I am in the process of it. Of a marriage, (divorced now) and of a recent relationship that started out too fast and furiously sharing of so many commonalities.

Bummers

bummers indeed. I'm going to talk about it with my therapist tommorow, but I don't know anything about it right now. Except that I can't take this emotional roller coaster and we are in one of those furious passionate couples that are too dang influential--any advice? How is it working for you?

I wish I could tell you, but I can't. It might take a long time. It is a package deal, as I see it. Being, dealing with codependency and yourself is numero uno. Plain and simple. Once you learn about coda, yourself, what traits you have to deal with, what are your 'issues' and how to learn amd practice appropriate behaviors and thought, boy, then you got it. Besides getting your low self esteem up and running where it is a good place to be.

So this site and many books for reference and past years of counseling, all contribute to my learning how to deal with it and recover.

Please, do share with us what you got out of counseling. It may shed some different light for all of us and prove to be helpful as well. Good you are in counseling, anything and everything helps a bit.
