well, wd, many people think that dems calling the GOP Satanists is propaganda, a way to get Christians to turn democrat.

You care about Iraq. The Iraq war bugs you. Bush went there. So to you he's SAtan.

Again, wd, Satan is concerned with souls.

don't EVEN say "how dare you" to me. The pubs think YOU are Satanic for supporting abortion. Dems want all religious stuff taken out of public eye- In God we Trust, the 10 commandments, etc. And the pubs say YOU are Satanic for that. Sound ridiculous? Well THAT's how you sound too, wd.

YOu say the pubs are Satanic for the Iraq war.

It's just stupid. To call another political party Satanic. And all these "evil" deeds. Whatever. It's a ploy to get people to side with you.

And it's a weak one.

the only people who are gonna say "yeah wd! GOP is Satan! Down with Satan! Down with GOP!" are only the ones who need a reason to hate as much as you do.

And cut the wishy washy crap. You wanna profess a belief in Satan but wanna pretend that doesn't mean you have to believe in God.

Hello, wd! God made Satan! Satan WAS an angel! duh.

You're using religion when it suits your purpose: to get people to vote Democratic kuz you don't like the Iraq war.

There are other ways wd.

The use of this country's religion for your own personal vendetta makes me angry. Just as angry as when the pubs use it against you.

It's wrong. It's selfish. It's ridiculous.

lol omw! I haven't heard that one yet. that's really funny.

I read my post and I think it was a little harsh.

I want to express the following viewpoint:

The political party's in our country are not Satanic and neither are the people who vote for them.

Our party's and our people have different viewpoints and perspectives. That does not make them or each one of us Satanic.

The use of the word "Satanic" is propaganda. It closes people's minds to opposing viewpoints because everybody knows "Satanic" is bad.

This country's political party's are not bad. Our country is not bad. Our citizens are not bad.

We are not evil. We are not Satanic. And we are not bad.

What we definitely are, is lucky, powerful, and blessed.

Free,

I really have no opinion as to whether there is a Satan. Frankly, I tend to doubt it.

But if there is one, then GWB is definitely hes servant.

Basically, I am asking people to take a moral stand.

I have some flippin complaints. Where do ya stand?

You do not believe these deeds are evil?

Maybe you do not believe that there is a such a thing as evil? Are all deeds equal in your eyes?

I believe in supporting a woman's constitutional right to the privacy of her own body and the right to make her own heartbreaking decisions. I am a man. I can't make those decisions for a woman.

I do not support allowing a minority of people's bizarre religious ideas dictate the law.

That is not "supporting abortion." It is called "supporting the constitution of the United States." It is called "supporting separation of church and state."

To compare that with murdering hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children? For money?

Gimme a break.

Break given, wd.

I support abortion as well. I see it as a woman's choice.

But you gotta hear me, here, the whole Satanic soap box thing is used against the democrats as well. they see it differently. They see it as murder of innocent lives.

That doesn't mean they are Satanic. And it doesn't mean you or I are, either.

The Satanic scenario is propaganda, nothing less, nothing more.

Not agreeing with a viewpoint doesn't make those who do Satanic.

Both you wd, and those conservatives who scream SATAN! at you as they point a finger, sound absolutely ridiculous.

Kuz it is, absolutely ridiculous.

For some reason, wd, I've an urge to tell you why I hang in the middle on the political scene. I don't like extremes.

My grandpa told me something that has stayed with me since I was a little girl.

he was in the trenches in WW2 or was it WW1? he was in both wars. Anyhow, it was Christmas and they were in trenches. I think it was WW1 come to think of it kuz his friend was Mustard gassed. Him and his buddies started singing Silent Night, low, so as not to be heard. they finished. And then in the silence they heard, sung low so as not to be heard, Stille Nacht. Silent Night in German.

We have different viewpoints. We fight for different things. We fight sometimes with our lives.

But we're all human. And that makes our value equal.

wd, the Taliban controlled Afghanistan, an entire country.

That's no chihuahua.

A little off topic here...but it is my opinion that it is a dangerous mistake to dismiss the likes of the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden as "annoying little dogs".

It is that mantality that has gotten us into this mess in the first place.

Just my opinion.

Hi Free and Lollipop.

Please remember that I let everyone know at the outset that this thread was going to contain hyperbolic and inflammatory rhetoric.

At one level, I just need to vent.

At another level, I am calling for Moral Accountabilty from our LEaders.

And at another level....I havent acheived that level yet. Really, I want to do the comparison and the cost-benefit speech things.

The small dog thing was about comparison. I was comparing the power of the GOP to the power of the Taliban and Bin Laden.

For example, let compare the *magnitutde* of power of the Taliban versus the GOP.

OK, Taliban controlled Afghanistan, while the GOP controlled the United States of America.

I submit that by every measurable criteria, the USA is much more powerful than Afghanistan.

Starting with the fact that they have 1/10th of our population.

Then go on to count money, technology, size of their army, the relative number of nuclear weapons that each nation has.

Here, let's compare our respective navies.

Battleships:

USA: Lots
Taliban: Zero

There is a huge difference between lots and zero.

