((lovin life)) :o) - I think the fact that I wear a white tank top with black or grey sweats, cancels out some of the depression factor and evens out the mood in general. Or wearing that combo may be a flashing billboard advertising my struggle with good and evil. Just kidding (don't be scared). I noticed that the "black" description didn't mention the SLIMMING effect of wearing black, which is always a consideration when choosing black, isn't it? I like black... besides, ACDC tshirts don't come in any other color. HA!

Hmmm, I'm wearing black today myself. (And denim jeans of course!)

My ring tone is AC/DC Back in Black...I feel another "clique" coming on...

(That was just a JOKE!!!-My very weird eccentric highly devolved sense of humor there:):):):)

Ok, I was truly kidding about the clique thing...

If anyone is/was at all offended, please accept my sincerest apologies. It was not my intent at all. I really do want to learn how to kid around and have fun with people (the whole amethyst encrusted tiara with boxing gloves thing) with out offending...

I kind of wonder if I can learn how.

You know as a side note it's kind of interesting that at this very moment, the voices of my childhood come back to haunt me... I was always so serious... the straight A student... tried too hard to "have fun" in HS and college-drinking, etc... I think too much.:)

Are you KIDDING me? We love cliques, especially the ones with YOU in it. I've just been busy, that's why I haven't been posting. But I always love to hear from you with that great sense of humor of yours. No worries, longshot - I don't see you ever getting outa line. :o)

Whew! What a relief...you know I always colored inside the lines as a kid... ahh, but that's why everything I do balances to the penney...literally:)

I did put my tiara on before I signed on again tonight... just in case :):):)

So now I've got to thinking again...I've been told by people who've met me for the first time that they thought I was an artist or someone creative, and that is always such a compliment to me:) I don't look like I color inside the lines!!

I always wanted to color outside the lines... but my little girl brain said NO, that's not perfect, stay in the lines. Now my mid 40's brain is saying does it really matter inside or outside the lines...

MsGuided-you have a GREAT job being outta line. Question is what does your Outta Line Tiara look like?

And by the way...Shaney, what's your Tiara like?

Bevdee-I'm really liking the color info you gave. I actually wore purple today. Totally caught myself off guard:)

It's getting late for me and I should stop now...or already should have. hahaha

HA!! So you came into the conversation prepared for battle, sporting that tiara?! That's hilarious! Keep in mind that you can be organized, color within all the lines, be a perfectionist, and STILL be creative :o)

MsG - you may have to cream corn wrestle Miss Longshot for the OUTA LINE crown, if she gets any snappier. But from what I've seen, there are a few others around these parts clutching onto that crown rather tightly. Taking it away could be tough.

I'm working on my tiara, putting some thought into what it should be made of. But right now, I'm throwing on an orange sun dress and going to have my oil changed. ssssssss hot!

Bev-thank you for moving this thread up.

Shaney, I've been wondering where you are too. I haven't seen ou around anywhere. Should we be shining up our tiara's and saddle soaping and mink oiling our boxing gloves...?

And, by the way, what in the world is "cream corn wrestling"?

Hey there Longshot :o)

I haven't been around much, but just posted on lolli's thread about my old dog that isn't doing well. I've been consumed with that, in addition to a huge deadline at work - so there hasn't been much time for boxing or wrestling. It's been pretty quiet here it seems, now that I've had a chance to catch up a bit.

Cream corn? That's a MsGuided thing I guess. Every time I mention mud wrestling, she mentions replacing the mud with cream corn.

I'll talk to you later, Miss Tiara Thang :o)

Gotta get back to work..

Shaney, I'm sorry about your dog. I lost my 2 boxers in the last 6 months. One was 10, and the other 13, they were my girls.

I know about work deadlines...mine will start again Monday:)

Right back to you, you Tiara Wearin Diva!!!

Good GOD! How devastating for you to lose both of your pups in such a short span of time. It's so heartbreaking.

My old gal is 16, if you can believe that... and still plugging along it seems. We're just taking it one day at a time right now. Monday we thought we were going to have to take her in, then she ate a little on Tuesday, all of her food on Wednesday, and now she's got some energy again. So who knows - we're just keeping a close eye on her. BTW, she's quite snappy, and owns a tiara of her own. I have pictures. :o)

Happy Halloween Longshot :o}

I feel as if I've been wearing by battle tiara for a couple of months now, really. I can't shake it for some reason. There's too much going on I guess, and I'm tired of it all. And in reading your other thread, I'm sure you understand. I'm hoping that once I start up with yoga again, I can manage this tight feeling that seems to have been hanging on for quite some time. At this point I'm just trying to get through a day without beating anyone up!

My girl ate last night and this morning, so she's still plugging along. I have my metalsmithing class tomorrow and sunday, so I'll be gone all day both days. My h will be home from work, so he'll be there to keep an eye on her.

I AM worried about next week though. I'm scheduled to go and see my dad out of town from Wed to Sat. I just don't know if I should even consider going at this time. My h will be home the whole time, so my girl will be with him, but I just can't figure out at this point, if she's really winding down, or if she's just holding out to see which of the five homecooked meals I'm going to set in front of her? I set several things in front of her, in an attempt to get her to eat, at each feeding time. If she turns her nose up at one, then I make something else. By doing this, I'm ruining her potty cycle, in addition to possibly giving her stomach aches too.... but I'm just trying to get her to eat! It's so frustrating.

But I AM glad it's Friday :o)

Miss Bev - thanks for the hugs. If you can give Killer a kiss without losing a limb, kiss him for me :o)

I'm right there with you...about the time I get that Tiara off to put back in the box...I find it sitting right on top of my head again!!! (I even had the boxing gloves out the other night:o)!! (Thought my 17 year old and I were going to step into the ring!!!!)

Does she seem to lean toward any particular meal you're fixing or is it different each time?

I would be worried about leaving her too. It's so hard...they're such a part of the family. When I was going through the divorce from my sons dad, S (the one who was 13) slept on top of the covers in the bend of my knee. In the morning when she heard the clock go off, she'd just give me a look like "do you really expect ME to move??"

I know this is such a hard place for you to be in...too many things to deal with all at once...

Gosh, what is it about those 17 year olds? I remember thinking that I knew just about everything at 17 years old. No one could tell me anything that I didn't already know. It takes growing up to realized how wrong I really was.
In today's world, I think that they have that mentality PLUS they're spoiled beyond belief. It's a hard age. They're teetering between being an adult and a kid, so I imagine that there are a LOT of boundaries being pushed in an attempt to gain some independence. I don't have kids personally, but I see many of my friends going through a lot with their teens. I can't imagine, really.

Shaney (my dog) doesn't like the same thing two times in a row lately. This new behaviour presented itself a couple of months ago. That's when I started to cook her food. Even the best dog food I could buy, stopped working. She's definitely spoiled, but I think it's a combination of that, and then being just plain OLD. When they're that age, their organs have to work harder and harder to process food. When they're organs get tired, they lose the will to eat. That's what is so frustrating - she still gets me up at 5 in the morning to eat, and is visibly excited about it. In any case - I'll just keep after it until something changes. Thanks for the hugs.
