Love came,
and became like blood in my body.
It rushed through my veins and
encircled my heart.
Everywhere I looked,
I saw one thing.
The Beloved's name written
on my limbs,
on my left palm,
on my forehead,
on the back of my neck,
on my right big toe…
Oh, my friend,
all that you see of me
is just a shell,
and the rest belongs to the Beloved.

There is a certain Love

that is formed out of the
elixir of the East.

There is a certain cloud,

impregnated with a
thousand lightnings.

There is my body,

in it an ocean formed of his glory,

all the creation,

all the universes,

all the galaxies,

are lost in it.

I swallowed

some of the Beloved's sweet wine,
and now I am ill.

My body aches,
my fever is high.

They called in the Doctor and he said,
drink this tea!

Ok, time to drink this tea.

Take these pills!

Ok, time to take these pills.

The Doctor said, get rid of the sweet wine of his lips!

Ok, time to get rid of the doctor.

Hi TruthBtold,

I wish I had written this stuff.

It's an Islamic teaching.

These are not Islamic teachings. Did Mohammed say that? If he didnt and he did NOT, its not an Islamic teaching.

Rume was a nice guy. He was'nt an accurate Muslim. WD is copy pasting stuff from this site:

http://www.rumi.net/rumi_poems_main.htm

Here are some more teachings of Islam:

-------------------

Sahih Muslim Book 001, Number 0066

Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri: The people asked the Messenger of Allah (peace_be_upon_him): Can we perform ablution out of the well of Buda'ah, which is a well into which menstrual clothes, dead dogs and stinking things were thrown? He replied: Water is pure and is not defiled by anything.

-----------

Now this is REALLY a teaching of Islam, because Mohammed said this, the founder of Islam; not Rumi, some mild sufi poet.

Who was the beloved? Mohammed, the pedophile who had sex with 9 year old Aisha? Or Allah who swore in the Quran many times to fill the bodies of non-Muslims with boiling water on the day of judgement?

Hi guest,

Thank you for your characteristic and predictable injection of hate-speech, bigotry, violence and foul language into a conversation about Love.

I have said it before, and I will say it again.

The education and training you have received about Islam, about Christianity and about Spiritual Practices in general has been very narrow. That leaves you a very reactive and hostile person--not exactly a poster child for the virtues of Atheism. Your bigotry against Native American traditions is also distasteful to me.

I am once again suggesting that you would be most helpful to conversations like this one either by remaining silent or by actually contributing to the subject at hand.

Dear WD,

I know you speak of the Beloved you so miss.

My heart aches for you my friend, but also has a great deal of love and hope for you as well. For so long, you thought such a love not possible. I rejoiced you found it exists. My dear, loving man... you will find it again.

I, too, have ached that 1,000 aches where you feel your very limbs are coming apart & your heart being ripped from your chest. Believed I could never feel again... actually sought to achieve that end to prevent further hurt. I have learned there is Hope and there is potential out there. To squash your heart & not love again or at least have hope of loving again, will launch you into a black pit of hopelessness. We must not give up on Hope... it is our salvation.

There is someone out there, waiting for you... to love you as you love them.

Have Hope WD.
Know that you are loved by a far away friend.

((( WD )))

WD, Rumi is obviously talking about Allah, the Muslim God - is he not?

----------

There is my body,

in it an ocean formed of his glory,

all the creation,

all the universes,

all the galaxies,

are lost in it.

----------

He made this poem of love about Allah, the God who will torture non-Muslims in Hellfire.

Is it alright for me to post a love poem from a girl who loved Hitler? I dont think so. I think its disturbing, is it not?

Remember the Hitler analogy. If you think its ok to read that girl's poem - you have to know the intent and the real story behind the poem.