Do you HONESTLY wanna go there wd? You are inviting in Whitewater, Monica Lewinski, and having sex on the Presidential Seal.

A moral comparison of the GOP and your party's leaders is gonna be ugly.

Your leaders aren't saints wd. they're not moral. Not even close. You call for moral accountability and both parties lose all leaders.

GOP controlled the United States? Well, duh. They got voted in. All of them, last I checked.

And now you'll go to election fraud. The democratic party got caught giving out cigarettes to street people if they would register.

We have electoral votes because of margin of error. It is not possible to tell who got the actual popular vote because both parties' numbers fall within margin of error.

I know you know about that and how it works. You're a research scientist. Most people don't know how that works.

There was no election fraud so cut it out.

wd, you support and defend Iraq, Iran, and now the Taliban, while you slam the GOP, the voted in party of our country.

Who are you?

You hate our country. I love it.

Oh Free.

I must trust my knowing of you and your good intentions.

I must let that carry me past what seem to me, to be your unfair methods.

"wd, you support and defend Iraq, Iran, and now the Taliban, while you slam the GOP, the voted in party of our country"

"You hate our country. I love it."

Given the bazillion kilobytes of text I have genertaed on these subjects, I find it very hard to believe that you actually believe the things you just said about me Free.

And I think it is very unsporting of you to offer personal attacks against me Free, especially when those attacks are perverse and grotesque distortions of the elaborate positions I have described.

You represent my positions to be the opposite of what I have described. That is not very friendly.

wd,

you're not making any sense.

I'm sorry if you feel my posts are unfriendly. I find them assertive.

Your posts about the GOP aren't friendly, wd.

I find them grotesque. C'mon- Satan?

Pretty extreme.

That's gonna invite an extreme response, and I've tried not to be.

It seems to me wd, that you post inflamatory things and then cry foul if somebody calls you on it and posts back with the same language and attitude.

That's not fair ball.

You're not being victimized here.

You posted some inflammatory things and you got inflammatory responses. That's normal.

You set the tone for this thread. You set it wd.

You have defended Iraq, Iran, and now the Taliban, while calling the voted in party of this country Satanic. I'm not on your bandwagon on this one.

guest probably isn't either. Two people out of this whole site not on your bandwagon.

Realistically, you're not doin' too bad.

and I still love ya!

Free, you wrote:

"There was no election fraud so cut it out."

Yes, Free, there was. On a grand and Satanic scale. At least according to the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee study.

The House Judiciary Committee Report documents that it was carefully arranged that voting machines were rigged so that votes for the non-GOP candidate were recorded as votes for the GOP candidate, namely, GWB.

The GOP does not rule America because they "won" the elections! THey rule "despite" having lost the elections. They rule because they fixed it so that elections are not decided by popular vote anymore! Elections dont count anymore!

GWB Jr. LOST two popular elections in a row.

The PEOPLE of the United States of America turned out in force, and they voted AGAINST GWB Jr. Twice in a row.

The GOP knew they would. The only thing they had on their side in the general public was hatred of gays, and opposition to abortion.

So the GOP rigged the machines and also used other means to make votes for the opposition turn up as votes for GWB Jr.

Not only do I want my son to be safe, I wnat him to be given the respect he and others like him deserve for sacrificing their lives for a country full of arguementative, dishonest and hateful people on both sides of the political arena.

I've looked for about an hour for what you stated and I'm finding nothing supporting your statement. Alot about Ohio, mostly a couple Democrats who are all bent out of shape. Your guy lost, get over it. There's another election coming.

the satanic crap is inflammatory- I've told you that. the GOP is not satanic and neither are the people who voted that way or the people of this country.

I was under the impression that you wanted civilized conversation. I think I get it. WD's rules apply to everybody but wd.

fine. Whatever.

have a happy discussion.

Hello Free,

I do not believe that you as a person are satanic Free.

I thought I already explained: The Satanic language is intended to inflammatory. When I go out of my way to use inflammatory I hope it has an effect.

But I wish that you would consider the idea that perhaps I have a purpose to using that language that is beyond being inflammatory. That purpose is sincerity.

I did not compare the GOP to Nazis or GWB to Hitler for a reason.

The reason is that would be unfair to Hitler. He was mainly a threat to Europe and Africa.

Free, I do really, truly believe that the Modern GOP is the single greatest threat to democracy, freedom, and the American way that our nation has ever faced. And that's the good news. I really truly believe that the party is dedicated to a path that will lead to the extinction of the human species.

First we (every living human in every part of the world) will all be enslaved, impoverished, live in filth, be tortured, and then we will all die. That is where that party insists on taking us.

That's what I really, truly, sincerely believe.

I really, sincerely, truly believe that.

Hi Free:

You don't have to read for an hour, just for 30 seconds.

"We have found numerous, serious election irregularities in the Ohio presidential
election, which resulted in a significant disenfranchisement of voters. Cumulatively, these irregularities, which affected hundreds of thousand of votes and voters in Ohio, raise grave doubts regarding whether it can be said the Ohio electors selected on December 13, 2004, were chosen in a manner that conforms to Ohio law, let alone federal requirements and
constitutional standards...

