Site Coordinador. The URL quoted above doesn't appear to exist anymore.

Is this the news issue that you are talking about:

"Gay Rights Reversal - (FREDERICK COUNTY) -- Frederick County's Human Rights Commission chairman is reversing his position on gay rights. Edward Jenkins says that after much soul-searching, he now opposes protecting homosexuals from employment and housing discrimination. Just last week, County Commissioner John Thompson said employers should be allowed to fire both homosexuals and adulterers. "

I admit that I am homophobic and I further admit that it is irrational to feel that way. It comes from my nasty harrassment experiences by homosexuals in my adolescence. I wish that I could accept what I know is their right to express their sexuality in their own way without discrimination based on this preference.

I do not agree with the theory that all homophobic people are latent homosexuals. In my case nothing could be further from the truth.

As for discriminating against adulterers, well ... what does your president think about that? 🙂

Why should your sexual preference matter in your work life? Adult sex life should be keep private. I do not like the way some gay people think when it comes to these topics. I dont believe gay people-or lesbians should be allowed to raise children, I do not believe they should get advantages in their jobs or careers, they should not compare their discrimination to the discriminations of black people, they should not think they deserve extra or special treatment. If you want to get so called married, fine, why do I have to know about it. I think gays and lesbians have an identity problem. The men want to be women, the women want to be men. Unless they are atheists, how do they justify the moral aspects of their practices? I do not hate gays nor lesbians, I dislike their practice. Another thing, why must they throw their sexual preference in my face. I do not have to accept their lifestyle, not do I have to know about it either. They wear it like it's a badge of honor. It should be a badge of shame and disgrace.

All I can say about that article, SC, is that my fiance' and I have been living together for nearly 6 years and we have 2 children together, but my insurance policy (FOR MEDICAL AND DENTAL) at work will never cover him before we are married. However, you can have anyone you want listed as a beneficiary for life insurance policy.

Tez,

I just tried the URL, still working here...

let me know, because I'm posting these kinds of controversial articles here for interested readers, and would help to know if the URL's aren't working, or are short lived.

Thanks, SC

SC. Yep! I found the site. Must have been finger trouble with all those digits when I cut and pasted the URL. 🙂 I will carefully peruse the article and get back to this thread later. Thanks
