Hello. I am new to the site.

I stumbled across this site while looking for resources and info on child molestation and/or sex addiction. I am currently doing research on the topics hoping to use my work (photographer) to bring about awareness and healing.

I am not a sex addict myself but a victim of an incest perpatrador hoping to save others from the torment of experiences like mine.

Any recovering sex addicts that would like to contribute info? Victims with insight that you want to share?

I would be happy to further explain my objectives to anyone interested.

Thanks.

blackbird,

Yeah, how would one use photos to bring about awareness of sexual abuse/addiction? And what kind of photos are these? Maybe my mind is in the wrong place.

Just curious,
Amanda

blackbird,

type sex addiction into the search slot and you may find stuff there. Or put counseling and then look at the boards for sex additions.

I do hope you use your work to make folks aware. It is something that needs to have stiffer laws, etc.

Good luck w/ your work.

I second Amanda's questions above. What type of pics and what would you use them for?

I can appreciate that question. I am learning through my research that there are many people that suffer from sexual addiction and their "acting out" behavior have severe consequences on all involved. Many people suffer in silence because the nature of the addiction is both taboo in our society and embarrassing to talk about (not to mention the DENIAL they experience- not unlike alcoholics). Maybe someone will let me tell there story . . . take their picture . . . put a face with the pain so that others can see that they aren't alone and feel encouraged to seek help. The pictures would unfold with the story but would in no way be exploitive in nature - just honest.
