Is the Spaghetti Monster related to the Cookie Monster? Aren't they in the same genus? I'm asking you -- you're the life scientist.

Funny that you should say that. A few months ago, I was staggered to hear the top astrophysicist priest(cardinal perhaps?)in charge of Vatican sponsored astro physics research state that when the Christian God created the 'big bang' He had no fore knowledge of what would ensue?

WOW! If the rest of Christianity catches up with him, then there goes God's 'omniscience' down the drain. On the other hand maybe the priest's job tenure may be severely truncated.
