier to let it go then to keep it going. I think some people are better at respectfully disagreeing with a subject then others but again that's because some people take it personally. I truly try to take nothing that someone says personally, and if I do then I try to let it go.

This has helped me a lot, and I've grown a lot through adversity... I hope you know I'm not atacking you, nor agreeing or disgreeing with anything, just my feelings on what I am seeing from the outside of this relatively minor dispute.

I can only see it as a minor dispute because I feel life is too short to let the little things get to us, when they're are such bigger problems out there in this world. I'm not implying that I am a better person then anyone else, I just can't see this as a big heart aching problem and I would bet that you could offer support to Destiny and she could to you if you two let go of whatever has been posted in the past. I kind of feel that Christians have been attacked on this board numerous times but I don't take it personally so I feel others can do the same.

(((Lot's of Hugs to you))) from one AAC friend to another!

Respectfully and kindly Healing and Peace

Healing and Peace- I stand up to bullies and Christen bashing is bullying. Most sites dont allow bashing people based on
religion, race, color, creed, national origin or sexual preference. If someone is looking for trouble with people based on bashing Christens they will usually find it. I agree with the comments you have made about Christens being attacked here numerous times. When people attack Christens then get attacked back they have no right to cry "poor me". The restraining order I got was based on discrimination the judge told the opposing party hell no not on his watch and the police told the opposing party if they are caught they will arrest them. In this day and age harassing someone based on discrimnation is against the law. People have been thrown in to jail for cyber bullying as well.

Now back to the RANCH. The peaceful pony talk ranch. How is the weather in your area? It has been getting hot here. This place gets on an average of 108 with no relief or rain for months. If I ride it has to be at the crack of dawn or in the evening. The weather here gets very windy during those times to. We have endless trails outside my front door but going to where? No trees, water or rain. Hard stony ground. I loved riding in Loxahathee.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Destiny,

I seems like you get much hotter whether there then down here... It get's hot as you know here, but not ever over 98/99 and it really doesn't get that warm until the end of Aug... I'm trying to talk my husband into going out on the ocean today....LOL

He likes to go real early thinking that the boat ramp might be full by noon... but it never is!!!!

Last weekend we went out, and my daughter and I desided we were going to take the jet ski's all the way out to where we saw a cruise ship... It was so beautiful and peaceful out there... and we made it to the ship and back.... everyone on the cruise shop was waving and saying hi when we circled around it to head back to the beach.. they were probably thinking look at those two crazy women.

The daughter that was with me doesn't ride the horses, she would rather be on the water. My other daughter was at a horse show, but when she comes with us she is a speed demon on the jet ski's because she is so used to riding and jumping the horse's her leg strength is incrediable.

If I were where you are as hot as it get's where you are, I would be riding in the early morning or late afternoon too, that is just way to hot to be out in without being able to get an occational refreshing rain.

Hope your weekend is grand! Peace to you and will talk to you soon.

Healing and Peace- The winds are kicking up today. My son found an injured bird. So we got the Giant Bermuda and made him a nest in a small card board box. Awaiting the arrival of the rescue bird team. It looks like a Cockateal but a wild bird grey mostly maby with some dark green and a thin beak. Poor baby. I hope the bird makes it. Had to feed pellets cause the winds will just blow the hay out. Jet skiing is fun and cool. What lake did you go to? The heat here is dry. I would love to see some Florida trees.

Awwhh so sweet about the bird... is it like a Animal Control or just for birds that will come and pick it up? I woke up one morning to two ostridges on my property.. So I called some bird place to come and get them.. they're so big, and I didn't know if they were friendly or not, and I wasn't about to try to find out.. LOL

We don't go to the lakes, because I refuse to go in any water that I can't see what is under... me too many gators in the lakes! Besides I love the clear ocean water, so we always go in the ocean or to an island off of Palm Beach.. The island is called Peanut Island but if the ocean is flat we go out into the ocean without going to the island at all. We just anchor them off shore or beach them, and unload the chairs/towels/cooler and then we can ride and relax, just more fun on the ocean I guess then the island. The island is full of younger kids and almost like a party all the time.. but even our young adult kids like the ocean better then the island.

