Gazelle,

She posted a thread on support with or w/o poem and many of us responded to her. Perhaps you missed her post, but I believe she is doing fine. I think she probably mentioned something about going to summer camp.

I hope you are comforted now!

~Love, Ras~

Hi MamaC: Thanks for continuing to post your conversations w/ Jigs. Today's was bittersweet. She will be getting better care but she knows she could die. Boy, she is just facing this head on, isn't she? She's amazing. I could just shake that gramma! I can't imagine making a child as sick as Jigs make her own food. I am venting, venting, venting about that!!! Thanks again for sharing and keeping us updated. SD

SD: I think Jigs is a very strong, and sure of herself type child. She may fuss about standing up for herself, but when she does it's with full force. I wanted to say to you and anyone else that I think all of us here that have prayed, encouraged, had a kind word to say to her.... (not taking away the magnitude of the blessings God has given here).... each of us here have worked toward empowering this child. I truly don't think that she would still be with us, or that she would have even gone forward in the beginning if she had not known there were so many of us here pulling for her. That she has each of us behind her when she does make moves to watch out for herself. I have to laugh to myself when I sometimes look at how strong willed she can be and think "did we create this?" But, this ilttle lady will go far if she does pull thru. And she is determined. Thank you SD and each one here for backing this child. Thank you SC for letting her stay as long as she did. I just know that when she said she has her rainbow that this is the first step of her whole new life. And I know she'll never forget any of us here.

Thank to all w/ love,
mamaC

MamaC; You may be right that our AAC group (especially you and Bonita and AW) have empowered this little girl. She had NO ONE in her life to encourage her or listen to her or guide her. She was being abused and everyone was looking the other way. She has learned she is important and I think she likes herself now. She has developed quite a personality in a very short time. I really get a kick out of her when she stands up for herself. She's not afraid anymore. She's amazing. I think our butterfly has left the cocoon.

🙂

I'm amazed by all of you. You have been a miracle to jigsaw, and having such fantastic folks here to help one another, is what this place is 'all about'.

Hugs and Peace to Everyone on this thread, and all other threads.

SC

((((((mamaC, SD, & SC))))))

I am so inspired by jigs and I am so glad to see that strong will inside of that child. Thank God for that back-bone of hers. I truly believe it will pull her through this illness, too!!

I've missed you all and missed posting on these boards. Hopefully, I will get internet access back as soon as possible. But until then, it will have to be the library for me and Kinko's, the copy place.

Love you all!!

~~bonita 🙂

((((((((everyone))))))))
jigsy surely is quite an inspiration to me and from what i read to many others. Hse has touched my heart, spirit and life.
I am usually so saddened by what she is /has gone through, but then I hear her being so sweet, brave and strong, and it all just fills me heart to see her facing all of this, and learning, and pummelling through. She is quite the little 'trooper'
I have learned so much from her, and a huge part of it is her patience, and coping with all her frustrations so graciously, and still finding the energy to have such a wonderful sence of humor, and to be creative.

When I want ot shake 'gramma' or kick her ion the shins, She just tells me that she told gramma she loves her, adn says thank you on the rare moments she shows jigsy some kindness.

she sure is one heck of a woman!!!!!!!
(((((((((love, hugs and prayers for Jigsy, and all who love her)))))))))

PS, Thanks SC for poppin' in.

Hi.
Hope Jigsy is doing okay today.
She had a pretty big disappointment this Saturday, and was taking it rather hard, but from what i hear((I'll let MamaC elaborate))
She got up the courage to make a phone call seeking out some advice and answers from her socialworker therapist, and things will be taken care of one way or another.
Please keep praying for our precous little friend, she sure could use a break.

Hi all:

PLEASE pray for our Jigs. She is on her way to the hospital as we speak. She is so terribly sick. She had the first of her second round of chemo treatments today. Did not tolerate it at all.

Thanks for your prayers.
