Free - thanks for the words, made me cry...

GG - Thanks for dropping by! gives me a smile I feel like we know each other so well though just haven't met.

Anyways ladies...
I'm feeling sad today...I should be happy...but it's bring up sadness.

Time is getting away, I'm not moving it's like I'm stuck emotionally, psycologically, and all the other "ally" words. I guess the months leading up to my birthday I'm been doing some soul searching, and yet I expected to find and answer, for it to pop up like it does inthe movies to be there. To be a new person, to have my ideal life, I don't know....

Just rambling now...but i'm sad because I feel stuck...like this is it...

Sorry I didn't mean to brng the thread down..just been pensive here.

I'm having dinner with the family tonight, parents, and my brother and his kids, and my girls.

Army, there is a part of you so much like me which is why I feel like I know you well too. Now this is just something I have been thinking recently...I too feel stuck mentally, moods up and down, yet deep in my heart, I feel a difference. Go back and read your earliest threads because that helped me see a difference. In fact, I am quite embarrassed by many of them.

I think we may be looking for the new and improved person to emerge, but these baby steps we try are going to result in a gradual change. I am scared armygirl, of those steps into the unknown, yet, I never want to go back to where I was a little over a year ago. I also try this thinking...Do I want to spend the rest of my life in this mental state? Hell No, I don't. Anyway, a few tidbits by gg.

Enjoy your dinner tonight! Happy Birthday again...(((army)))

gg, I guess if i'm honest I do feel a difference.

Who knows maybe it's good to be stuck where we are for now. Maybe it's meant to give us strength. But your right I don't want to be stuck forever. It's almost like being in limbo, I don't want to go back, because even though I think, things are the same, they are not. Just by me realizing, what my situation is/has been...that is already a change.

It's a journey...

Hi army-

Is your husband gonna have dinner with y'all too? What ya havin or are ya goin out?

I too struggle on my birthday- hard for me to focus on the positives when I've made so many mistakes and now here I am pretty much just starting out, in mid-life. some people my age are paying off their houses, or re-financing and re-modeling, or re-financing and investing in other houses or elsewhere. I just bought my first. That kind of thing.

Sometimes I feel like I'm spending my adulthood recovering from adolescence.

Yep- life is a journey.

hugs army!

Hey I've a question- what made you pick the nickname armygirl?

One more question: what was the best birthday you ever had?

I like armygirl - gg always calls me that or armyangel which is what kasie/mamacin call me.

I don't like armyleo - it brings up negatives, i hate it actually but site coordinator wouldn't let me change it.

Army - because my H is in the army, and alot of my searching awarness came when he was deployed. and

Leo - I picked it two fold because H is a L.E.O. (Law Enforcement Officer), I'm also a leo zodiac sign

so I guess when I signed in he had a strong hold on my mind. Now when I look at it, I tense up....

No H is not going... I think we are going out to eat.

Hi army!

I'm glad you had a good time.

I remember sometimes my ex husband wouldn't go to things like this. At first, it really hurt and bothered me, but after a time, I remember thinking 'Thank GOD he didn't go kuz I had a good time" My ex husband was a fun vaccuum.

Again, happy birthday woman!

(((Army))), belated happy birthday!

I just got home from out of town and am catching up with AAC. Sorry to miss your special day, but sending a big belated cyberhug. And wishing you many happy birthdays to come :o)

I agree that birthdays can be a time of looking back and taking stock of your life; and I'm glad that on *this* birthday, you are noticing the growth and changes you've made since coming here. You are so right, it's a journey.... and all there is, is the journey! Aren't we lucky to have been blessed with some good travelling companions :o)

love to you and looking forward to seeing what the next year brings...
your friend, kroika
