allow
me to yell at my favorite teacher "nietzche you asshole! why cant
you give a straight answer!" he never really specified or detailed
much on the ubermensh, one thing he said that i remember is that
what the ape is to man, that is what the man is to the ubermensch,
and also that in order to take in a river of strife and not be
changed one must be an ocean, so you could say that the over man is
a form of evolution, thats what the nazis said, seriously hitler
proclaimed that the samarian blonde hair blue eyed race was the
superior race and the ubermensch that nietzche talked about, and
the last man, something that nietzche called the death of
progression, hitler called them jews. no lie. and he constsnatly
said that he wanted to be misunderstood, and he only wanted the
people who should understand to understand, he constantly
contradicted himself, something i think he did consciously, but i
do believe in one thing, truth and facts are not the same thing,
for what is true is not always a fact, they may run parallel
occasionaly but they are never one.

i
will give one example that i am fond of, what nieztche calls the
noble man/free spirit, freud would call it a person with serious
emotional issues and detachment, and freud said that nietzche was
the only person that he had anything left to learn from. but im
sidetracking, freud would call someone depressed, nietzche would
all them a dionysian man, in my opinion they are both right, both
are equal truths, it just matters who you believe, what does it
matter if god is factual or not? if you believe in him then he is
true, in the end facts have less power than our personal
truths.

Dionysian man vs depression?

Well, we get back
to the common definitions and current interpretation of words. To
me, depression does not equate ecstacy, because I think being
depressed is a form of sadness or apathy, repressed anger. To me,
depression is blunting the emotions, tamping them down, trying to
bottle and cork them - because the emotions are unacceptable to
oneself or others.

If ecstacy is
passion, then anger would fit that category, blazing maniacal anger,
temper tantrums, hissy fits. But not repressed, depressed anger. in
my opinion.

I
think Hitler gave Nietzsche a bad name, like Manson gave the
Beatles little song Helter Skelter a bad name.

Ha! They took what
they wanted and left the rest.

EXACTLY! they heard one line and twisted it for their own
purposes. it amazing hat one person who is ambitous enough can do
to the world.

i just had a very
lengthy arguement with my brother because he wants to talk me out
of tattoing the phrase "no god no judgment" on my back, because in
his opinion atheist is wrong, and i shouldnt advertise it, i told
him he has that right but dont you think i have a right to think
what i want? and he replied no because i am wrong. he compared
atheist to murderers, that you wouldnt advertise being a murderer,
dont advertise being atheist. WOW you cant even make this stuff
up.

Well,
you might change your truth, and be stuck with the
tattoo.

Maybe you could
just get a little rubber bracelet? Like the WWJD bracelets?
Instead, you could have NGNJ. Or get them in a bunch of colors, and
trade them for sexual favors .. no judgment here.

now
that would be hilarious. i would tell the women to say they were
magically impregnated. i have heard the tired old aguement before,
i might become religious in time so i shouldnt do it, funny how no
one ever tries to talk a person out of tattooing a cross on their
back, they never tell them they might change their faith, and that
to me is why they are wrong.

is it
just me or is this goup filled with mentally unstable people really
easy to make laugh? seriously?

also, back tyo the
dionysian vs. depression arguement, yeah, nieatzche basically says
that the reason why people become like that is because they feel
the sense of tragedy so profound that they, here let me paraphrase
him a little bit "i would imagine someoneones shame would allow him
to roll though life heavy and round like a wine cask, his shame
would want it that way" arent all acoholics dionysian? arent
sex-addicts dionysian? people who give in to savage passion? i give
in to rage all the time, couldnt that be considered dionysian? yet
im told that it is related to my depression.

you could argue
that both frued and nietzche were right, i like to say they are
just two sides of the same coin

Yeah
Z, I see what you are saying. If depression is like excess - a bad
mood taken to the extreme, then yes, it could be the same, maybe a
passionate sadness. His premise is that Dionysian is the other side
of self control and logic, order and structure, mastery and
inhibition. He didn't seem to think that the two could happily
integrate.

He has to be
talking from his perspective, and about himself.

He was depressed
and suicidal at times. He wrote about it, and is quoted from those
writings. Thoughts of suicide are what get you through the
night?

"The thought of
suicide is a powerful solace: by means of it one gets through many
a bad night”

He suffered from
migraines.

lol i
dont have any tattoos right now, im just planning, my first one is
comin on in two weeks, i might wait a while for that one sinc ei
plan to put it on my arms, and i dont like the idea of exposed
tattoos, for profesional reasons. its really not that much if you
think about it, one on my back, one on my arms, thats it. it just
sounds like alot lol

Yeah,
good idea keeping them private. Otherwise you would have to explain
them all the time. I xrayed this kid once that had tang
tattooed on the back of his shoulder. I asked him what it meant and
he mumbled. His dad said, " I TOLD him not to do that". I wondered
what he would tell his grandkids when they asked - "go ask
Grandma"?

yup,
but my tats will be more personal, an atheist tat on my back which
not many people will ever see, and a nieztche quote on my arms
preaching about love. not that bad really, heck a lady friend might
even find the one on my arm romantic, kill two birds with one
stone.

