Ok Bevdee I see you're trying to say something to me.

Well here they are. The insights, all at once.

All thinking men are atheists. — Ernest Hemingway

The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one. — George Bernard Shaw

Not only is there no god, but try getting a plumber on weekends. — Woody Allen

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. — Edward Gibbon

Guest,

I found that site, too, with the quotes from famous athiests. There were 10, right?

If YOU were to have begun this thread, with the intention of helping others, do you think people would try to bring you down for it?

Did people go on your dating thread and ridicule you for your beliefs about yourself? On the contrary. People tried to support you.

I won't join you in tearing Tez down. No matter how compelling you try to make your arguments, it's your intention I disagree with. It's not your message. It's the intention of your message. I did, however, go to the website you made and look at it.

Aren't all of us battling enough already? Don't most of us at this site come from fucked up homes, where we were shamed, beaten, humiliated, or otherwise abused? I know I still struggle every day with self acceptance.

Guest, please hear me when I say that I wish you peace. And understand that I'm writing this because I care, and as usual, I have no date tonight! Well, maybe I would if I were willing to take a chance, but I'm okay on my own for now.

I'm glad that your friend emailed you back. Wishing you well.

Yea I found it from the same site.

>> If YOU were to have begun this thread, with the intention of helping others, do you think people would try to bring you down for it?

Well you know its no use arguing so I'll just say "bleah".

And, are you saying if someone came here and started quoting Hitler and saying how wise he was, then we shouldnt oppose him because we should be supportive? Nope.

I'm not tearing down anyone or anything. I'm setting the record straight. I'm making sure people know both sides of the story and lastly, the Support side exists elsewhere. This it the Lib Brew. People can take it.

Dont be too critical now of my criticism and no, I dont trust you, I'm sorry. I see you getting friendly with me in one post and hating on me in the other so no. I'm fine as I am without your support, thank you.

"Support side exists elsewhere. This it the Lib Brew. People can take it."

Can they?

I believe this is true, but it doesn't stop people that post here from crying "attack" onc in a while, does it dude?

I dont know what you're saying.

Ok ONCE again, is your username TEZ? If its not, then why are you finding an issue with what I'm saying to Tez? Is he like, 4 years old?

Whatsup? I smell co-dependency - defending a person when they have not asked for your help. Whe you assume they have to be defended because they cant do it on their own.

If you have any concerns about what I said to YOU, about YOU, then please go ahead. Otherwise I'd suggest you ignore what I'm saying to other people.

Ok this is my last response here unless its something important.

Guest,

If I have seemed to be "hating on you" in another thread, that was not my intention. I believe that I have owned up to being frustrated with you and have taken responsibility for it.

You have made your points in your efforts to "set the record straight". Not once, not twice, but over and over and over - pushing people to respond. That's beyond "setting the record straight". If I were to go back through that thread and copy and paste every instance of the same or similar points, it would be evident. You will continue to deny it, I suppose, but your target is Tez.

Okay, it's true. I'm all up in your business right now, and people generally don't appreciate that. In my experience, they usually dig their heels in deeper.

You wrote that we would remain Tez' sheep. Well, I'm not a sheep. I appreciate many of the insights that are posted on that thread. My support is for all of us trying to live in peace and find our way.

My grandmother, who lived to be over 100 years old, didn't accept everything in the Catholic religion, but she said a little prayer to Jesus every day and advised me to do the same. She was a remarkable woman, who had many tragedies in her life yet remained open and generous and grateful. I didn't feel it necessary to hammer away at the atrocities in Catholic history when I was with her.

I still do support you in finding peace and happiness. I have been in struggles before with people on this site, and I've tried to learn from them. But I still have so much to learn.

Take care, Guest.

Gosh My BAD!!

Did either of your posts in this thread say

"Tez,

blablabla."

No.

My earlier response to you was as I posted in quotations.

This is what I meant be people crying attack. In case you had forgotten.

Shaney, maybe you're unable to separate the issue from the person you're talking to. Well I can. Going against what Tez is saying doesnt mean I'll put pins his his doll or something.

Bevdee, its really no use. Like I said, you've made up your mind to disagree on this and you'll never agree.

