Bitsikins: Wait til you get my age before you start cryin', for cryin' out loud! Just kidding of course. You are young, kiddo. Not to minimize what you're feeling, and I know you've been pretty down lately, but this too shall pass. Try not to pressure yourself about what you should have by now, where you should be, etc. Things will happen when they happen and you can't force them. I think we try to think that if I were to have this or that happening in my life THEN I would be happy. But maybe there's a time when you thought if only I had a child I would be happy- and now you do! Try to think of the good things you have in your life instead of what you don't have. AND try not to compare yourself to other people and measure yourself by what they do or have. We are all different.

What sd said was spot on! About her age! HAaaaaaa! She knows by now I'm a rib jabber.
But seriously, it's good stuff.
Firstly, what happened today that set you off like this. Work, Cat, the x, or old demons?
Tell yourself the opposite. Your attractive, worthwhile, smart, sensitive, caring and sweet!
This is tonight! It's a down swing. Self care a bit.
Watch an affirmation video, or google an affirmation site. That's what i do. I start looking outward for inspiration if i can't do it myself.Sometimes I watch the David attenborough Planet earth or life series videos.
Here's a link;

It takes a lot of work for us to feel better with our present financial state( unrelenting) but it can be done. It's difficult but once you find the tools to switch the depressing thoughts to positive ones it starts getting easier to have more good days. Exercise too. Ya gotta move your body and get those endorphins flowing. MP suggested "toys".
Whatever it takes to ease or jumpstart ya back to feeling good.
Be well!

Boy, You are a mess. You do need someone to share that with.(LMAOOOOH)
Out of respect for Betsy I won't answer here with my own warped imagination.
I was writing up a storm then glanced at the title " The New and Improved Betsy" and i don't think it's nice to decorate her place this way. ( even tho it is in fun, it is kinda tasteless and shows "bad breeding" har har)
All the satirical stuff, in bad taste or good, can go on my thread. Geez i just get it all there! HA! But life is a mosaic and i prefer it that way.
((Bitsy)) I hope when ya see this you laff. How do you feel today? Got any plans for the weekend? I hope you're going to your group tonight!
Our ((CC)) is a really cool dude. I think somebody will be very lucky to snag that man! With his facetted personality and talents.
He certainly isn't boring!
Be well!

I am not going to my meeting tonight. I have Cat. I did call a friend and she and I are planning to take the girls out for Mexican tonight. Her youngest got braces yesterday so a lot hinges on how she feels this afternoon. I got up this morning and checked my bank account. Overdrawn! I made a deposit yesterday at 9 am! The bank admitted their mistake and refunded the charges. I am now two months behind on my truck note. Nissan is willing to accept $187 to bring November current and then defer December and January. Hard to explain and make them understand that I truly am not a loser who won't pay their bills. I asked the guy to look at my payment history where I usually paid more than the note and when I could I paid large amounts. Ugh!!!!

I hope your plans for tonight pan out.
Being in the red like that doesn't provide any kind of comfort.
As for myself i can't change it now and i don't like beating myself up about it. I pass into this kooky zone where i just don't give a damn about it and i get wacky. I mean in a good way.
I get defiantly wacky!

M,
Advise duly noted.
ps, Thanks for the backhanded compliments!
Bitsy,
Certainly had 'NO' intention of disrespecting you with my "bad breeding". Only to lighten things up for a min but, alas M was right(again) - it was probably in poor taste considering this thread's purpose. Rather than make excuses for it, I'll just apologize & bow out gracefully.
What was I thinkin!?
ps, Hope your are feeling better soon! Feel free to cuss me out. I'll just take my lumps & keep my mouth shut about it. My gift to you. Guess I deserve it anyway, right? Right!

She got it from the Eating Well website here it is.4 corn tortillas
12 ounces boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed and cut into 3/4-inch chunks
Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil or canola oil
2 small red bell peppers, seeded and diced
1 large onion, chopped
1 4-ounce can chopped green chiles
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 14-ounce can reduced-sodium chicken broth
2 cups low-fat milk
2 15-ounce cans white hominy, rinsed
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
6 lime wedges
1. Place a tortilla directly on a stovetop burner set at medium-low and toast, turning frequently with tongs, until light golden and fragrant, 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat with remaining tortillas. Cut tortillas into 1-inch-wide strips and set aside.
2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat 1/2 tablespoon oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook, stirring often, until lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
3. Add remaining 1/2 tablespoon oil to pan. Add bell peppers and onion; season with salt and pepper and cook, stirring often, until softened, about 3 minutes. Add chiles, garlic, chili powder, cumin and oregano; cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add chicken broth and milk and bring to a simmer, stirring. Stir in reserved tortilla strips, chicken and hominy.
4. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and chili has thickened, about 20 minutes. Stir in 1/4 cup cilantro. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve with remaining cilantro and lime wedges.

As I have mentioned before I go to a Business Networking meeting every Wednesday morning. There is an older man in there who asked me out last summer. I have since gone to lunch with him again...business related. Last Wednesday night he called and said he had an appointment in my town and wanted to know if I would like to get something to eat after his meeting. He knows I have a child. I have turned him down for dinner twice now. I am not interested. I am in this meeting for business not to troll for dates. Am I being unreasonable in feeling just a little icky about this. I do know that he asked another single woman in the group about dating. It is business not a dating club.

Hi Bitsy.
How r things today? Are you keeping busy and restling your thoughts in the "new and improved" direction? ;0)
He's looking for dates. Is he attached? Gotta wonder. If he is respectful and it is social, he doesn't try to manipulate conversation to becoming intimate, then I'ld say don't let it get to you.

It's gotten to that point.
I mean...it'll be worse next week.
I'm prepairing for an interview this afternoon. 2 more hours to get there.
I am hyper, anxious as heck today. Can ya tell?

I always keep my deposit slips just in case.
I don't know why i feel good for the last few days. I mean this is ODD. Usually a hormonal depression sets in before my period.
NC with the family is a huge part of it and F_book. I just love my friends on F-BOOK! ( and here of course) A few sought me out from the party.
Bitsy. I've heard of Romano, Black, Navy, Fava, pinto, kidney, string but "stretched" beans? ;0)
