After browsing the recent thread on Evolution and the Recent thread on the SD abortion law, I thought it might be intersting to throw out a bit of political controversy that has been brewing for a few years.

Mind you, I find this group to be annoying in many ways...they are shrill in their gender politics, tastless in their publicity seeking, and tacky for copyrighting the phrase "Roe Vs Wade...for Men."

But it is an interesting subject that relates to the abortion debate.

WD...heard quite a bit of talk about this on the radio this past week. I agree, it is an interesting subject.

On the one hand, I feel that both a man and a woman should be responsible to care for any life that they create, whether planned or unplanned.

On the other hand, I feel that men really do not have a choice in the matter. If a woman decides to end the pregnancy, the father has no power to stop her, even if he wants the child and will care for the child. However, if the woman chooses to have the child, he does not have the right to disagree with her; he is obligated to pay support. It's a sticky situation...I don't agree than men should be allowed to force a woman to abort a child, or to have a child. It seems the women have all the choices, and men have none. I do see their point.

I just wish all people would practice better birth control, and we wouldn't have this problem so often!!!!! It really isn't that hard....

I'm not sure what I believe.

I do believe that better birth control methods for men will transform the issue. A simple pill would do it.

research on a pill for men has been being tested for a while now. the problem is sperm is so fragile. so far, nothing has come along that doesn't carry high risk for sterility.
