My mom did it with Chinese doctor for her slipped disk and I'm not sure if it healed her completely slipped disk problem but she would always have problems recurring with her back due to having lifted something very heavy someday.
I hope that was somehow helpful! Good luck to whatever endeavor you plan to do!!!

Hi Mamabear!
Sorry to hear you are having pain without relief. I did have accupuncture 12 years ago. During my first pregnancy, I had carpal tunnel syndrome. I was in constant agony. My hands were always numb but still painful. Nothing helped. I couldn't sleep at night because of the pain.
A friend recommended accupuncture. So, I did have a few sessions. I felt it helped, but it did not completely eliminate my pain. I was told that it takes several session until one sees improvement.
It was freaky seeing the needles going in, but it didn't hurt. Just a tiny pinch.
Hope it helps you.

Thanks ladies.
Sorry it took so long to get back with you, it's been hectic.
I was irritated when I saw that I had a typo in my thread title! Well, I guess that happens sometimes when you're in a hurry.
I'm looking for an accupuncturist (if that is what they are called) but I'm a little leery. But now that I know it doesn't actually "hurt" then I am open to the idea. I live in a rural county and not much around here so I will have to drive. But I am hoping it will be worth it.
Is it very expensive?
