I
feel that God is so far away, I know I'm spose to praise him in all
things. I'm tired of being alone, I'm tried in feeling I must do
this by myself or nothing happens, I'm tired of people that I care
about don't care for me. I'm sad all the time and can't find any
joy. I'm hunted by the past and know from experince that the
tomorrow is going to suck more. The pain is overwhelming. No pills
make it better, nor does talking- if that where the case I would be
aok!

So Done with life

Hi
Mase, I guess I came here to read this thread because the title
describes so clearly how I feel many times. If I didnt believe in
something greater than myself, I would feel even more alone than I
do many times. There does not seem to be any easy answers for
feeling this way. I have to remember that people are where they are
in life and if they have nothing to give then I have to give myself
a lot of things Im lacking. It may sound selfish, but necessary to
keep ones sanity. I have had to let go of a lot of my past issues
because they certainly did not make me feel any better and there is
nothing I can do about them now. So, I turned them over and now try
to leave them there. Sometimes we need to turn these things over
and over again when they want to creep back into our consciousness.
It is a daily thing to try to just live for each day and what needs
to be done at that time. So, I just keep bringing my attention back
to, what do I need to do now and start doing something along those
lines. Anything just to get started so I will not dwell on things I
can not change. I hope something I have shared can help you. I know
that no matter how we feel about what others say or do, we still
have to care about ourselves. This is survival for some of us. Take
care, okay, and know you are not alone in this.

Mase,

First of all, I
want to say I am so sorry that you are feeling so alone. I can't
tell you how many times I've felt that way too. Feeling alone and
feeling lonely are two different things. Most people don't really
find a distinction in that, but to feel alone is to feel
hopeless.

You are NOT alone
and there IS hope. The fact you are posting here means that you
have hope even if at the moment it is no bigger than the smallest
grain of sand on an infinite beach. I know this may only seem like
black words on a white screen, but I truly do care that you feel so
alone. I've been there and it pains my heart that anyone would feel
that way.

I read somewhere
that Codependents often have a hard time believing that God cares
for them and that they tend to have a lot of difficulty with
"religion" as a result. I wish I could remember the source and if I
have time later this evening, I will try to find it for you. It
really helped me to understand that what I felt was normal for a
person like me.

You are in my good
thoughts...

When
you say "I'm tired of being alone, I'm tried in feeling I must do
this by myself or nothing happens, I'm tired of people that I care
about don't care for me." It sounds to me that somewhere you are
caught in the web of the world's system, either by some false
belief that you have, and/or that those around you have. A real
Christian(and there are fewer than you may believe) will care about
you. Christ has given that as a command. Then he said that that is
a fruit that you will know them by. "That you love one another".
Perhaps you can look up what John Piper has to say about the
American Church of today to help you understand what I
mean.

Remember that the
truth is what sets you free.

So maybe some
re-evaluating of what you and the people around you believe about
what it means to be a believer. There is so much false teaching out
there.

Are you speaking
of the same God that says "I stand at the door and knock"? You do
realize that he is not speaking to sinners, but to the church (the
believers)when he said that. He has no fellowship at all with the
lost, they are (spiritually) "dead" until they choose to be His.
Then he tells us that i we move closer to him, he will move closer
to us. So, you are not powerless to have him move closer to
you.

Try moving closer
to him every day. Trust that he will keep his promise. Trust that
what he said about the Holy Spirit, that he will guide you. And
always seek the real truth through his word, not what others
teach.

You can find John
Piper on line and some of his sermons on Youtube.

Now
about tomarrow "sucking".

It will. Thats why
we need God. We are going see the world get worse. We will be told
that the remedies that governments are doing are for our welfare.
We are going to continue to be lied to. We are in a corrupt world.
Seeking the truth about things like Politics (I recommend going to
youtube and listen to what Ron Paul says about Issues today -- by
the way, he is a Christian) I recommend looking into Oil (Paster
Lindsey Williams and his experience as Paster on the Alaskan
Pipeline, for example) And, of course, the gulf oil spill. We have
been lied to about everything.

Then look up info
on the New World Order and The North American Union. There is
plenty more to shift your paradigm, but that will rock your
world... You might check out some of the links here.

There is a video
about our consumption, and how we were manipulated becoming pauns
in a system that is using us and trashing the planet at the same
time. It is very eye opening, It's called "the story of stuff" It's
only 20 minutes long. You can find it on line. More truth that may
be hard to accept. We are conditined by media and so are the people
around you. That is having an affect on what is happening to you
too. It affects how they look at you.

Once you have your
paradigm shifted, by beeing freed by the truth, remember this world
system is passing away and that God's system is forever. When you
go beyond believing into knowng, you will probably have the same
Joy that Paul and his desciples had when they were in prison --
singing! They had joy because they KNEW the truth. They know they
had a future that will last forever, no matter what happens to them
here.

