Hey MsGuided,

Was it you that offered a link about an organization - a world-wide organization with Bishop Desmond Tu-Tu (spelling?) and the Virgin records/air line guy about an organization of world folks getting together?

What is the name of that organization?

When I read what you posted, I joined to recieve updates but, for the life of me, I can't find that in my email box or from the thread here where you mentioned it.

Do you remember what I am talking about and if you do, would you mind telling me again the name/link of that organization?

Thanks in advance.

Oh yea. It's Called The Elders.

http://www.theelders.org

They're a fraction of the message. There's so much more, and other representatives out there, that are pushing for societal/world change.

All parts of the same direction and focus.

Richard Branson Is pissing me off lately. I'm questioning his influence a bit. His ego driven ( posting "racing cars" as a NYrs resolution?? WTF??) But I don't want to get into that now.

I need to get some movement/exercise in right now cause i'm feeling VERY BLAH today.

Peace and Be well!

Thanks for the link.

I checked it out for a little bit, but found with my anxiety right now -probably not the best time to look at something like this.

Did you see the movie with Bill Maher: "Religulous"?

I thought that there were some pretty interesting points........

Hi tBt!

No I haven't seen "Religulous" yet But I'm a BIG Maher fan!

We rarely go to the movies and our DVD player is broken. We just didn't feel like replacing it.

Guess what? It's on Google videos.
I'm watching it now.LOL

I love the internet!!

M,

Hey, I watched religulous too. Enjoyed it! I've heard religious types saying how much they hate Maher & his shtik. Funny thing is, he didn't attack anyone. Simply posed questions and each & every delusional religious person dug their own grave with their responses. Not a one of em armed with anything resembling reason. Poor folks. Don't know that they don't know! lol

Makes ya wonder what the hell is wrong with just saying 'I don't know'?

I remember Maher asking one particular fellow whether or not he believed in Santa Claus.

The reply: "No, of course not".

Maher: "Yea, how ridiculous. One guy going to every home in one night, dropping off gifts etc. But,..one guy listening to the murmurs of millions - now THAT I can see!" (not verbatim)

Neat that it's easily available online. It's said that the powers that be are working hard at gaining control of the internet. God forbid we have the means to access some truth!

Tbt - How you doin over there?

CC: I've never watched a movie on line. How would I find that to watch it?

"Makes ya wonder what the hell is wrong with just saying 'I don't know'?"

Precisely, my dear Watson.

I don't know.I do say THAT a LOT!

It doesn't hurt, or leave wounds.
I guess it's an "ego" thing.

Religulous was chalk full of ironies. I loved how Maher related to his Mom too.

OH!

SD! if you use Google video, That brings up almost everything on video under a title. You have to look at the details of what comes up, the minutes in particular, for full length versions.

Here it is.

(SD/surerly delightful)

I just typed in 'Religulous full movie' in the search bar of 'Google home page & 'Bingo' there it was with numerous links to choose from. I chose the 1hr 40min version as I wanted to watch the whole thing and not just excerpts.

I'm a Maher fan so, I knew what to expect and was pleased.

Another good one - 'The God delusion' Maybe you've already watched it by now? If so, did you enjoy??

Cc,

I'm OK. Thanks for asking. Glad you enjoyed the movie.

Have you ever watched the movie: "Borat" with Sacha Baron Cohen?

Funniest movie I have seen in a long, long time!!!!! Didn't care too much for the movie "Bruno", though. Hard act to follow, I reckon.

I try not to miss a single show of Comedy Central's: "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Cobert Report" Ever watch it?

I thought Stewart made an excellent point recently regarding the awful, horrible devastation in Haiti.

He showed a clip of the Pat Roberts show in which this clown had the audacity to allude that somehow the Haitian people had actually asked for it!!!

Can you believe that??????

Something along the lines of the voodoo there or something. I can't remember exactly. Something about a pact with the devil.

Then Stewart referenced several comforting and uplifting verses in the bible which would had been better suited for Robertson to offer support to those suffering in Haiti - but no, he took this opportunity to somehow want to place blame on these folks and further his agenda.

Incredible. Absolutely incredible!!

Luckily, comedy seems to be the perfect venue to expose such utter idiocy and Stewart & Cobert do an excellent job at it!!!! (IMO)

A tele evangelist. THE WORST KIND!
I truly think these false priests are psychopaths. They see an opportunity to feed there Narcissistic needs and they prey on the Biblically brainwashed. They'll latch on the "sinner" concept and say "those people deserve what they get!

Ha! The innocents? 38% of Haitis population are CHILDREN! They are totally vulnerable. Not enough adults to take care of them and everyone is poorer than poor. Some get sold for 100 bucks to slave labour or child prostitution. Robertson makes comments like that about a people who were abused and taken advantage by corrupt governments and leaders.

I like Stewart and Colbert too but I am limiting my TV gazing.

I don't think my life will get better if i waste time now on the tube. Besides i find more truth on the net, and if i need to switch to inspirational it's a clik away. I also have to get involved more with real human contact.

I think any leader who is worth their weight would only talk and ACT peace. Not attack the vulnerable and poor. Looks like there isn't much of that around including Obama. he's all talk. Just conning everyone.

