Bitsy -

Do you want to be specific about your need at this time? Or do you want "generic" prayer?

Hi Bitsy,

If I may, I'd like to share what Marianne Williamson wrote about money, from Illuminata, A Return To Prayer:

Money

Money has inappropriately become the bottom line in today's society. It needn't be that way, for other things could be the bottom line instead: that people be happy, that children be cared for, that peace reign.

There is nothing wrong with money. Like everything else, it can be used for purposes of healing or purposes of destruction. It isn't evil to make money. We can be getting paid for a job and still not be doing it for the money.

When that is our attitude, in fact, we are at our most abundant. Internal abundance produces external abundance. Purity does not mean absence of cash. It means that you desire for money to be in your life to whatever extent and in whatever way it would serve God's purposes.

We must create a new context for the experience of wealth. What has been used to oppress can be used to heal. Seek us first the kingdom of heaven.....

The prayer:

Dear God,

I surrender to You my wealth, I surrender to You my debts.

Whatever fear I have about money, please remove this fear from my mind.

Whether I believe that money is scarce, or money is too important, or money is bad, or money is unspiritual, whatever my ideas are that block me---and You know what they are---dear Lord, please help me.

I wish to have whatever abundance You see fit for me.

I want money to flow freely into me and through me, that it might bless my life and the lives of others.

I surrender to You now any judgments I might have on those who have wealth.

I do not wish to judge, for I know my judgment holds back my own abundance.

Whatever lack of integrity I might have shown, if I am indebted or have violated anyone else, please wash me clean and heal my mind.

I make amends to You and to this person in my heart.

Please show me what behavior You would have me follow, Lord, that I might begin again.

Please place within my mind the attitudes toward money that You wold have me hold.

I give up my own interpretations and ask for Yours.

Whatever money comes to me, may it be used to serve You.

Thank You very much.

Amen.

Bitsy,

Might I ask you...in a 'perfect world' - what might you see yourself doing as a totally fulfilling (sp?) occupation?

Just - bottom line - what'll make you happy in this regard, do you suppose?

See, I have a theory of sorts.... (if you will indulge me) My thinking is that a whole bunch of the day to day frustration we feel and experience in life is nothing less than the 'universe' (or whatever) telling us that we are NOT on the right path - otherwise - why would this frustration even exist in the first place, you know? By comparison?

(This is something, BTW, that I am working on myself.)

What'll make you happy?

What'll make me happy?

(Maybe together we can figure it out.)

If you get a little heads up in this regard, please feel free to share and I will do likewise.......I am totally open to the possibilities......

Regards,

tBt
