@JudyTenuta: Nice backhanded insult there, +2 for effort, -5 for subtlety

Pretty par for the course though, can't resort to anything else, must call someone a misogynist.

@JudyTenuta:

"If you are going to TROLL, at least try to be original, nothing more boring than a troll who does nothing but call someone a misogynist because they don't happen to agree with everything that is happening with the family court system"

@JudyTenuta: Not sure what you mean, just wondering why your only posts in this thread are personel attacks and troll posts, but alas you have become boring (the worst offense a poster can make imho) so I will no longer respond to your troll posts.

We're talking about a woman who robbed a man of his money and use it to earn her degree, and then she divorced him after a couple of weeks after she got a job.

@LovinLife:

Well the good news is that you don't have to work WITH men, after all, why would any company hire a man to do the same work as a woman if they can pay a woman only 80 cents on the dollar (Answer: They wouldn't)

BTW Sir, you are making a very poor attempt at trolling. I think you perhaps you might want to get back under your bridge.

#%&* Philips

Are you sure we disagree? I really haven't said anything that disagrees with what you said. It seems that you call others a troll when people don't hold the same opinion you do. Or when you think they dont. I see your attempt to flame, but I don't disagree with you.

@JudyTenuta: You are trolling with your silly ass comments about WORKING UNDER MEN, and I was supposed to take the bait that you were a prostitute working UNDER men, but now you are pissed that I didn't take the bait.

Phil?

I didn't say I worked under men. that was lovin life. Are you getting a little rattled? Confused? Really it shouldn't be that hard to keep it all straight. There are only two of us now that are discussing this with you.

I'm baaaaack!

It doesn't take much to rattle this guys nutsack.

And guest you turn coat pretty quick..then again any opportunity to jump on a mistake pumps your little weenie then sends ya to the toy box...Now go fly your helicopter!

and Ma Strong...you just kill me! sometimes ;o)

This thread has become a tag team nut roast!

But seriously now.

We all know women make 20% + less than men, and Philips seems to think that is what we deserve, considering our down time with child birth, PT status, levels of stress and all.
I guess a long haul truck driver deserves to make 4 times more than a child care worker, or 2 times more than a nurse. Having a bunch of kids to look after, or the ailing ( shifts, too many patients, and long hours) can't be that hard?

BUT! here's another revelation that comes from "Me own life" experience and personal interviews!

Since i work in the trades, which is dominated by those high earning men, It never ceases to amaze me how many of them point out, for all the time men generally F the dog on the job each day, comparitively, to how hard and steady the few women slug away, it just doesn't seem right.

Those girls always have to be on the ball, "workin it" in a way no-body has an issue or reason to put her down. HA! Some of them even get colour themed ( pink) work apparel to make things more pleasant on those dreary work sites.

Philips. I don't think women are the only ones trying to change things. There are a lot of decent men out there, who want things to be fair. And they openly admit that the injustices exist.

These guys usually stay married too, UNLESS their wives are psycho's from hell! ( he, must be a lot of em right?)

YAH !There's are a few. Perhaps the same ratio as the ammount of men being taken by the courts.
I dunno. Nothins' perfect.

@MSGuided:

Really Long haul truckers make 4 x that of a child care worker. Jeez , those Child Care worker should be going after the government, as they are way below minimum wage

http://careers.stateuniversity.....river.html

The median for LHTs are $16 an hour, this means CCWs make $4 an hour, where is this exactly. AND since you said they make 2x that of nurses, nurses make $8 an hour. I highly doubt that.

http://swz.salary.com/salarywi.....00333.html

Has nurses at 65,000 per year. Lets do the math.

60 hour per week (I doubt they avg more than that) x 52 weeks = 3120 hours per year

65000 / 3120 = $20.8 dollars an hour.

@MSGuided:

"We all know women make 20% + less than men, and Philips seems to think that is what we deserve"

It is what people deserve if their choices remove them from the work force, they choose jobs that are low risk, have high flexibility, are stable (in terms of staying put), are in good to great working condition , are low skill and average less than other jobs in terms of hours per week. OF COURSE those people do.

Long Haul truckers who are self employed make $50 to 75 an hour sometimes more. I happen to know 2. One was my brother but he folded during a trucking crisis in the early 90's. He took in anywhere from 65,000 to 100,000 a year, for almost 6 years, minus expenses.

Child care workers also have expenses. It's not like kids are dropped off, sit in a chair all day and do nothing.

Those (truckers) employed by companies are anywhere from 14-25, depending on the employer and seniority.

Child care workers make minimum wage up to 18 an hour depending on their circumstances also. She may make over 20 an hour if she runs a daycare.

BTW. Not all women have kids or leave the workforce, and those are the ones who make 20% less in the same jobs as men.

But i gues you figure the times they go to the bathroom to fix their makeup is an issue?

Can't expect fairness from someone who obviously feels entitled and wronged when that entitlement is challenged.

Bleh..I'm done in this thread. You just don't know how to have fun either.

This bitch is outta here!

@MSGuided:

Now you are throwing self employed people into the mix, wow, you are grasping now.

You really have to start reading more about where that 20% less comes from. They don't account for ANYTHING to come up with that 20%, they 'simply' take all men and all women who work FULL YEAR (6 months or more per year) and FULL TIME (30+ hours per week), add calculate their salaries. If you were actually to do some research you would find out that when Education, Work Experience, Hours Per week, Tenure are taken into account , less than 10% of the GAP (iow, 10% of the 20%) is left and then some people assume that what is left is discrimination , which it might very well be. Of course, if you have do the math, 10% of 20% is 2% which is very little of a gap.

Of course you are going to leave the thread, you didn't get your way by trying to bully me with your buddies because the actual numbers for pay equity/equality simply don't add up.

Guest, playing devil's advocate here...couldn't we also say that the husband has robbed his wife of four years' earnings that she could have made working in a position that did not require a degree?

Fact is, no one -- not even Philip -- knows what went on behind closed doors in that house. Unfair to judge either way.