With regards to our factual finding, in brief, we find that there were massive and unprecedented voter irregularities and anomalies in Ohio. In many cases these irregularities were caused by intentional misconduct and illegal behavior, much of it involving Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell, the co-chair of the Bush-Cheney campaign in Ohio."

Free,

What I am curious about is:

What about the GOP, its candidates, its platform and policies do you support?

Is it that you want abortion to be illegal? You want discrimination against gay and lesbian Americans to continue?

I thought you were opposed to theocracy. But the GOP popular base is about imposing biblical law on the USA. Starting with discrimination against gay and lesbian Americans. Is that the attraction for you?

Is it the failure to fund education that you like? Is it the cutting of funds for battered women and children that you like?

Is it the cutting of funding for pregnant women and infants that you like?

Is it the suspension of the constitution that you like?

What the heck is there to like?

What? What single thing have they done that you like or agree with?

Hi Lollipop,

So, having established that the Taliban Navy is not a significant threat, I next want to remind us of how they became a threat.

The Taliban as we know it is a creation of the GOP.

We did not like Soviet influence in the Middle east. The invasion of Afghanistan bu the USSR really pissed us off and worried us.

So we recruited and trained and funded...the Taliban!

We invented a new idea: Radical Miltant Islamicism. We invented it because we wanted to sell it to the Taliban so they would help us. Resist Russian influence in the ME. We told them "Hey, if you can get this radical militant Islam thing going, you could make the little people think that the Russians are agaisnt Allah and then the little people would resist the Russians, and YOU get to take over the country?

The Taliban ruling Afghanistan?

That was our idea. We wanted that. We made it happen. By We, I mean the GOP.

Hey , has anyone ever heard of a planet called Venus? It is the second planet from the sun, and is remarkably like the earth in its size and bulk composition. The main thing that makes Venus different than the Earth is something called the “Greenhouse Effect.”

Because Venus has a high concentration of “Greenhouse gasses” it has undergone what is called a “runaway greenhouse” process. Consequently the weather on Venus sucks.

Room temperature on Venus is hot enough to melt lead.
And it is more than hot enough to melt sulfur. All the sulfur actually already boiled and now it rains down as hot sulfuric acid rain.

Can we think of anyone who actually *likes* Molten Sulphur and who Likes sulfuric acid rain?

I can think of only one person.

You know, the guy with horns?

Personally, I am opposed to the streets of America becoming rivers of molten sulfur. Guess I’m in the minority, though.

Britain seeks ‘bold’ climate action, hires Gore
Report by senior economist says it's cheaper to fight than let it happen

LONDON - Unchecked global warming will devastate the global economy on the scale of the world wars and the Great Depression, according to a major British report released Monday that seeks to quantify the costs and benefits of action as well as inaction.

British Treasury chief Gordon Brown, who commissioned the report and who could very well become Britain's next prime minister when Tony Blair steps down next year, said former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, who has dedicated himself to warning about global warming, would advise the British government on climate change….

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15480912/

Is administration muzzling warming research?
Senator: Two inspectors general investigating ‘censorship and suppression’

WASHINGTON - Two federal agencies are investigating whether the Bush administration tried to block government scientists from speaking freely about global warming and censor their research, a senator said Wednesday.

Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., said he was informed that the inspectors general for the Commerce Department and NASA had begun “coordinated, sweeping investigations of the Bush administration’s censorship and suppression” of federal research into global warming.

“These investigations are critical because the Republicans in Congress have ignored this serious problem,” Lautenberg said.

He said the investigations “will uncover internal documents and agency correspondence that may expose widespread misconduct.” He added, “Taxpayers do not fund scientific research so the Bush White House can alter it.”….

A report last month in the scientific journal Nature claimed administrators at the Commerce Department’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration blocked the release of a report that linked hurricane strength and frequency to global warming. Hansen had said in February that NOAA has tried to prevent researchers working on global climate change from speaking freely about their work.

Hi WD,

Yes, I am aware of how the Taliban came to power.

I am also very aware of the effects of global warming and how our current administration is doing everything in it's power to keep the seriousness of it from the public.

But yeh, make sure that Clinton is impeached for getting a blowjob because after all....that is the most serious threat to life as we know it.

lost...I'm going to respond to you, and only to you, because your post went completely unnoticed and ignored.

I, a humble American, am proud of your son and all the sons and daughters that put their lives on the line to protect our country, and our freedom.

And while we sit - warm, overfed, and enjoying all the freedoms our sons and daughters have fought for - they put themselves in danger halfway around the world to keep the TRULY satanic people in the world - the terrorists - from taking even one iota of our freedom.

And while they do, politicians and Americans alike sit here at home and spew vile, evil accusations at one another. And we know that when those troops finally come home, they will not receive a warm welcome. We cannot stop hating each other long enough for that.

So, send your son a hug from one American who believes in what he is doing...defending his freedom and the freedom we all enjoy.

And peace and blessings to you for raising a son who has the courage and conviction to protect us despite the danger.
