I wouldn't expect the truth out of Glenn Beck, or anyone for that matter, via mainstream media. It's all filtered/twisted & misleading.

That is prolly true but he is the one of the few who will critize both sides of the system and doesn't side with either one...It seems the more I listen to him, the more he makes sense to me, he prolly can't go into too much either, or he would be gone and so would his show....

AT least he is trying to expose the people in high places, on BOTH SIDES or should I say the same one, actually...

Perhaps the MMedias way of harnessing peoples reactions to the NWO.

Softening the blow?
"oh yes, the NWO, however we are improving this n that and don't worry. We know about the NWO and our schools will teach our kids what they need to learn, to be successful productive human beings.."

Sorry couldn't watch it. for i wasn't home.

tBt.

Yea F' it! But I dunno hun. Jimbo wasn't really that great. He put out some good music for a while but HIS BAND deserves a lot of the credit too. He was HOT for a short period, then he just totally lost it, turned into a drunkened slobbering doofus and killed himself.

Bob Dylan is more of a modern musical sage me thinks. He parties but keeps his head screwed on. ;0)

Sorry . I'm in a rotten mood. bad day.Heh.

what is wrong msguided, btw you do not seem to be misguided to me! It was ok, not what I expected but ok nevertheless.

Maybe it is to desenstivize us into "accepting" this, never thought bout that msguided, wow good point, mold our recations, calm it down and shape it in a way they approve of...

Wow, good thoughts...

Yea...my best friend back in HS loved Jimbo, had his pic everywhere, esp when she smoked pot...was kinda of funny, cause it was 1983...not the 70s but he was a good looking guy till he grew his hair and bread, then oohhh, not so good looking anymore, his music was good however, still have the soft parade somewhere here....

Hi BFG!

Thanks for tha compliment! ;0)
I didn't choose my nicname to impress anyone. It is a reflection of my struggle.

I chose my name due to it's double meaning.
I felt misguided by my family. They sold me a load of crap when it came to my own identity and true potential.Taught me to trip myself up and expect very little from others. They didn't want to discuss important subjects like politics, finances, religion...sweep it under the rug, eat lots of food, and "don't worry be happy" stuff.

That kind of upbringing makes it hard to succeed.

Now i am guided mostly by what is real and true. Aiming for more control over my life.

I am beginning to wonder if having control is obtainable by any of us.

I wrote in my thread about a difficult situation at a job I started and I'm pretty upset about it.

I feel betrayed and used. But that's what a lot of employers do to people.

Our lifestyle just breeds competition and pits people against eachother.

C'est La Vie!

I know in my family we just did not communicate and we were told what to think and believe and I never had my own thoughts or ideas till much later in life, when I did, I Was shamed for it....

Now I see the common thread in all evil people and not just my own corner of the planet but I see control and the need to control as something very evil and something done a larger scale than I had known as a child.

IT sickens me.

I am probably older than most of you but I am convinced that the media elected this president. I no longer watch CNN and MSNBC as I always have because I don't get the "dark sides," just the hyperbole that they feed me. I have moved over to the Fox network and I now listen to the radio talk show hosts. It is sometimes amazing what the callers have to say and how intuitive some of them are. This whole meltdown or whatever you choose to call it has really opened my eyes and I am scared (politically) for the first time in my entire life.

Yes, so many of us are, it is funny to actually hear people talk that live around me, they rely on the mainstream media for the "gospel truth" and if you do not agree or cite other sources, then um well there is something wrong with you, I mean are you getting your news from reliable sources I so often here, you know those nuts who claim that the sky is falling but I see who they are and what they are all bout, so it does not really bother me, that much cause I see them as brainwashed people anymore...but it is important in my opin of course to be careful who you talk too about this, cause th sad fact is that if you are not rooting for the left or the right, then your someone who is to be feared or worse.

Never have I known the average American to be so politically charged. There have been issues in the past, granted, but nothing like what we're up against today. We, my husand and I, have several lifelong friends that I really don't bring up political issues with because they are friends and I don't want to cause rifts, which is where it would go, because everyone is so very emotionally entrenched in today's politics. I try to point out my way of thinking...thinking that makes sense to me, but I don't go overboard bcause too many people know all the football stats, they know which celeb is sleeping with whom, they know all the latest computer/video games and technology, but they haven't taken the time to listen to and research what the gov't wants to do and how it will affect us (til it's too late). Then they will complain.

Sorry for butting in..but in my experience Beck is nothing more than a fear monger...and he profits from it.

And No - I dont think we are headed for a global meltdown/depression. Life is what we make it.

To read about Act 129..which offers incentives for energy efficient measures..go here:

Beck works for Fox News Corp which is owned News Corporation (the second largest media comglomerate in the world behind Disney) which is owned by Rupert Murdoch. Murdoch fears no one. he's worth over 4 billion and he's the 131st wealthiest person in the world.

"Life is what we make of it" has always been a tried and true old adage her in these United States. I hope with all my heart that it rings true in the future. The gov't. is bigger than we are though, and they impose the "rules." Life might just become what "they" allow us to make it within those restrictions. Give that some thought. I am not all about big gov't.

I know bout the act 129...very interesting to say the least, how well it is packaged for us, oh well what a dummy I am to think otherwise! HA!

Anyhow Bangle I agree but somehow I think all the positive thinking will not get us out of this one here,,,the govt is too big and its getting bigger, we are in serious trouble but what ever, think happy thoughts and all will be well, silly me!

"Life is what we MAKE it" is not the same as "think happy thoughts and all will be well."

It's worthy to note that people may bemoan "big government" in one breath and then bemoan the mortagage backed security real estate bubble that came about through a lack of regulation in the next. Suufice it to say that some big governemnt is bad (e.g. warrantless wiretapping), while some some big governemnt is good (banking regulation, public schools, public libraries).

I'm guessing that you have some distinct definition of "big government."

Things like OSHA, the interstates, social security, the resource conservation and recovery act, safe drinking water act, the Sherman Anti-Trust Act, and a minimum wage - are those 'big government?'

BFgirl,

I was not and am not trying to make a fool of you - I just wanted some clarification. I was just stating how I thought some regulation and oversight is needed..other times it may not be needed or is overdone to the points of being counter-productive. The interstate commerce clause of the Constitution is arguably 'big government.'

If you feel you've been slighted or somehow insulted, that certainly was not my intent. I wouldn't be insulted if you had asked me for some political clarification.

Money As Debt.

This video explains the history of Money and what it has become today.

http://video.google.com/videop.....790090544#

BFG...The world you speak of is made up.

If it's made up it shouldn't be so important and shouldn't cause such despair.

I'm in the same boat when it comes to despairing over a fantasy.

People just need the tools to get in touch with themselves and reality again.

i just wonder if he knew what was the PLAN or he was forced to go along with it...He was a politican in Chicago I heard and I heard it was dirty politics as usual, so maybe he did know what was in store here, I think he may be a communist too, he seems to have very similiar kind of thinking.
