Hello Kathy! Hey - are you thinking of leaving this site? PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T!!! I have only been sporadically reading & posting recently, due to illness & severe depression. I did gather there was a lot of nastiness which I hadn't the stomach to get into. I probably missed all the horrid arguments & accusations out of my own weakness & cowardice.

1 or 2 people on these boards annoy & upset me too much to bear at times. So I literally switch off & detach. Reading some self-aggrandising, N-supply-seeking posters & seeing others suck up to them nauseates me. I have enough problems of my own. Perhaps I should speak out objecting to their supercilious, narcissistic judgementalism, but I get v low & weepy & miserable and just can't. My bad. I just feel misery & discouragement. Sorry.

But I have learned SO much from you, and been helped tremendously! And I hope I have supported you too, when you were having tests done for eg, and on your Birthday.

I would be devastated to lose touch. I love this site too most of the time (except when self-styled 'leaders' try to take over with torrents of shallow & self-important rhetoric!)

I shall check out that site and hope to find another 'safe space' to share personal growth issues in open friendliness & mutual support.

I hope you are well & happy, and am sending you my best 'vibes' & blessings. Hope to "see" you soon. Love, gazelle. xxx

oh you guys can be sure that Kathy will do anything only if it makes her comfortable. That doesnt mean she's selfish - she's doing the right thing- putting herself first. She wont do anything to scare her inner child, under any circumstances. To me thats very admirable and I wish I had some of that. I'm gonna hang around over there too to follow kathy around as gazelle mentioned.

Ok, some thoughts which I just wanted to say about myself since I'm feeling really baddd. No one is indebted to read or anything. I just had to express.
I am feeling extremely horrible and empty, I cant even tell. There's nothing that would pacify me. Everything is falling apart, everywhere around me there's only distress and the emptyness. Its very sad. I can only hope I feel better tomorrow, I probably might. When I reach a low like this, it usually gets better. But right now, all I am is a sad bundle of distress.

I dont know if thats cause I'm hungry, wonder if its an eating disorder - am I eating to make myself feel better, I dont know.

I dont expect a reply to this, I just wanted to say here how bad I'm feeling. And yes that loneliness is a big problem and that girl in my life, a reminder of a possible failure. I know, I know, I have to let it go and be free and happy on my own and not depend on her approval of me. That would be a high place to be in. I'll try to think about it. I was trying to remember the good times I've had and I got a boost from it. I'll try to remember more and going to sleep now though.

I feel horrible, horrible and horrible. There atleast thats out :(( hm :((. Guess i'll go get something to eat.

For the person who wants to learn, everyplace can be a school and everyone can be a teacher.

Where ever you go, there you are.

hi Mama, thanks for the support! Having a little bit tough times because of the girl affair. I'm trying to hang in and remind myself that my life is good otherwise and I'm glad and contented from that side. Its just that I miss someone significant in my life. I guess its a time for me to learn to love myself, maybe this loneliness is a good chance for me to learn this. Interesting.

hi WD

I wanna learn about meditation and inner child healing. KathyG is a good teacher for me in inner child because she does it herself. John Bradshaw says children learn from that their parents do, not what they say. So its kinda like the same in this case, I learn from her. I havent met anyone like her atleast on this site, so ...

I want to learn about meditation from Tez so lets see what happens. I'm also going to attend a Bhuddist meeting in about two weeks.

But going with what you say, its true what Tez says sometimes "When the student is ready, the teacher appears"

Hi folks,

For the safety, and anonymity of this site... the reason this site is the "way" it is as you all enjoy it... the sharing of other places where you can exchange personal information/emails/IM's, etc, is not permitted. Anonymity in all regards, is a must for all those who visit or use this site. It is the reason this site lives & breathes as it does. It is why it can be a "safe haven".

Kathy therefore, has just broken the most firm guideline on this site, one that she knows very well. Her post has been deleted. I urge all of you not to post such information, as I have stated recently, that there are no more warnings, rather, you are asked to leave the site immediately if you do this.

My apologies for the interruption and firm reminder.

SC

I'm sad to see Kathy go.

And I hope that she won't be the last to have spoken up on the support threads if the bible squad was in missioninzing mode.

I wondered if that was a breach of anonymity...

I didn't even check the other place...So it was a non-anonymous site? I'm not sure why you would have one of those for a counseling related site.

Eve - do you really feel that it's necessary for you to refer to the people on this site who believe in God, as the bible squad? I don't, and find it a bit offensive that you feel the need to label individuals who have certain beliefs, in such a disrespectful way. Name calling is also against the guidelines.

Eve and Shaney.....

Eve I don't think the mention of the Bible or the Lord etc is missionizing if it is just mentioned regarding that person's experience or belief. I have not seen anyone trying to "convert" on this site. I also think labeling was a bit harsh.

Shaney...I want to say in a very loving way... let's turn the other cheek. Eve may not have meant to label but to put a name (right or wrong) as an adjective.

I think we just got over one heck of a battle. Let's have a few days breather before the next battle begins. I think we should do our best to courteous to the others, specially since tempers are still hot. Ok by ya'll?

No problem. I'm not looking for a battle, but for what it's worth, comments such as these strike a nerve with me. Point taken, mamac - I can definitely let this go in light of what has occurred lately, regardless of how it was meant. Peace to you.

Love - Shaney

Shaney,

you asked me "do you really feel that it's necessary for you to refer to the people on this site who believe in God, as the bible squad?"

No, I don't mean people who believe in God. I mean people who repeatedly act against the guidelines by preaching religious sermon instead of giving individual, problem oriented approach. There have been a lot of discussions here about this issue, and kathy was one who was very thouchy in this respect. I don't have anything against people who believe in God, but I don't want to be missionized or be told to pray if I have a problem.

"...feel the need to label individuals who have certain beliefs, in such a disrespectful way"

again, I don't label people for their beliefs, but for their actions towards me or towards this board.

Hi Eve & Shaney,

Actually, I can see Eve's and Shaney's point on this one. I knew what you meant Eve, there has been a fair amount of gratuitous persuasive piety here, and it has been troublesome sometimes, thus our new improved guidelines regarding religion. I think you clarified what you meant pretty well.

And we are all a bit touchy lately. The littlest thing can have us feeling slighted and reaching for our hammers.

So I can also appreciate that some folks might feel touchy about being assigned to a "squad."

And besides, those of us who are members of the elite, super-secret "actual" Bible Squad (and who are responsible for maintaining the spiritual purity of this site as well as every other site on the world wide web, and keeping track of the state of grace of everyone's soul, making sure that intercessionary prayers are offered for those who accidentally transgress against His Noodly Goodness) could feel slighted and feel that you are usurping our rightful mission and giving it to the "other Bible Squad," whose members, although well intended, are not really able to help vulnerable newcomers understand the spiritual difference between bleached and whole wheat noodles, for example.

In fact, some of those good, loving people actually believe that saifun is a form of pasta, when nothing could be further from the truth. True, saifun is a delicious, low fat "noodle-shaped" food group, but to call it pasta? That is blasphemy, and will surely lead the unrepentant to find that their neighborhood in heaven does not have an actual beer volcano, but merely a lite beer volcano. That would be a tragedy.

Oops, was I preaching again?

lol. you smarta**. I do hope Mother Cindy noodle is not watching right now. She might get mad and push you off into that volcano of lite beer and then you'd not have the true satisfaction of a full-bodied robust taste to wash the saifun down w/. Oh, what a tragedy. Mother Cindy, please forgive him. 🙂
