looking for books or articles on this subject ... anyone know of any? Subject is masks people wear to disguise what they are really feeling.

I don't know but I know one when I see one. Know why? Because I don't wear them, and when i'm with someone who does, I think to myself "Oops forgot my mask. Now, who am I today?"

I don't have a need for a mask anymore. I don't have to hide. Truth is the most bitter pill to swallow. But time will mend my wounds and the mask I used to wear will be a part of my past.

i am tryin to tear that mask off and be gone from it forever . this isnt easy and cant be done alone .after all these years i fnlly realize the personi thought was so cool isnt. and must be the biggest jackass i know. but all in all dont try to do things alone accept critisism and b resposible for what you have done while wearing the masks, because as my mom used to tell me the goodlord will take care of those who take care of them selves, i guess its like footprints ,he is always lifting us we just have to reralize it.

I like wearing masks. When you know what you're doing, masks can be a great help and a protection for oneself or others - or good fun to try out something different. But when the mask tries to wear you - that can get really tough (good girl, passionate lover, reliable friend, career woman....).