Jesus said: "In
this world you will have trouble, but take heart. I have overcome
the world."

formerly,

You said: "...with
the lost, they are (spiritually) dead.."

Nonsense.
Spirituality has nothing to do with religion. You're no more chosen
than anyone else & we will not be judged by some jealous,
vindictive, invisible god.

Believe in
yourself. You are not "less than or unworthy" merely by virtue of
being being human.

It's a provable
fairy tale with its' roots in Astrology. Nothing more.

Santa claus is
real. Prove me wrong.

Craig,

You don't know as
much as you think you do. But what can you expect from the
"spiritually dead"

You have invaded
another thread that has discussion of which you know nothing... I
know intelegent athiests who understand the concepts in the text of
the bible. At least they address it.

If I'm being
called the "lost" and "spiritually dead" (since I'm an atheist),
then I should have the right to call the religious the ... blah
blah. You're right about intelligent atheists seeing the concepts
in the Bible though. I'm gonna go over to the happenings thread and
post a nice verse for you. Wont post it here since its someone
else's thread.

How
about just reading what formerly posted and letting it sink in?
Humor me. Just read, calmly, think about it, meditate over it,
ponder it.

See what
happens.

Why thank ya. Kind
words indeed. So, what about xtians being spiritually dead? Would
that be ok to say? I'm guessing you probably wouldn't like it
much.

As for me,
considering the source - I'll loose zero sleep over it. lol Life is
too short to get all wound up about this nonsense.

andii,

I've thot about
it. I was raised thinking about & listening to that type of
verbal-garble every Sunday & then some. Still trying to throw
off the residual shackles of shame, guilt & fear. I've
cancelled my subscription to the daily dogma.

Understandable CC. Now do you think that Christians are going
to listen to your experiences and thoughts when you speak in a
condescending, demeaning manner? Or if you attack by name calling
and belittling? I mean seriously.

dandii,

So, who drew first
blood here? Not I. If you recall I was labeled "spritually dead".
Who's condescending? In any event, it's a rare xtian that will
think critically regardless of how they are addressed. It's the
same old arrogantly assertive response from them, but God forbid
anyone respond in kind lest they be scorned. A virtual lynching?
It's an age old tactic of xtians. Any dialogue that is in conflict
with their beliefs sets them off. Whining like a bunch of school
girls.

I harbour no ill
will toward anyone here. The xtians vehement reactions say much
more about them than they do about me or anyone else for that
matter. Then when that doesn't work they threaten to bail. Take
their ball & their bat & go home. Proclaiming that they'll
never come back to the meanies/bullies ever again but, they always
do though. Looking for another excuse to play vitim? Suffering as
Jesus supposedly did? pfft!

Wouldn't it make
more sense to go play in an xtian sandbox on another site with like
minded people? You don't go into a lounge & complain about the
alcohol?

I say lighten up.
Take another valium/prozac - whatever. Live past it. It's up to the
individual as to how they choose to react.

Live long &
prosper, Love CC

(((ChristCo)))

Pretty ironic huh?
( maybe G-G and I too?)

Nowhere in my
belief system does it include harming others due to;

a) their choice of
religion or lack of religion. I will reject their onslaughts and
protect my realm tho. b) judge or dislike them for their sexual
conduct, sexual orientation, or the ammount of flesh they expose.
c)infringe on a persons right to self govern and express what they
are passionate about. That embodies every emotional spectrum that
is used in context ( as long as they do not intentionally
harm the innocent or rob others)

It's pretty
inclusive as long as I am not threatened.

I feel pretty good
about myself living by these simple respectful rules.

( there are more
but I'm not trying to convert people !LOL)

I know you live by
them too.

I'm glad to know
you and understand completely your frustration for i experience the
same thing.

I see you for what
you are. A caring single dad who works his ass off to try and
support his family, including his Mother, tries to live with
compassion, dignity and integrity AND is pretty darned
creative to boot!

You have come here
and shared your issues in the past and None of that seems to matter
to certain "churchies". (Good thing they aren't ALL like that.)
Thats intentionally CRUEL!

If some want to
roast a "pig" it AIN'T YOU! Be well!

It is kind of judgmental to judge someone's spirit - but that's in

too. You could write for SNL or something.

Love Dana's church
lady shtick. Having seen those types in our church during my youth,
I totally 'got it'. Damn near cried myself to tears the first time
I'd seen him do that bit. Thx for the memories.

Oh
you peoples are just a riot!

some peoples feel
tremendous joy and relief and I don't know- good things in
spiritual undertakings, Jesus for example. And they want to share
that.

That's a god
thing- a mark of a kind and generous heart.

Then there are
those who want to use it to their advantage, to gain a one-ups on
others, to control, dominate, subjugate. Not good peoples. Not good
hearts.

There's a
difference, and we live with both.

Agreed or
no?