We didn't go today, maybe tomorrow for Father's day will head out there as long as the whether in nice.

I called Animal control and the animal control officer on call came and got the bird. She is the same one that always comes out. I am sure she loved seeing me. She didnt look to thrilled. Too damn bad that is the protocol. It is against the law to keep a wild animal and you have to call animal control about injured birds. Of course when she comes in the middle of a raging wind storm the tarp for a shader blew off, the feed pan was in the pee hole. Must have looked impressive. I dont care. She wasnt there on a complaint just to pick up a bird.

The atlantic ocean and beaches looks much cleaner than the pacific ocean and beaches. The pacific ocean always looks full of seaweed and stirred up sand. If you try to fish off the pier lines get crossed. There are drug dealers everywhere and some violence. The bay is OK until the car full of liquored up teenagers pull up and start acting obnoxious. Lots of boats pulling in and out. Thats in San Diego. I knew this one man who had his horse stable in Loxahatchee groves that ran a summer camp for kids and him and the kids would swim in the big murkey green hole. Didnt look very sanitary.

How is your son doing? My boys are really into skate boarding and it scares me so my mom is sending the youngest a helmet, knee pads, etc. I hope he wears them. We always ride with a riding helmet.

Not sure what you can do with a tarp with that much wind... It's good that they came and got the bird, was it hurt or maybe sick?

Your right about the atlantic ocean, it is so clear even compared to the west coast of Florida. The water on the Gulf seems to always be merky, but I enjoy the coves and all the sand bars over there.

Peunut Island is fun and nice to go to once in a while. Years ago, the Kennedy's had a compound on the property and the old house is still standing, and the county opened it for the public to visit but of course you have to take a boat to get to it, so the people that don't have boats they can take a water taxi to the island.

My son's nose looks a lot better, at least now you can see the brake wasn't what was causing it to point towards his ear... LOL The infection looks like it is almost gone, it's not all swollen anymore.

Two of my boys got into that skating and skate boarding when they were younger, they have to wear those helmets though... they don't seem to mind though because even the bigger kids wear the helmet's,... Your a good mom for sending the pads and helmets.... They are so daring when they are on those ramps and doing all those tricks they do... but as long as they are wearing the helmet's and enjoy I think it is a great sport for younger boys and young teenagers.

About the injured bird. The neighbor I have a restraining order against feeds the wild birds out here tons of bird seeds and has bird baths for them. She also feeds the rabbits tons of carrots. Not good. Her food is attracting these birds and rabbits and the birds and rabbits are attracting predators like Coyotes, snakes, huge balck ravens, etc. That swoop down and kill these poor things. From the looks of the bird, the bird had a huge chunk that looked like a depression of feathers missing from the side of its neck and a broken wing. My guess is a raven or crow grabbed it.

How long does it take to get to Peunut Island on a boat? It sounds nice. I am so far away from water its ridiculous. When I was in Texas on the gulf of Mexico on Mustang Island the water was warm, buy not clear and a lot of tar was washing up on the beach.

The one thing good about the desert is there are no mosquitos, or bugs that fly around and annoy people. I do remember that being a problem in florida. All the mosquitos. Many think it is strange that I prefer the humidity to the dry desert heat.

How often do you ride? I know you told me before but I forgot. What type of work do you do in the medical field?

Your so right about feeding the animals because even here that attracts the predators as well.

You had mentioned that the Judge saw the case as discrimination, if you don't mind me asking what type of discrimination.

It doesn't take long at all to get to the island like five minutes from the boat ramp even fasting if there wasn't a no wake zone... but you really don't want to go fast around the island because there's so many sea turtles around, plus there's lots of sand bars so many times people get stuck on the sand bars until the tide comes in... but most people know exactly when it is low and high tide and they are well aware of the sand bars and where they are... just the novice frequently get stuck there for a while. I remember like 20 years ago when you couldn't even walk on the beach without getting tar all over your feet but I never see tar anymore on the beaches here. The ocean seems so clean and clear here, most of the time depending on the tide you can see the bottom even way out in the ocean... it's super clear blue water.

