I am having a rather difficult time. My daughter has been ill this past year, and has already missed five days of school, she had a very high fever and stomach problems, I had to take her to Dr to get meds and was told to keep her home till her fever went to normal.

I gave our school the notes, and everything they asked for and i got a rather scarey letter in the mail from them telling me that they did not like her being absent...wanted me to contact their school counselor and if it happened again, action would be taken...

She missed five days! they said well school just started and that was just too many to miss, um..what do I do? They said that there were course of actions they would take here, if the problem continued, again what problem? She was sick, its the law that when a child is sick, you keep them home!

My god. I called the school and told them that It felt as if I were being harassed here, and they said well, she missed too much school.

I feel as if i am in the twight zone here..please someone helo me, me and my husband are just dumbfounded and can't understand this letter at all here.
