The 'L I T T L E' things .
As you might know, the head of a company survived 9/11 because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off in time.
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident.
One of them missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change.
One's car wouldn't start.
One went back to answer the telephone.
One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.
One couldn't get a taxi.
The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed
a blister on his foot.He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.That is why he is alive today.
Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone... all the little things that annoy me.
I think to myself, this is exactly where
God wants me to be at this very moment..
Next time your morning seems to be
going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated; God is at work watching over you.
May God continue to bless you with all those annoying little things and may you remember their possible purpose.
AMEN

"Next time your morning seems to be going wrong, the children are slow getting dressed, you can't seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated; God is at work watching over you."
So does that mean that God just decided it was fine for the other 3000 some odd people to get to work on time and die but that God in his divine wisdom saw fit that one woman dump coffee on herself or another person to get stuck in traffic?
It's total crap to use this philosophy in reference to the tragedy of 911. Complete and utter crap.

I am very shocked, outraged and offended by that post, feelinglost. It seems to imply a horrific lack of human feeling & sympathy with the victims, their families & friends. Do you really believe that some 'god' actually 'wanted' all those poor victims to be exactly where they were to suffer such horrific, untimely deaths???!!!
Thank Goodness and Love that I don't believe in such a sadistic 'god' any more.
Sorry if this post hurts you, fl, but I was expecting something uplifting when I clicked on this thread (I'm having a really hard time in dark depression these days) and am physically shaking at the smugness & lack of empathy. And then America goes on to kill far, far more people of its own, besides innocent peasants abroad, in pursuit of oil wealth & world domination - while pretending that killing & maiming by sheer bully-power is a 'war on terror'. War OF terror, more like! What a world :(((
Sigh. Weep. Blessings of peace & heartfelt concern for others, especially those less fortunate than us - gazelle.

hey feelinglost I agree with you, one guy I know was waiting at the bowling hour for over an hour to pay his bill because their was a new person and everything was screwed up. So he bought a lottery ticket while he was waiting and it ended up being the winner and he won a couple of million dollars.
I don't believe their are accidents really, everything happens for a reason even when we don't know why or for what reason...sometimes we never know.
I think it was tragic that all of the people who died on 911. I do believe they are all in a better place. I do believe that we all have our time to go, and none of us know how why or when. Death is always tragic.
But I also wonder alot of times like you...alot of traffic or whatever...may be for a reason beyond our knowledge.

Sorry for that last angry outburst of "get a life", taj. In the interest of good communication and working through issues, here is what I should have posted:
Taj, what is your specific issue with me? I feel like you are following me from thread to thread to attack me and belittle me. Please explain.

September 30, 2010

I did not attack you. I said it was a ridiculous comment. My opinion is that. Your opinion related to something that was not about what Feeling Lost was trying to send to other. I have a life. You seem to want to control the threads when I see you post. You often come across to me as an angry person. But this is not the purpose of this thread. I did not agee with the post, I should have worded it to read I didn't agree. I don't agree that I attacked you. This is all I will say on the post because that is not what I believe Feeling Lost was trying to see. It was about how the higher power puts you where he needs to and that we trust in it. It was not to raise a political issue. Telling me to get a life is attack.

"Those are the most ridiculous comments I have heard so far other than the long thread with comment to Kathy from Gingerleigh."
That is an attack, Taj.
And I apologized for telling you to get a life.
"You seem to want to control the threads when I see you post. You often come across to me as an angry person."
These are judgments on your part, Taj, not "opinions". Don't hide behind the word "opinion" to pass your judgements on me. And yes, I'm angry, at YOU for attacking and judging me.

This comes across as angry. Im sorry but that is the way I feel. I am sorry if you feel I attacked you. I attacked the post, not the person.
The control part is this comment,SC, could you move this one to Libs? The message I heard from original post was that there is a reason why things happen and for us to trust. Your part is to control the thread by speaking out angrily and turning into debate and then have all to read that this is something that is too risky for others to read. I am not following you around on threads. I should have left that comment about the other thread, that was separate from this thread, so I apologize but I still feel your angry tone sometimes. So I guess that is a judgment and not an opinion. Im not sure of the difference now. I feel lost when I hear that.

"Your part is to control the thread by speaking out angrily and turning into debate and then have all to read that this is something that is too risky for others to read."
That's not where I was coming from. Anyone can read the Libs threads. So I'm not protecting anyone from something "risky". This sort of post which is philosophical in nature and is not asking for support belongs over on libs. Not in support. Do you see the difference?
Aside from that, yes, the original post makes me angry because it implies that the people who were saved from 911 due to the "little things" were saved because God was watching out for them. So where was God for the other people who weren't so lucky? The original post would be little comfort to someone who lost their husband or daughter in 911.
It's not the point of submitting to the wisdom of God/HP that I object to. It's using the example of avoiding the 911 disaster that makes me angry. YES, ANGRY. Can you see why?

September 30, 2010

No, sorry but I enjoyed the post. I saw it as miracles that happened after a tragedy. I can see that it does belong on lib because of its reference to religion but not because avoiding 911 disaster. The way I saw it was that you wanted it to go to the lib because you were angry with it but to me I didn't see the post as angry in tone. Im sorry but I suppose I don't understand you. I cannot understand everyone, nor can everyone understand me. I honestly do not think this post was meant to set off anger.

I do understand what you are saying and I feel badly.I am not extremely religious. I just thought the overall meaning was nice but I also see your point too.
That's what I love about this site, it gives us all the ability to look at things from a different point of view. I value your opinion just as much as anyone else's and I am sorry if you perceived me as being thoughtless... Not my intention. But thank you for showing me another way to look at another meaning.
Hugs, Lost

No it was not thoughtless because I appreciated it and so did others. Again that is your opinion. You were hurt but some of us were not. What does hurt, is having felt that I say the wrong things to you but I don't know how else when I just speak of the way I feel. It is as if they cannot be validated with you. Im highly codendency and sensitive. So yes I was hurt by this. I believe feeling lost should not be hurt either or critized for sending this. I enjoyed her post.

Hey everybody,
I am going to move this thread.
I feel it has a religious air to it, and therefore belongs on the liberation brew side.
Please keep prayers and other religious support posts on the liberation brew side... my aplogies, but this is necessary to keep religion separate from the support threads.
Thanks & Peace & Love, Site Coordinator