So far this year were not getting chewed up yet by the mosquitos... I think I spoke to soon yesterday it's 98 today so we desided to wait until later on in the afternoon to go out on the jet ski's.

I was a PA, and worked with three Doctors for years, then I created my org., working with children and horses, which then lead to working with the hospitals with children mostly but adults too, some are recovering from serious illness, and some are terminal.

I ride but not as often as I used to, just because of the work I do, and making sure all the stables and horses are being taken care of.. so when I do the time to ride, I'd rather spend it away from the stables, and horses, since my husband is not involved in the horse business at all. When I have time off we try to spend it on the boat, jet ski's or just hanging out around the house.... So to answer your question I only ride a couple times a week now days, between being at the hospitals, the stables, and working on the computer and making sure all the paper work is done everyday from home, I get pretty busy.

There are times when I take on too much and I take breaks, come on here check out the threads, and make sure I get to either an al-alnon online meeting or in person at least 4 times a week. WHich helps keep me grounded, and falling for my drug addict sister's games.

Healing and Peace- The neighbor tore down my Gay Pride signs that my step daughter put up and called my 10 year old innocent son a racial slur and threatened to beat his Ass. We have a handy dandy tape recorder and camera. This BS has been going on for 3 years and I woke up one day and went to court to file civil harassment charges to put an end to it for once and for all. She never had kids, is divorced and has no life. Creeps me out how she knows more about what goes on in my life than I do. She used to sit at the fence line and argue about nonsense with my husband everyday. Stalking and peering into someones life with the intent to cause harm is illegal. The judge said I had more than enough evidence to prove my case. I just dont take shit off of people anymore. Now I call the sheriff and let them do what they are paid to instead of going back and forth with bullies. Seems to work.

My meth addicted daughter is still playing her games. I sure could use a support group cause now I am just flying by the seat of my pants as in tryng to figure out how to handle her. I dont take her collect calls. Hardly write her. She is pregnant and playing me off the daddy as to who gets the baby that she will deliver behind bars. I plan to write her a letter and tell her to make whatever decision she sees fit but in the end she must take responsiblity for it, and not to even contact if it is the wrong one.

Its getting hot as hell here. Its 6 pm guress I will get up and take the pony out. Down the dusty trail I go!

PA is a really great career. Much in demand. I used to do the therapeutic riding with kids.

(((Destiny)))
Hi there, just been reading you and Healing's banter and find it refreshing..Of course I am cyber friends with Healing so it caught me up on whats going on in her life..It sounds to me that you may live in the same part of Calif as I do..the desert, hot as heck, windy as hell.lol.and lots of wild dogs and rabbits and of course those big black crows..arent they a pain? When I first moved back here we had a little black cockapoo dog and I was almost afraid to let her outside for fear that one of those crows would pick her up and fly away with her.lol. But alas she passed at 17 and now we have a great dane, and nothing is picking him up..lol..so it is nice to say hello to you, I have read many of your posts and find you delightful. Oh lets see if I can give you a clue as to what part of the desert I am in..hummm...how about...somewhere near Edwards..thats all I will say. If you know what I speak of than you are also in the high desert, if not than maybe the low desert..Palm Springs area .....anyway I hope your having a nice day and by the way you do know that you can always attend support group meetings online right? I myself am a grateful Alanon member and It has helped me find the peace and serenity I was looking for along with learning that I am powerless over others and there lives....
Hope to talk at you again soon and I also hope I didnt interrupt you and Healings flow here..

Hang in there in regard to your daughter, there are a few online meetings like Peace4all stated. You may feel it is easier to attend an online meeting instead of a face to face meeting.

Peace4all has offered wonderful and caring support to me... She is wise, and has been there and done that (sort to speak) I'm making you sound like a hoochie girl Grammie!!! LOL but for real your welcome to talk and let your feelings out on here and we will listen, and you can get angry, vent, laugh, cry, whatever we will be here for you if you need us. Just say what you feel when you need to say it, or let it out... and maybe think about joining one of the online Al-Anon meetings if you would like to, or feel it could help give you more support.

