Is masturbation sinful?

Hell NO!!!!!!!

I do it about 4 or 5 times a week......nature's natural stress reliever - - and you wouldn't believe how clear my complexion gets and how it clears my eyes!!!!!!!!!!

Masturbation............

(As Martha Stewart would probably say.......is a GOOD THING!!!!!)

🙂

(ain't no shame.........)

Here's a song, that, while full of 'turps', I sang over the microphone in an air force mess(boozer). Little did I realize that the microphone was connected to the loud speaker system that went through the dry canteen where all the wives and families were, not to mention the rest of the air force base.

The song is sung to the tune of that famous old Italian song called Faniculi Fanicula

"Masturbate yourself. It does you good! It does you good!

Tease it, squeeze it, bash it on the floor.

Mash it, thrash it, jamm it in the door.

It does you good, it does you gooddeeee ...

Masturbate yourself. It does you good! It does you good!"

.... and a few more choruses like that.

The next morning all hung over, sick, seedy and feeling sorry for myself, I couldn't work out why all the WAAFs (Women's Auxiliary air Force)were grinning at me and enquiring after my health.

With great jocularity, one of my buddies told me about my having serenaded the whole RAAF base over the PA system with my masturbation song.

I think I was rightfully dubbed a 'wanker' after that... With my tail between my legs I found a place to curl up and die.

I'm sure the base Padre was most impressed with me.

Very funny gang. This should be the "we are all going to hell" thread.

If a person doesn't masterbate, how do they know how to tell their sexual partner how to please them?

Hmmm!

There is no hell. The only hell would be one in which there were hiccups and no masturbation.

Hell would be having to attend the latin mass for all eternity while all the popes that ever lived were regurgitating their verbal diahorrea while dishing out penance with whips made of barbed wire and masturbating at the same time.

Boyo, would the floor be slippery!

The nekked girls wouldn't want to fall on their fannies or they would end up having immaculate conception by 'artificial' insemination - minus the fun that goes with it.

Hi Folks: What a conversation lol...
I heard this message on the radio one night and here is a link to the broadcast. Joshua Harris talks about masterbation.
Here is a link to Family Life

http://www.familylife.com/flto.....sp?id=9209 4/15/2007

Due to the sensitive and explicit sexual nature of this special web version of the FamilyLife Today broadcast with Joshua Harris, we recommend parents listen to the show to determine if it is suitable for their children to hear.
Maintaining Purity in an Impure World

Finding the Power to Change (Day 2)

Hope this helps!!

Might help if I spelled right.
I guess it is confusing with what some of you are saying. What about the scripture that says... (Matthew 5:27-28 )
You have heard it said do not commit adultery. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already commited adultery with her in his heart.
????? Just wandering...

I don't think God intends to push himself off on anyone it is a choice you make to follow Him.

Angel Heart (AH)

"I don't think God intends to push himself off on anyone it is a choice you make to follow Him."

The same applies to to the Tooth Fairy, Father Christmas, Baal, Zeus, Thor, Medusa, Allah, Yehweh, Jehovah, Batman, the Phantom, and all other figments of the human imagination.

RIGHT. Follow God or burn in Hell. What a nice choice. You know what AngelHeart, read my post 120 times or I'll, umm.. I'll gently twist your arm. I gave you a choice.

So you still think God has given us a "choice"?

Hehe bevdee, nice description of hell, add computer and internet to that list and no cable TV or Dorritos too

Well if you do not believe in God you don't have to belive in Hell.
Do you believe there is a hell? Do you believe there is a God?
It is kind of like... I can believe you will twist my arm if I don't read your post or I can believe you really don't exist because I can't see you therefore you can't twist my arm.
lol Besides maybe I do not have an arm. Sorry long day... bad joke...

Hi lewis~

sinful? I think that depends on what religion, if any, that one adheres to.

natural? most definitely.

My thoughts regarding masturbation are that there are those who do it, and those who lie about it. :0

i have no need or desire for sex, and I am not lying either...I just don't bother anymore...I do however have a good relationship with my hubby..there is more to life than sex and to a marriage too.

If it is sinful, then a majority of the people in the worlds are sinners. But aren't we all anyway, accordinging to most christian religions?

I think sex is an important part of people's lives and health. No, I do not believe it is a sin...but then most things today are considered a sin! Yes, alot of us don't talk about masturbation because we were taught that it was bad or shameful. I see nothing wrong with it, it makes you feel good, reduces stress, and it is a natural thing to do. And there is that saying...use it or lose it!

Sex is just a small part of what binds us in a marriage, I believe...it is learning to accept and tolerate and appreciate who we are and who our spouse is..there is so much more to life than sex, I have no idea why people find sex sooo great or wonderful, to me it was a chore and time consuming. There are so much more to a person than their genitals, of course if that is what makes you happy go for it you know? But there is a whole world out there, things you two can do to be close and be fulfilled and happy with...sex also is not comfortable for me...I was always waiting for it to be over...again a waste of time in my opinion...i also had breathing problems too, and I hate that...i like to breathe...

TO EACH THEIR OWN PLEASE!

I think I would build on Randomwoman's response. It wouldn't be the actual masturbation, itself, which might pose a "sin" issue, but the fantasies ("...what is on your mind..." as Random said) that might. A married couple, engaging in mutually consentual masturbation? No problem whatsoever, provided their thoughts are on ONE ANOTHER. Now...if they were fantasizing about someone, other than their marriage partner, that would be a problem within my own faith system.

lewis,

this debate brewed over here for a while.

it would seem, that based on what people believe and what others believe - based on internet searches....

that A) either it's not in most people's mind.

or

B) the act isn't sinful - it's what's on your mind - as everyone here said.

certain things like "lust" are a sin - so if you are thinking lusty thoughts about someone while doing it - then the lust is the sin.

so, if you can do it "mechanically" without fantasizing - then my guess/opinion is that no, it's not a sin.
