Hah! I have a good friend in Orlando, actually a few, and I live like a 2 hour drive from there.

huh.

Online dating is better than IRL. I can have my fantasy, a boyfriend for a day, and then magically stop answering his emails. Or make up some random excuse for why I think he is a dick.

"As in, "Plenty of fish in the sea"? "

Which body of water are you swimming in?

Guess that depends on whether you're looking for cod or lobster.

That's what I like. Just can't afford them. I go to pet shops and stare at them for hours. People think I am strange.

I had a very expensive red bellied pirannah during colledge. her name was Ragnarock. She ate all the other fisies, crabs, tube worms, snails in the tank.

I eventually just started naming new fish Lunch, Dinner, Treat, Midnight Snack, etc.

She was very affectionate, blowing kisses to anyone who put their face by the tank or walked away from it (often knocking our her teeth in her amourus fevor.. she grew new ones daily)

When I moved to california, I had to sell her back to the pet store, but I made money as she looked so good.

What does this say about my dating objectives?

Going out a limb on this one, and it might crack and fall...cuthul, your dating objectives:
1. You appreciate smart and good looking women, and they have to have spunk...hince the "teeth"...but when they get involved with you, they get hurt, but keep trying...you lose interest, but you gain much from a relationship, and move on.

Just speculation...not a genie, and I don't know you!
How is everything going with you by the way..have not read a thread by you in awhile, has thre been any postive changes with your girlfriend?

Heh, that is funny.

That is supprisingly accurate. Quite insightfull of how I dated formerly before The One. (since water is so tied to our emotions, could what fish we like relate to our dating preferances?)

Nothing new or good regarding the ex. I wish she woudl come back, but I think she did the biting in this fish tale. Yep, I certailny feel like one of the feeder fish, still swimming around, wondering where their midsection went. (fish are odd). Guess I am sorta ok, back in player mode, just to cover the hurt, but would rather have love.

She did send me a email that my son was trying to contact her, but she was mostly paranoid that he was going to ask her why she left. (GOOD QUESTION!)

Are we getting off topic?

Hi Gully, what kind of fish are you would you say?

CUTHUL, one more realization..maybe it is time to stop looking in the fish tank and get in there and swim with the pirhannas?...as it seems you have complete control over the situation? Just thought I would say that? It does not seem that you are afraid of anything, or that this would apply to you from what I have read...but we are talking about fish and dating patterns.
Whoops, the limb broke, there I go-o-o-o-o-o-............

OMW

That is a darn good question! I have never thought of that. I am not being sarcastic or anything, but it kind of stopped me in my tracks. Really, it did. Kind of out of the blue.

I don't know. I am going to have to think about that, cause I can't think of any off hand.

Grr.

Anway.

I kind of like the on line thing. You can get to know a psychology first, and not be so blinded by the physicalities one way or another. Its fun and nice.

Its also something you can do on your livingroom couch in your underware, as opposed to having to get all dolled up and go out.

Hey, wasn't there a Drew Carey Show about his online dating experience? I seem to remember him getting all dressed up, chilling some champagne and then sitting down to his computer for a night of romance and love.

But cuthal, part of the fun is getting all dolled up. At least from this woman's perspective!

Time for another WD story...........

Slooking for that librarian?

Ummmm...ever tried a library? ;-]

The type of gal with the tightly pulled back hair into a neat bun. With glasses, and a tweed suit kindagal? Then she leans over to you, pulls the glasses down a wee bit and pears over them to look into your eyes for you to check out that old musky book out.

Oh, that's it, the smell of an old favorite book turns you on?

"Release....your inner...librarian"

Perhaps......