I know it must be difficult knowing you have another grand children coming into this world and you don't have a clue as to if your going to be able to be part of his or her life or not.. but don't give up on the grand child, just because the parents aren't thinking clearly. If nothing else you should be able to see him or her when he/she is born and be able to visit if the baby will be close by.

I know you will keep the baby close to your heart even if you don't get to see it or hold it right away... You never know what is in store for you or your new grandchild, you have all the right in this world to welcome the baby into your life, even if you don't get to see him or her right away, you can always send cards, and let the baby know how much you love him or her... I'd even suggest sending a card to your daughter for the baby, maybe she will save it for the baby so when he or she get's older will know no matter what you always have love for your grand child.

Too bad about your neighbor, but at least now maybe she will back off, now that there's a restraining order.

Peace4all, I forgot to tell you there's 12 pups! All of them are all black with a little bit of white on them, mostly on their chest, and paws.... are you sure you don't want me to send one out to you... 7 girls, and 5 boys...And by the way anyone is welcome on this thread... and your always welcome to comment or say what you feel like saying. I'm sure Destiny would agree.

No one is ever interrupting the flow... not unless you start saying Hey you Beothca listen here.. then I will have to say excuse me.... take it somewhere else... LOL

Anyone that wants to join into the conversation I'm good with it!

Peace4all- So happy you joined us. I used to live near Rosamond in Lake Los Angeles than about 10 years ago I moved to the other end of the Mojave I live near the largest Marine Corps Base in the world. I have a clear unobstructed view of it from my window. Can hear the bombs being tested all night and see the fire and smoke way off into the distance. A real no mans waste land. I no longer care for this place especially now that the inferno is upon us. Thank you for your compliment. I need support groups but 25 miles to civilation and no child care makes it tough. My MacBook keeps shutting off which makes it hard to do anything on line.

Right now I dream of cool weather, trees and water. Or even living near civilation.

On line support groups sound like a great idea.

Healing and Peace- What breed of pups do you have? They sound adorable. I can see that Peace4all is a wonderful asset here.

My daughters situation is weighing heavily on my mind so far the answers have not come as to how to handle the situation.

I just nailed a POSTED no trespassing sign onto my Ranch Sign and underlined that all trespassors will be prosecuted. Maybe these folks will get the hint. I know they will when I send the Sheriff to serve the final order to the one woman.

Just bought pony a 20% bermuda 80%alfalfa hay. Tired of the bermuda grass blowing everywhere. Pellets are OK but gone to quickly. I believe that hay helps the sand pass and aides in their degestion and helps wear the teeth down. They have a new hay called TEFF ever hear of it. She spooked at a jack rabbit and I almost broke my thumb on the horn of the saddle.

They are Great Dane pups... Peace4all and I just recently found out we both have a great dane... and now I have 13 great danes... anyway until they are old enough to find homes for them... LOL

I'm sure the situation with your daughter is weighing heavy on your heart.. I can't imagine the combined stress knowing she is going to be having a baby and not knowing where the baby will be and all on top of where she is it is a lot for anyone to deal with and think about. I feel for you, really my heart goes out to you.

Try to get a hay bag, you know the kind that you can tie to the side of her paddock.. that way most of it will stay in the bag until she eats it all..and it can't really blow away too easily, and your right hay is so important in their diet. They really need it or grazing pasture...so knowing where you and the the dry whether, you really have no choice but to have to buy hay. How much is it in Ca.

I've never heard of TEFF.... what is it. Have you tried beet pulp or denji hay? With the beet pulp you need to soak it really good, let it soak in water for a good half hour to an hour before you give it to her though... with the pony I would only recommend about a half a scoop maybe twice a day, then give a little less hay in a hay bag/net.. one that the wind can't blow away.. the denji will help keep weight on her if she is looking a little thin from not having too much hay lately. Once you get her to a nice size she will do just fine with a flake of hay in the morning, half midday, and one in the evening.