I bumped your thread tBt. I'm curious how you're doing and if you thought about the whole picture. Let us know.

Be Well!

>>10 stupid quotes from Pat Robertson

10. "Lord, give us righteous judges who will not try to legislate and dominate this society. Take control, Lord! We ask for additional vacancies on the court." –Pat Robertson

9. "Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It's no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media and the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history." –Pat Robertson

8. "I would warn Orlando that you're right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don't think I'd be waving those flags in God's face if I were you, This is not a message of hate -- this is a message of redemption. But a condition like this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It'll bring about terrorist bombs; it'll bring earthquakes, tornadoes, and possibly a meteor." –Pat Robertson, on "gay days" at Disneyworld

7. "(T)he feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians." –Pat Robertson

6. "I know this is painful for the ladies to hear, but if you get married, you have accepted the headship of a man, your husband. Christ is the head of the household and the husband is the head of the wife, and that's the way it is, period." –Pat Robertson

5. "I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God, you just rejected him from your city. And don't wonder why he hasn't helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that's the case, don't ask for his help because he might not be there." --Pat Robertson, after the city of Dover, Pennsylvania voted to boot the current school board, which instituted an intelligent design policy that led to a federal trial

4. "God considers this land to be his. You read the Bible and he says 'This is my land,' and for any prime minister of Israel who decides he is going to carve it up and give it away, God says, 'No, this is mine.' ... He was dividing God's land. And I would say, 'Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the E.U., the United Nations, or the United States of America.' God says, 'This land belongs to me. You better leave it alone.'" --Pat Robertson, on why Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon suffered a massive stroke

3. "Maybe we need a very small nuke thrown off on Foggy Bottom to shake things up" –Pat Robertson, on nuking the State Department

2. "You know, I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war ... We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don't need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with." –Pat Robertson, calling for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez

1. "It may be a blessing in disguise. ... Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. Haitians were originally under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon the third, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, we will serve you if you will get us free from the French. True story. And so, the devil said, okay it's a deal. Ever since they have been cursed by one thing after the other." –Pat Robertson, on the earthquake in Haiti that destroyed the capital and killed tens of thousands of people, Jan. 13, 2010< < http://politicalhumor.about.co.....ertson.htm

The guy is a MORON. But it works for him and the masses who follow.

I thouroughly enjoyed Dawkins " God Delusion" specifically "The Root of All Evil_The Virus of Faith'

How Children are indoctrinated and not taught evolution: the earth is 40 billion yrs old, NOT 5000, for example. It's pretty insidious!

Those kids haven't a chance!

Tbt,

Glad you're ok.

I remember practically laughing myself to tears at 'Borat" when it came out. I agree with your take on 'Bruno' as well. Lame by comparison. Lame overall & not because I'm a homophobe or anything. Just didn't work for me. I must be missin sumthin? Cohen's a funny guy 4 sure. Get a kick out of his ol' 'Ali-G' routine also.

I don't watch a whole lot of TV but, I do quite enjoy 'Stewart' & 'Colbert' when I catch em on every now & again.

You said:

"Luckily, comedy seems to be the perfect venue to expose such utter idiocy and Stewart & Cobert do an excellent job at it!!!! (IMO)"

Yep, 2 of the best mainstream media shows I've run across for satirical comedy. Good that there are a growing number of people wanting more of that kind of stuff as opposed to watching, say - televangelists. I'm pleasantly surprised that as many folks watch them as do. Maybe there's hope for mankind!? lol

My Mom had actually mentioned to me yesterday that she heard something about some religious nut spouting nasty things re-the Haitians deserving what they'd got. Didn't hear who or where but, now I'll check out that link you'd sent. Thx

M,

That Uncle 'Pat' is a real piece o work, isn't he?! Doesn't have the sense God gave a goose. Pour dum sum bitch aint even suspicious! But, he has sparkling stage presence, doesn't he? No, wait - that was someone else. ha! I'm sure there will no shortage of bizarre quotes to come from his neck in the future.

Nevermind Pres Hugo Chavez, a 50 cent slug would cure what ails Robertson & annoys sensible folk, I think. lol

Can't argue with quote #6 tho, huh? hehe 🙂

The Biblical quote is: Christ is the head of the Church. He couldn't get that right either unless the publisher of those quotes didn't proof read.

>>>Where do we get the word Church?

Circe was an ancient Greek goddess who could hypnotize men, bring them into her house, and turn them into animals -- taking their minds away, so that they could support and feed her.

She was known as "Mother Circe," and her worship was brought to medieval Scotland, in whose language Circe became "Kirk."

The Scottish word "Kirk" becomes "Church" in English< << What does that imply? Over thousands of years this ancient Goddess morphed into the Church. Does the Church hypnotize and take the minds away from Catholics and Xtians? It comes from this page; http://www.jordanmaxwell.com/a.....ion18.html

The same page explains where the word "Hell" originated from.

It's amazing what thousands of years of brutality, exerted by the ruling class and religion, can do to PAGAN beliefs that were so innocent and benign.

Lots live in the grips of Fear, under a system that is totally made up!
