CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Oh joy, this is a happy day! I watched President-elect Obama's speech live on CBC Newsworld and I felt hope in my heart.

The tasks ahead are huge... but with a genuine statesman in the White House, there is hope for progress.

Thank you, American voters, and all those who worked to ensure the election wasn't stolen like the previous ones.

Ah.... the hard work picks up again tomorrow.... but tonight, we celebrate!!!

Thank You Americans!

Don't relax yet.100 days left of Bush rule, and many more damaging propositions being pushed through til Jan 20.

Lets hope congress can block whats happening with the Bush _Wackos during the transition.

Speaking for those of us in the US, I think that we, as Americans, should feel very proud today. For so many reasons.

God Bless America!

Sounds like Bush is willing to do everything possible to make the transition a quick and smooth one, has offered his help in any way possible. Shows great support of Obama and camp.

I think everyone is ready for change and ready for action.

And I think Bush has had 'nuff of that job and can't wait to get out.

Kongratulations Kroika & Ko. & all America! I stayed up glued to the coverage over the pond in ole Blighty. There is huge rejoicing & cheer here! A new era dawns - driven by hopes for inclusiveness & peace, after so much fear-driven bigotry & hate. An educated, informed, articulate statesman at last... &
being such a good orator & so handsome = the icing on the cake! Hooray! 🙂

hey gazelle,

I am kompelled to korrect any mistaken impression I may have given that I liven in the US or am Amerikan. I don't and I'm not -- I live in Kanada and am a very proud Kanuck.

However, some of my most beloved relatives are Yanks and also some of the peace aktivists who inspired me and revolutionized my life at a young age.

So it is from north of the border that I salute the good US people who have elected a great man to be their new President. And it's up to all of us to help him get his job done.

personally i think the best thing about this whole election is that the American people felt like they could make a difference and could make a change.
