How do you deal with the fact that you are imperfect?

You could have lived YESTERDAY better than what you did. You could have done THAT better and THIS better.

When you'll die, there could have been better paths and choices you could have made.

How do you deal with the fact that you're imperfect? Its bugging me. Right now I cant get to accept the fact that what I am doing even right NOW could be better.

Since nothing is perfect, everything can be made better.

If one wanted to be perfect, that would mean that this person was in possession of absoute truth (remember: It is not enough to do your best, you need to know what to do and then do your best).

Its ok, and even important to strife for living in a good, efficient, careful, intelligent and loving way. But we are only human, so it is also important to know our limitations, to accept the occational faults, to be able to wiggle around obstacles and keep ones humor, to feel compassion.

In fact, the older I get the more I appreciate *troubleshooting* skills in all areas of life. Because troubles will never be extinct, so one of the most important things is, to find a constructive way to deal whith them.

External troubleshooting is easy. At work I easily spot if one of our methods is not up to standard, or if data are misplaced, things could be better organized...

Internal troubleshooting, about my own problems is where I run into obstacles. Organizing my day, keeping contact whith friends and relatives are the easier ones. Getting a grip on my life in general, finding the lumps and bumps that hinder progress - well, that is still a challenge.

Wouldn't life be boring whithout challenges *rolleyes*

yup,

but it IS difficult to accept ones imperfections in a loving way, and not just become sloppy, or procrastinate. It must have to do whith finding the balance between acceptance and ambition?

I think if we realize that is the nature of being human we can accept that we are in a learning space. Think about the big picture here. Do we really feel this is the only place for living in the universe? I think if anyone was perfect they wouldn't be here. Simple as that! Go east on yourself because screwing up leads to eventual growth.
