Heb 11:1

Now faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

As the scriptures says this is really what I believe fatih is.

Look at what OMW said so truely. Lets look at the here and now. This is the only thing that matters. Yesterday is history and tomorrow may never come.

Today is the day. Living in the NOW

For me God is also not a He or a She. God is a spirit and God is a Word to me if you read John 1 verse 1

Hi. Yes. But it does not reflect my beliefs or at least it does not express them the way I would. And I see a lot of "He," "Man" and "Men" in there... is that what you are talking about? To me, I would say rather than "the Word" - which is a human idea, that there was an energy. I find it really amusing that in Star Wars they call it the FORCE! Funny. George Lucas studied a bit of mythology and knew Joseph Campbel so he didn't just chose that lightly. Well done for pop culture! I prefer that to the actual words of the bible! I know I'm gonna get laughed at for that one! Actually, I have no "lingo" of my own because I do not adhere to the traditional religions.

While I believe one can read between the lines of the bible and look past the dated writing, i prefer not to focus on that book. It interests me as a piece of history and literature, and not much more. Certainly not as an expression of my spiritual beliefs... which can't be summed up here simply, but see god in nature and do not believe god and science are mutually exclusive.

I find a lot of judgement (from men, not god) in the bible and in the church. That, I could do without.

However, I have much respect for people who are able to live according to bible based faiths and use their faith to help them through the hard times, help them live to be the best people they can be, and all that is beautiful about any religion. I believe that the world religions all have that in them.

I need to go eat dinner, so excuse my lack of eloquence... I'm exhausted.

peace,
ella

you said

No, definately not. I look at it as spiritual. Spiritually I can be either a man or a woman. Nothing to do with me being female.

Love to you

But that how the passage is expressed (and that is only a small part of the bible) and it is hard for me to ignore.