So
Senor Z,

I was thinking of
this quote. "There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest
philosophy" (Or on your newest tat?)

Of course I know
this, but sometimes get too busy to remember. This week, for the
first time in I don't know how long, I had two days off in a row. I
barely spent any time online, checking (obsessing) about my emails,
bank balances, work schedule, etc. I had dinner out two nights in a
row, talked to realtime people I haven't seen in a long time, and
got plenty of rest. I also chased possums out of my kitchen.
Eeeek!!!!!! I flushed a nest out from under the house, and patched
holes in the cabinet floors. Note to self - bend over and
check this more often.

But - I'm dreaming. The truth and shit is coming to me in
dreams, and not about possums or holey cabinet floors - it's been
such a long time since I've had time to relax, I had almost
forgotten what a powerful means of communication this is, between
my subconscious and conscious minds.

yup,
i can relate to everything you just said. litterally, i have poosum
infestation myself right now, my dogs have killed three in the past
month, i dont want them to die but i cant seem to find their nest.
my job doesnt require my presense alot, and when i actually work
its rarely for more than five or six hours a day, i dont have any
frien ds expet one who goes to school out of state, so i have alot
of time alone and in my head, i think about thiongs alot, i replay
conversations in my head, trying to understand why people say
certain things, the motivation they had, like why would someone
accuse me of sleeping with someone when i havent, and the answer is
the same everytime, becaus eif they were in my position, they would
have dont it. which tells me that ost people are inherentyly evil,
or maybe a better word is selfish. whatever i am rambling on, dont
let my twisted nietzche philosophy bother you.

what
i was trying to say before i went on thier was that it IS a
powerful connection, a metaphor i use alot is it is like a drug,
very addicting, but no one will understand why you like it so much,
people will shun you for devoting so much time to it, spread rumors
and eventually turn their backs on you, and what is worse is that
you wont care, because you have your drug, and even though you hate
yourself, you couldnt picture living any other way.

It's
the end of the world as we know it and i feel
FInnnnnnne

"That's great, it
starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane and Lenny
Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn -
world serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs. Feed it off
an aux speak, grunt, no, strength, the Ladder start to clatter with
fear fight down height. Wire in a fire, representing seven games,
and a government for hire at a combat site. Left of west and coming
in a hurry with the furys breathing down your neck. Team by team
reporters baffled, trumped, tethered cropped. Look at that low
playing. Fine, then. Uh oh, overflow, population, common food, but
it'll do to Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own
needs, listen to your heart bleed dummy with the rapture and the
revered and the right, right. You vitriolic, patriotic, slam,
fight, bright light, feeling pretty psyched.

It's the end of
the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Six o'clock - TV
hour. Don't get caught in foreign towers. Slash and burn, return,
listen to yourself churn. Lock it in, uniforming, book burning,
blood letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate. Light
a candle, light a motive. Step down, step down. Watch your heel
crush, crushed, uh-oh, this means no fear cavalier. Renegade steer
clear! A tournament, tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me
solutions, offer me alternatives and I decline.

It's the end of
the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

The other night I
dreamt of knives, continental drift divide. Mountains sit in a
line, Leonard Bernstein. Leonid Brezhnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester
Bangs. Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You symbiotic,
patriotic, slam bug net, right? Right.

It's the end of
the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine...fine..."

Senor
Z,

Poosum
infestation, indeed. That sounds like crabs, man. I'm sorry - I am
a filthy minded person.

I am not the
PossumWhisperer... I'm a Possum Shouter. 'You fokkin Possum GET
OUTA MY HOUSE" One was sitting on my toaster when I got home from
dinner with my friend. My dogs are worthless. They're watchdogs.
They just watched me scream and stomp my foot and watched the
Possum stare back at me lookin crazy. I threw the toaster away. It
was new, it was a 4 slice, and it really pisses me off.

Bout the possums -
they like to hang (literally) from the pipes under the house. If
you ever see little bugs in the drains, you'll know they are there
because they carry fleas. They hang under bathtubs, and sinks. You
can hear them scratching the pipes, crawling up there to get a toe
hold with those godawful looking black rubbery talon things they
have for hands. Or feet, I'm not sure. Uggghhhh. I squirted
straight ammonia in the hole in the cabinet before I patched it. I
also put coffee cans of ammonia under the house. I'm hoarse from
breathing it, so they must have high-tailed it out of there. I
haven't heard any scratching under the pipes or anything thumping
on the roof at dusk for a couple of days. Yeehawww!!

If the worlds
gonna end, it will be the Possums' fault.