Ok, so stop it guys. Stop frikking ganging up on me. Leave me alone.

You're not going to get a response next time if its not worth responding or if I dont see any objectivity. Take your personal attacks somewhere else.

You don't have to respond to me either, do you?

MaryP,

I'm not sure what kind of insights you were seeking, but I always like to read about the early pioneer women, suffragettes, ground-breakers. They paved the way for us women today, for the freedoms we take for granted. They had so much more to fight against- society wrapped in a religion.

"In the early days of woman-suffrage agitation, I saw that the greatest obstacle we had to overcome was the bible. It was hurled at us on every side."

Elizabeth Cady Stanton

Ok dont worry, that "attack" thing was adressed to Shaney actually because she had been mean to me before. And then she came barging in on the Lama thread telling me stop when she should be minding her own business.

Ok I dont see whats the problem here. I'm balancing the "insights" of the Dalai Lama and I'm having a good time doing it. Someone's gotta expose the truth right? Its me.

So whats up. Now both of you stop telling me what I should say to Tez and what I should not, alright. Mind your own businesses, that especialy goes for you, BAM.

Okay, Guest.

Bev,
Thank you for your post to me. I agree that those women are inspiring.
I'm going to go enjoy my roaring fire, wrap gifts, and watch a movie.
Peace and love to you, Bev.

Hey G_,

I'm not trying to keep this vendetta, this gangland feud going, cause it's gotten real out of hand IMHO. (Not to be confused with EMHO). But G_??? you can say that I am codependent, rather than observant, when I pointed out that you seemed to me to bait Tez. We could get into a whole nother discussion about codep, which is not truly a diagnosis,it's only a newly emerging theory, so using that word to label me or anyone else that you have never met in person, and you are not a psychologist, (are you?) , is again unscientific. In lay terms, you just pulled it out ya ass.

You did not, however, express any concern about my codep levels a week or so ago, when I defended your right to post anything in the Dalai Lama thread. When I sort of took up for you when you were being told to get off the thread.

Wonder why that is? That you didn't point the codep finger when I spoke up for you? I was thanked by you for the positivity.

Nothing has gotten out of hand. I'm balancing the insights. What else am I doing? Nothing. End of story. Forget everything else. I dont remember what happened. All I care about is balancing the insights, lol.

I'm going to bed now.

Bevdee

>> This is just an assumption. "Here when you quoted this saying for me:" - I quoted that for me, and to share with MaryP. I was thinking of Xtianity.

Really? You were thinking of Christianity? How so? No you were not, do you think I'm that dumb? 1. Explain that.

>> In this thread, I quoted the dictionary on extrapolation in response to Tez's post about Grunfeld.

Not true and you know it. 2. Explain why you quoted "extrapolation" here in response to what Tez said. You're lying Bevdee. Sorry. You're being dishonest and trollish. You think I'm that dumb?

>> Why do I have to answer your questions when you won't return the courtesy of answering mine?

3. What question did you ask about Serfdom that I didnt respond to?

>> So, I wondered if the season gets you down. Does it?

How is that of any importance here? Are the low gas prices making you PMS real bad? How does it feel to get personally attacked like that, Bevdee? So um yea - stop it and STICK TO THE ISSUE. Even if I actually have rats up my behind, you shouldnt worry about that or ask me, unless I ask you how to deal with it.

>> How did you extrapolate my concern for women of all cultures into racism?

Once again, I'm not that dumb.

>> There are other ways to give. I donate myself, my time.

Like I SAID, only a moron would thikn that giving donations of any kind to causes is a prerequisite to having critical opinions of Dalai Lama or anything else for that matter. It was you who brought in the subject, telling me I should not worry about Dalai Lama and should instead donate money to charity and help out people globally. Why dont you stop posting here and instead adopt an orphan and spend your time there instead of bickering with me over nothing?

You can ignore everything else but respond to points 1, 2 and 3.

My reply above to Bevdee was posted in this thread by mistake. It should be in the Dalai Lama thread.

Ok I apologize, Mary pointed out the guidelines for me. I forgot they applied to the Libs side too. I'll be more careful.

Great Stuff!!!!!
