Are they true, based on science? I have asked 2 intellectual men in the last couples of years and both confirmed to me that Horoscopes are not true or cannot be trusted, simply coz they are not based on true science.

Any comments, answers, thoughts....?

~Thanks, Ras~

Take any daily horoscope. Read it and apply it to anyone you know. could be the same for a Virgo, Pisces or Libra.

Just like the Chinese sayings you get in the fortune cookie. Take it, adapt it and concort it to suit your own personal agenda, and then it's true!

Yet, I have been known to read Virgo's daily horoscope for fun.

There is something to be said about the moon and it's cycle. I has a force on the earth and I believe on people. Whe the nursing home residents get pretty loud and roudy during the full moon peaking, whether the cause or not we tend to say "There's a full moon out tonite; no wonder for this craziness."

I think a lot of things that are true are not based on 'true science'. NOne of our own understandings of God are, only so much of love and hope and such can be boiled down to science and brain chemicals, a lot of it simply can't be. Memories, sensations, the feeling we have in the moment we get out of the bath and the candles are still lit and such, all abstract and half-scientific if that.

WHat I heard about the stars though is that many readers do not adjust to the way the Universe and stars have shifted and realigned, that you have to adjust to that to figure out your true sign becasue so much has changed up there since it was invented. I don't know about that either, but if I don't like my Capricorn horoscope I will pick and choose between the one before and the one after it!

sew, my dr. was keeping a close eye on me assuming that I would go into labor on the full moon. She said it happens ALL the time. Makes sense, it effects a lot physically and enviromentally!

I admit that I am totally confused. Here, you guys tell me that they are true and the other intellectual guys tell me NO, they are not. I am totally at a loss. I pray for clarification in this area!

EF,

This I can tell you is true, tho' whether or not scientific data has been collected to prove otherwise or not, not sure.

While learning about hurricanes here last year, the news report stated they were preparing for additional births to occur during the peak of the hurricane coming thru. Seems that something with the barimetric pressure brings on early labor and more babies are delivered than otherwise during the hurricanes.

Now I wish I had paid more attention to what that was all about.

Any scientists or researchers amongst us to enlighten us on this phenomena?

And doesn't the full moon or the moon's cycles affect the ocean tides? Hmmm.....

Here's something cool to throw into the mix...

Some 2000 years ago, the date, time and location of a special baby boy was determined when a few astrologers followed the northern star to the town of Bethlehem.

You know the rest.

Y&R: LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLll

This is EXACTLY what I told Christian man when I asked him about horoscope and star signs, he said was astronomy.

He said that there is major difference between Astronomy which is the study...I think of the stars; ANS Astrology which is the study of....

The point I am trying to make here is NOT to confuse between ASTRONOMY and ASTROLOGY.

One is valid, I think it is Astronomy and the other is NOT valid which is I think Astrology.

I hope we can have validation feedback from one of the intellectual guys here!

I think what the Magis was studying is ASTRONOMY not ASTROLOGY. This is where the confusion comes in, i.e. the Magis were studying the stars.

Horoscopes to me are not real. It is like putting your faith into something that you would rather have control your life than God.

Ras, they are junk. Think about it sweetie, they are not biblically based although I do agree with Y & R...the wise men followed the stars...astronomy. Astronomy is another subject altogether, and I do not understand this one.

Omw,

Thank you for your answer! I told Christian man that the Magis studied the stars. He said they studied Astronomy not Astrology.

Astronomy is true science. But Astrology - the one to do with star signs, horoscopes are not true.

That's why people confuse between the two of them.

Nice to see you again!

Susan Miller's "Astrology Zone"
see for yourself! I beleive they are true when done correctly. Ever hear of Mercury retrograde? That is when electronics go whacky and banks transpose numbers which make mistakes - which has been studied.
Also look at how many same signs show up around you in your life! I am surrounded by Gemini's. They have something that I can learn from their common characteristics.
I really have seen alot of accuracy
with following my horoscope and within my chart. My question is what does the date on which you die represent. Never came up with a good answer for this question.
Bookmark Susans Miller's Astrologyzone website and try to read your sign each month. It comes out on the first. You may be amazed!

Thanks HD for your feeback and input. I highly appreciate it.

Well, I used to like to read the characteristics of my friends and lovers of their horoscopes and see it theirs match mine.

About a number of years ago, I was talking to scholarly intellectual man who assured me that they were not true science. Thereafter, I posed the same issue with believing Christian who confirmed to me that Astrology and Horoscopes are not true science.

Here, I jumped in and said what about the Magis weren't they studying the stars. I cannot remember his reply. However, I was somehow disappointed cause I always thought that Horoscopes were the best way to enable me to understand people.

I do not read what is written in every day's newspaper and magazines. I used to read what was written in books about the personality, qualities...talents, gifts etc.

So, now I am convinced that Horoscope is not true science even tho they may sound like true or seem applicable to folks and friends we know.

Thanks again! ~Ras~

Ras,
Astrology does not fit into traditional science. Why? Because it can not be proved.
It does however fit into Quantum Psychics. Susan Miller's "Astrology Zone" is really great. The website is posted monthly and it is free!
So what do we have to loose by checking it out?

A good book is written by Linda Goodman entitled Sunsigns. I read it years ago. It left footprints on my heart.
Her book "Star Signs" is also very good! Actually even better then Sunsigns. But you probally would not like that one. It is very metaphysical.

Why don't you rent the movie I was speaking about in another thread.
"What the Bleep Do we Know?!"
I think it will allow you to expand you imagination about science!
There are 14 scientists throughout the movie who explain the unexplainable! In plain english.
The scientists all hold PHd, MD - etc.
All highly educated researchers!
My favorite characters are Joe Dispenza and I really took alot from JZ Knight. It opened up my mind!
Hope you will! You seem to be interested in stars!
