OK - some more random thoughts!

The lyrics of 2 songs, throughout the years, have always resonated something special deep within me.

I don't think that I have been able to fully "connect the dots"....until now.

The first: "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong - in part:

"I see friends shakin' hands,

sayin' "How do you do?"

They're really saying "I love you."

Complete lyrics here:

Right there along side (My Man!) Stevie Ray Vaughn in his lyrics from the song "Wall Of Denial" in part:

"Simple things in life bring the greatest pleasure.

A smile, a kiss, a little babys laughter.

It makes no difference if we run away in fear.

The simple things in life hold us so near."

Complete lyrics:

Case in point:

Some time ago I had to venture out of my 'safety zone' and go grocery shopping.

Only THIS TIME I thought that I would conduct my own little private experiment and actually make eye contact with other people there.

Know what I found? Little, simple connections with strangers where a simple, mutual smile was exchanged.

Made me feel really connected.

Just this simple one thing.

And just now going outside a neightborhood kid saw me (aka "the GROWN UP")from across the street and asked if I could get his little football which was stuck in the branches of a pine tree. I said, no problem and took the end of a shovel and with one swift nudge, the ball came tumbling down and he was just a happy camper!!!! 🙂

The point of all this, I would say - is that it is becoming readidy apparent to me that it is just these exact type of simple things in our life which connect us all.

Who would have thunk?

Something soooooo simple?

Kind of, simply amazing to me - I am learning now.

Anyway - just thought that I would share.

(shrug)

Maybe life and its simple pleasures probably more readily availabe to us than we ever thought would be - need not be complicated at all........

You know?

(I am tending to think so.)

Just something I thought I would share.........

>> need not be complicated at all

Its true, I've always believed that things can be simplified and thats, thats the best way to go. The best things and solutions and stuff, they're all simple. Even buying a car and a house, if things get very touch for decision making, simplifying things and sorting them on that helps.

I refuse to believe in complexity and I simplify whereever possible.

I even admitted this to my fiance just recently.

How I can see myself making a mountain out of a molehill.

(He seemed very relieved as to my insight.)

This is NOT a perfect world - not by any stretch of the imagination!!!!!