Great Danes. They are very gentle dogs. I beat they can eat though.

I have a bale of giant bermuda and a bale of 20%bermuda 80% alfalfa. I give her what looks like 2 flakes of bermuda in the morning (cause of the weight) and a flake in the afternoon of the other. Her weight is great. She borderlines overweight. She is a very easy keeper. It's 5 pm still too hot to ride. Looks like the best time is right when the sun comes up.

I still need to draft a letter to my daughter. She has never listened to anyone before I am sure she wont listen now. I feel better distancing myself from her.

I pay like $13 for bales of hay. I buy them often to make sure they are fresh. I feel so bad for her in this heat.

I bought a natrual fly spray made by Farnam with natural oils and citronella.

The pups are nursing so feeding them for now isn't expensive, but the vet bill will be when I take them in for their puppy shots and all. Great danes are so sweet and loving, as big as they are love to try to get right up on the sofa with you... they think they are lap dogs.

I'd say do what your heart is telling you to do in regard to your daughter Destiny, maybe it would be good to write the letter but not mail it just yet.. so that in a couple days you can go back and re-read it and then make your decission then if you still want to mail it or not. Sometimes just writing what we feel helps enough without even having to mail it or give it to the person your addressing it to. You may shed a lot of your feelings this way, and feel better about simply writing down how you feel in regard to your daughter.

Great prices on hay there in Ca.. were paying 13 on the low side for no so good hay, and 17 for a bale of T & A... I perfer the grassy hair for our horses but sometimes they don't have it at the feed stores so I have to get t&a which isn't bad just depends on when the feed stores get it in, and where they get it from.

So has the natural fly spray helped at all that you can notice?

Healing and Peace- The natural fly sprayy does work. So does vaseline around her eyes. But i did see a Bee attracted to it. The Hay here is nice. Really nice. I buy it a little at a time. I dont buy the old stuff I buy this years stuff. The alfalfa gave her a little spunk. You should see all the bunnies eatting it up.

The answer hasnt come to me as to what to do with my daughter. She seems perfectly content to have the babies daddy put money on her books, buy her care packages and talk to her once a week. Whatever. I have to look back at when I had my kids and didnt listen to a word my parents said (still dont LOL).

I am going back to work next tuesday. Doing what I did in Florida taking care of neonates on life support. It has been a while. So I am going for training. I am only going to work like once a week. I prefer adults. They are more stable. Easier to care for.

I was thinking about getting a toy poodle. I think they are so darn smart and I love their coats.

I agree when we were young how much did we really listen to our parents!!!

I know, I used to think they were smart and they knew so much but with my kids, I didn't want their advise.. but years later it was all good advise but I'm sure they didn't want to listen to their parents either!!!

I think poodles are really smart, but I hate to see those poodle cuts on them, I think their so cute when people just let their hair grow naturally and keep then trimmed up. Some lady called me this morning trying to give me another Great Dane.. Just what I don't need right now! I wish I knew someone that could take him in though.. but I don't.. so I told the lady I'd ask around but didn't really have any suggestions for her. Maybe there is some great dane rescue out there or something she could call.. I don't know.

When I'm at the hospitals and I see those tiny babies it's hard to believe they can be so small and survive but many do. But fragile that's for sure... what really bothers me more then anything and this may sound strange but when I see an 81 year old patient, then an 18 month old patient and you know the 81 year old will be fine but the 18 month old won't make it.. not that I would want the 81 year old to die or anything.. it's just so hard to get a grip on sometimes. You know whay I'm saying... just difficult to take in. Oh well, it is work and that's all part of it.. so it is what it is.

Glad the fly spray is working I'll have to check it out, one of my little pigmy goats died, one we had for 10 years.. she really wasn't mine but my father had her and another one at one of his barns and he couldn't keep them there anymore so about 7 or 8 years ago he brought them up to our property. She was a friendly goat, but she had a easy and spoiled life.. the first goat I ever saw that was a picky eater!
